Cosigning a Lie

Rate this book
Innocence can be lost in an instant, a life-shattering moment in time. For high school senior Annie Steinberg, that turning point occurs when she learns that her mother, Marian, has stumbled upon compromising photos and incriminating letters, which reveal an ugly truth about her father, a secret he had hoped would remain undiscovered. As the illusion of their perfect family vanishes, changing everything, Annie is suddenly thrust into adulthood, struggling to support her mother while navigating the complicated dynamics of their now irreversibly broken home. But patterns of blind trust are often repeated, and Annie soon faces her own bitter trials and disappointments. Before she can bravely move forward to embrace the magic of a new beginning, she must acknowledge that consenting to live with obvious deception is much like cosigning a lie.

Wonderful!

For a debut novel, this one is very exceptional. It would be very exceptional for an author with books on the best seller list. The story flows, the characters are extremely dimensional, you just get caught up and can’t stop reading.

Hopefully we’ll see more from this new author! Anything I try to read will be a step down after finishing “Cosigning A Lie”.

Somewhat disappointed

I'm only giving it a 4 because I was very disappointed in the ending. The book was very well written, I thought, until Jason's will was read. I didn't understand why you would have Annie written out of his will. The stepmother triumphed and she shouldn't have.

Loved the book!

Wish it had been longer! I would of loved to read about Matt and Annie 's life together. And more about Marion. Hopefully there will be more! Love all of your books!

Such a great story!

Another wonderful story, Paula! I truly loved it and just had to keep reading it until I finished. You make the characters come alive and give them such strong personalities! I can’t wait for more to read from you!
