No rating....Just ok for me

OK so I am on a roll of unfulfilling reads:( It started out fairly good but then all of sudden Chloe, the way she acted in the beginning when she went to HIM for help, swear I could have smacked her silly...after that I was kinda all set. Jax, now HE was great but her....just ok and another unsatisfying ending!!!!!!! Arghhhhhhhhhh I ended up skimming and sped to the end which wasn't that great either!

I feel bad for saying this but I really didn’t care for the writing. The writing style seemed more conducive to that of a mainstream romance read. The dialogue between the bikers seemed more like women having a reasonable discussion than outlaws. Not to mention that Jax just allowed Antonio to behave so disrespectfully on several occasions. There were several grammatical errors as well. I couldn’t read more than a few chapters.

An exciting MC read.
Story begins with Chloe searching for Jaxson in a bar. They were once close friends, time and circumstances had separated them, but at this moment she needed his help. Jaxon is now the Black Devils VP, and he’s favourite to be voted as the new president. He surprised to see Chloe, but jumps right in to help and insists she return with him to safety in his home.... she’s not too thrilled to be too so close to Jaxon, as the attraction she felt when she was younger is now a full blown adult lust, but she has no choice and agrees.
The plot line to the story is full of many unexpected twists and turns, also characters have to be watched, who to trust is the question.
It’s friends to lovers, the MC is usually avoided by Chloe but Jaxon is different from any other alpha biker she has met, and he was once her best friend, she’d known him all her life and feels safe in his presence. Great chemistry between the characters and the drama and suspense had me turning the pages, begging for more.
I loved the rocky road they encountered before any type of peaceful and happy ending.
And now I look forward to more Black Devils MC reads, this one was fantastic!!

Absolutely not what I expected. It is an amazing MC read and it has a great storyline and plot. The characters are so well described and they have an amazing chemistry and passion between them. The twists and turns are so unexpected that they made it worth the read. It is of a nice length. It is a captivating read and it keeps you on the edge.
A story about friends that become lovers. Jaxson is an alpha biker and he has been friends with Chloe all his life. Now Chloe needs his protection and that turns out to be more than just that.
I loved their journey towards their HEA and they really have to fight for it. This mix of drama, action, kidnapping, love, chemistry, passion and emotional ups and downs makes this book worth the read and I just had to read it in one session.

Boring and all over the place

Okay so I am on this MC book kick. They tend be one of my favorite genres to read. So with the description and the book cover ( I mean that book cover sold it really for me) I tried it out and decide on a whim I would buy it. I am glad that it didn’t not cost too much since I am typically very skeptical about just buying books on a whim by an author I have never read before.

Unfortunately this was not a good impression. And I see from other comments that they love some of the authors other books.

This book is kind of all over the place and Jaxson comes of kind of like an petulant child at times. Especially when it came to Chloe. He came off as overly insecure at times. Like especially when he was with Chloe.

Chloe was a whole other issue for me. At first she needs Jaxson to help her because her step dad tries to rape her. And then when he offers her up help and a place to stay she gets mad wants to go home. Now I know for a fact that once you seek help in situations like this you don’t want to go back into that same situation by no means unless there is no other option. She had options. Then she switches gears again when Jaxson is explaining to her why he stayed in the MC. Telling him De Luca basically blackmailed him and he shouldn’t have stayed involved and got out of the MC. Only to have sex with him claim that she has wanted him all along. And then again when Jaxson finally tells her the truth about her father’s death. Leading up to that convo she internally confessed that she has always been fascinated by the men and the MC life as whole. So she was just so wishy washy. She was one way one moment and a completely different way another.

The book was just slow moving and dragging. A huge part of the main story took place within a 3 day time span. It just dragged to and I got bored with the story. I didn’t finish it. And I do typically try to finish a book even if I don’t like it and I feel like I will eventually I will but right now not so much.

Jaxson is an intense character who lives for his MC. The MC saved his life and made him into the man he is today. But ghosts from his past haunt him daily. Now that he is in the running to be the next MC President, his past responsibilities and his MC world begin to collide. Chloe is the girl of his dreams and he has been looking out for her and her Mom since her Dad died.
The problem is Chloe's Dad was from a rival MC and Jaxson is responsible for his death. When Chloe, who is now all grown up needs Jaxson's help he doesn't hesitate to help. But Chloe is now a beautiful woman, who he wants more than his next breath. The problem is he feels guilty for the sins of his past and knows he needs to come clean to her. But, now one can truly know how another person will respond to the truth, and when Chloe is taken after his big reveal his world comes crashing in.

This book was intense and very detailed. I love the story line moved a little quicker but, that's just me.

The first in the series, "Jaxson" has so many complicated elements to the story that it seems to be playing out in three books. Jaxon and Chloe's story and their connections with the MC, both past and present, sets up a great story that is raw and gritty. Jaxson has his hands more than full as he tries to protect Chloe, get ready for the vote in the club, and exposing the traitor in their club business. A lot of Jaxon's past is exposed as he works to bring about justice for wrongs against the MC. A hot sexy romance with suspense and betrayal, this emotional read has Jaxson and Chloe getting a HFN after a vote that is explosive. I would like to thank the authors for gifting me "Jaxson". My opinion is my own. This is mine. 4.25 Stars!

