The term physiological therapeutics (physio-therapy) is used in contra-distinction to empirical therapeutics. Some speak of physical therapeutics to express the same idea which physiological therapeutics is supposed to convey. Practically physiological and physical refer to the same subject-matter in medicine. In a strictly logical sense, how ever, the t_wo terms are not synonymous.
