Traveling the world to cure 274 sick Leda clones, brilliant scientist/couple Cosima and Delphine fall deeper in love… and deeper into a mysterious agenda which threatens to tear apart their noble mission… and their hearts!
Still mad neither the show nor the comics ever addressed how manipulative and toxic Delphine was, especially with Shay, but despite that I'm happy to see Cosima happy and doing what she's wanted to do since she found out the Leda were sick. Hopefully her PTSD dream will just be that, a dream :(
Oh, and as someone said in another review, the style of the comics is really annoying for picking up who is a clone and who isn't. Apart from the one with the side-cut, no one but Cosima has Tat's face. But I would accept that if only they were portraying the new Leda as truly different, but so far they're all slim and normcore brunettes. Even if they're clones, there's no way they all have the same body shapes, the same health, the same everything. In the show, it made sense that they couldn't change these things, but they did try their best to not make it look like Sarah with a wig on. In the comics? It's Sarah with a wig on all.the.damn.times!! Michaela and Zarin especially. They look like Sarah trying to impersonate Alison while on a con-artist job. If it's gonna be difficult to identify them as clones, at the very least give us different shapes and abilities and styles.
Es genial tener una continuación de Orphan Black con Cophine como las protagonistas, y ver los misterios de las demás sestras que falta por conocer. Espero que publiquen los demás cómics, porque leí que lo habían cancelado 😢
I'm so sad they cancelled the rest of this series, I would have loved to read about Cosima and Delphine traveling the world and meeting other clones. Maybe eventually we'll get the story in a different format or they'll start it up in comics again. Fingers crossed!
This could be a movie if they ever wanted to bring Orphan Black back. Basically explores Cophine after the show with international sestras! It's sapphic and scientific. The next 2 issues come out at the end of the month and I'm so excited!
Not 100% pleased with the drawing style, but I don’t know if I’ll ever be, with such a strong visual in my head of the Sestras and the television show. I still find it difficult to tell if someone’s a Leda and it’s usually through character interactions rather than the whole clone-thing.
This issue exceeded my expectations! Both art and story are beautifully done! I love seeing the continuing adventures of our Ledas and how Clone Clubs popped up across the globe. I can't wait for the next issue!
Strong premise and really nice, popping colours. It's a shame that as this comic series got better and better, it's weaker early instalments and their poor reception is what contributed to it's lack of pre-sales and ultimate cancellation. Would have liked to have followed this story - 4 stars.
Perfect way to satiate the lack of Orphan Black, and a great continuation of the series. Lool forward to seeing an expansive world and adventures of the sestrahood