Good book

This is the first in the series and is a good hard biker book Jaxson is the next in line to take the presidency of the black devils he has an arch rival in Antonio the current presidents son he is a bad guy who will cheat and lie and dishonour the club to get his way. Chloe is a girl that Jax has taken care of since she was eleven after he accidentally caused her father's now she is a grown woman and needs his help and their attraction for each other is off the charts even though he could get into trouble for being with her. A lot of things happen along the way but he is made president and this is likely to be the start of their troubles. I really look forward to the next book hopefully it will be just as good as this.

Jaxson was a troubled teen, when he was taken in by the President of the Black Devils MC. Chloe was always told to stay away from MC members after her father's death, but cannot help but be drawn in. These two built a strong friends, but can their friendship be more? Will Chloe forgive Jaxson for the past? Will Jaxson be able to keep Chloe safe?

This is a great start to a new MC series. This book had the right amount of darkness and grit that makes it so I cannot wait for the next book in the series. I couldn't blame Chloe for being scared after witnessing a bad MC. I loved the fact that even if Jaxson was supposed to be a bad guy, when he loved, he loved hard. Good read!

Wow! What an amazing book from these two talented authors. I love MC romances and this is one of the best I've read yet. The story is well-developed with multifaceted characters. We have Jaxson the hunky bad boy biker with a good heart and beautiful Chloe his lifelong friend who needs protecting. This story is action-packed with all the elements of a five star read, drama, intrigue, amazing chemistry, suspense, danger, kidnapping, jealousy, revenge and heartwarming love all leading to the HEA. If you're looking for an excellent plot that will keep you at the edge of your seat, “Jaxson” is for you. Give it a try.

I am a HUGE MC fan, so when I was given the chance to read and review this book, I was super excited. Once I started reading, I got a little worried because it took a while for the story to really get my attention, but once it did, I was hooked! I loved the characters as well as the many twists and turns throughout the story. And the ending? Gah! What a cliffhanger! Fortunately, I have the next book, so I can dive right back in to Jax and Chloe's world.

Overall, this was a pretty good read. Yes, it started off slow and contained several grammatical errors, but once the story picked up, I really enjoyed it!

An MC story with huge heart, I absolutely came to be love Chloe and Jaxson. There are some definite blocks to happiness, but their chemistry is amazing, and they make one another better. A facinating read that just grabbed me right away. The authors do a great job of collaborating, the plot dramatic, introspective, romantic, steamy and more. The characters are also very well done. I highly recommend this book to any fan of romance and enjoyed the journey. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.

How can you not get totally hot and bothered when you look at the cover of Jaxson? Ohmigod—so dang hot! 🔥🔥 Unfortunately, while the storyline was excellent, the book was a little slow to get rolling. The characters were pretty well developed, but I just didn’t feel the chemistry between Jaxson and Chloe until almost the end. The plot twists were well executed; and the HEA was pretty darn hot. All and all...a pretty darn good read! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and thought it was good.) ❤️

This was an on the fence read for me. For me the characters didn't provide the connection and emotional depth I would have liked. However, the storyline had promise and at times was engaging. The pacing is slow and the narrative in the duel POV often seems repetitive. I liked the Romeo and Juliet theme and the steamy chemistry between Jaxson and Chloe. There are many obstacles that stand in this couples way which results in drama, action, danger and violence. Ends in a happy for now. This is my voluntary, honest review.

Jaxson is a VP in his MC, while Chloe is the daughter of the dead VP of the rival MC, who he has been watching out for, for the last 10 years. She is now home from school and in some trouble and his protective instincts roar to life as does his need for her now that she is a grown woman....
This is a great story with lots of action and adventure, as well as plenty of steam.

I wasn't a fan of this book. I received an ARC for this book so I wanted to read it all the way through and had to really push myself. It did get better but still wasn't for me.
I didn't feel a connection between Jaxson and Chloe. It wasn't your typical MC story with a few different rules. Good storyline but didn't quite get make it great. Don't like leaving bad reviews, you may love it and I hope you do.

Jaxson has been protecting Chloe for years ever since her father died. Now Jaxson is probably going to be voted president of his MC and is stunned to see a sexy Chloe in the bar he is drinking at. Sparks fly but Chloe is in trouble and someone else wants to be MC president. Can Jaxson keep them safe? This is a fast paced read with loads of suspense and drama. I liked the characters and story. A good read.

As much as I like K. J. Dahlen's books and MC storylines I found Jaxson's story not as well put together as the Authors other work. For me Jaxson and Chloe's characters were to weeshiewashie for how the storyline was. I did like storyline itself that it did keep me interested that I would looking into the next book .

This is the 3rd book and the continuation of Chloe & Jax love that at some point you wonder if their ever going to be able to get their HEA with all the twists and turns and lies that have been told. This is my first book to read in the series and I loved it I honestly couldn't put the book down with everything that was happening in it. Definitely a must read if you like MC book's.

Awesome ! Loved Chloe and Jaxson’s story. I was captivated by this storyline. The characters were intriguing and kept me wanting more as thugs began to heat up.full of emotions that grabbed me and held my attention throughout the book. In complete honesty, this was an OKAY read. It had so much in it that I could have loved but it just kind of fell flat for me. I liked the story line but it seemed to miss the mark in the way it was written. The MC's were likable and well written but I just couldn't find myself pulled into their story.
