Tom Shepherd gives us a comprehensive fundamental understanding of CBT and a framework for it. Additionally, he manages to tickle us with some of its history and evolution.
I learned some good skills on using CBT as a tool for my daily life; though more in general terms as opposed to technical guidelines.
This read is not much fun in itself and seems more adequate to academia due to its didactic intonation. Maybe my expectations were higher...

Nice overview of modern therapy techniques

This would be useful to b someone considering therapy for the first time. It doesn't have enough depth to substitute for therapy, which is a good things, but does give insight into the what and why of certain techniques

Good but has flaws

This was a basic book on CBT and other therapeutic strategies. The content was fairly good and I learned a lot, but it needs some basic editing. Confusing sentence structure, spelling and grammar errors, and other writing issues abound.
