Hope Wallace left Atlanta after being betrayed by her family and friends in the worst way. Now, running a homeless shelter in downtown Miami, she was finally doing what she wanted with her life and working at putting the past behind her. The only thing marring her happiness was the constant desire to explore the lifestyle her new friends enjoyed so much. She had tried that once, and it led to disaster and her losing everything, but the urges kept pulling at her until she finally succumbed and braved going to a club.
Miles Cavenaugh fell for Hope the minute he saw her bruised face and determination to protect a friend and resident at her shelter. His violent childhood kept him from forming relationships, his fear of losing his temper if he came across someone harming an innocent woman or child made him anti-social and preferring to stick with his close friends for companionship. But when he hears Hope is at a local club while there is a serial abuser of submissives making the rounds in Florida, he rushes to ensure she stays safe. Unable to continue keeping each other at arm’s length, Miles and Hope agree to a short-term affair where he’ll introduce her to the lifestyle she craves until she gets her interest out of her system. But an unknown person is determined that Hope won't find the happiness that has eluded her for so long, and both she and Miles may have waited too long to come clean with each other about their pasts.
Publisher's Note: This steamy romance contains elements of power exchange. While it is book four of the series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone.
I live in the Midwest with my husband and two dogs, enjoy spending time with my daughter, babysitting her two dogs, reading and working puzzles. We have traveled extensively, but I much prefer being a homebody.
I began writing erotic novels with an emphasis on erotic spanking five years ago never dreaming that I would get published. I just celebrated the release of my eleventh title and am very thankful to my publisher, Pink Flamingo, for taking a chance on me and giving me the opportunity to enjoy a fun career. While my earlier books lean more towards straight erotica that will appeal to only a very select audience, my last five books are erotic romances. I enjoy hearing all comments from readers. Once, Hope Wallace had everything -- family, friends, career, fiance. Then she had to kill her jealous fiance in self-defense and everyone turned on her. So she moved to Miami and devoted herself to helping others, running a homeless shelter. Miles Cavenaugh has wanted Hope since he first met her, but he avoids long-term relationships since he's afraid his violent past will lead him to be violent himself. When Hope gets up the courage to explore the BDSM lifestyle, Miles agrees to teach her, but their secrets may keep them from a real relationship together.
Both Miles and Hope are driven by their fears -- him of becoming an abuser, and her of losing everyone again if they find out she killed her fiance. This leads them both to making poor choices for themselves and each other. They're an interesting combination, and their relationship is healing for both of them.
I am always excited when I see a new book by BJ Wane, and for it to be a new series, is especially exciting. The fourth book in the Miami Masters is another great addition and will have two people raised completely opposite, and yet, neither one believes they can have a relationship because of the past that haunts them. While this is an ongoing saga in a series and has many of the main characters from the previous books, this will read as a stand-alone.
Miles Cavenaugh may have had the hardest life of the seven men who met at the juvenile camp over twenty years ago. These seven men have remained friends and have been a support system for each other. Each man has had his own demons that have haunted him, but Miles is still a prisoner of his past, and it has prevented him from believing he could have a future.
Hope Wallace was raised in Atlanta with privilege and wealth. She was an only child of social climbing parents, sent to private school and then to an Ivy league college. Her parents even arranged who she was supposed to marry. But just like in Humpty Dumpty, when the fall happens, nothing can put the pieces back together. Her cold parents rejected her, her close friends turned, and her world shattered. So she left Atlanta and moved to Miami, and now she runs Hope’s Crossing, a homeless shelter for battered woman and children and those down on their luck and homeless. But for once in her life, Hope is doing something she wants, not what someone tells her she should do.
The plot will have Miles becoming a guardian over Hope, and doing his best to stay hidden but watches to make sure she is safe. After seeing her battered from an angry man over one of her residents, he wants to keep her safe. Yet, Miles is a closed off individual himself. The only people he trusts are his friends from his youth, and Ed, the man who took Miles in after the death of his parents. Ed isn’t much older than Miles, but he taught him self-respect and trained him in martial arts. While Miles now owns the gym, Ed still works and lives there, and no matter how old Miles gets, he still refers to him as a boy and always looking out for him.
“You’re never too old to have someone who cares enough.”
The story will explore a fantasy and desire that Hope has with BDSM, and knowing that her friends are with men who live the lifestyle, she finally will accept Miles offer to help her explore her desires. Miles also insist that Hope and her assistant, along with some of the other ladies take a self-defense class. The one thing that Miles and Hope don’t share is their past and demons. Both have the fear that if the other knows, they will be repulsed and reject them. While their foray into a temporary D/s relationship is forming, in spite of what they each try to convince themselves of, there is a chemistry between them. While everyone around them can see it, they avoid it like the elephant in the room.
“The sexual chemistry between them had struck with the searing heat of a lightning bolt the first time they’d met and continued to sizzle whenever they were in the same room together.”
The story is explicit with spankings, bondage, BDSM, D/s, and new sexual experiences for Hope. It does include sex in group settings, voyeurism, exhibition, and ménage scenes and power exchange. The story is about being honest, seeking forgiveness, even if it is to forgive oneself, redemption, and trust. There is also secrets, threats, danger, along with revelations and acceptance.
“That’s it, Hope, show me how much you want me, how much you love me.” Hearing her say those three words had set him free in a way he could never have imagined.”
I received a paperback from B.J. Wayne! The things I liked about this book were the character connections, suspenseful events from each other's past, and crime elements that happened during the book. The past issues made it difficult for the main characters to disclose to one another after, because each character was fearful of losing the another, each fought themselves to open up and admit that this was more than a friends with benefits relationship. Domestic discipline and BDSM themes were tastefully incorporated into the novel in a way that made everything believable.
I generally enjoy BJ Wane's books because she creates some wonderful characters and good situations, and that continues to be the case here in Bound to Submit. Miles and Hope both have histories they're not proud of, Hope to the point of fearing that her new friends will desert her if they find out what she did. Neither wants to trust the other with that much baggage, so they set out to have a relationship of the here and now, no strings attached. Of course strings are very soon attached on both sides.
What keeps Wane from joining the ranks of my 5 star authors is the background of the stories. I've already complained about the boat that despite being almost a small hotel can nevertheless be sailed by one person. Here, I think Wane couldn't quite make up her mind whether Hope's Crossing, the women and children's shelter Hope runs, is simply a homeless shelter or a domestic violence shelter. Since many of her clients seem to come from violent situations and Hope actively counsels them, it seems that perhaps she might have done better to make the shelter specifically for victims of domestic violence. Of course, then it would not be so public a place and would have decent security and I guess maybe that would make the plot more complicated to work out. Some people might think I'm nitpicking, but I think the best books in whatever genre are the ones where there is research, consistency, and more attention to background than Wane provides.

This is a good, well-written story. The chemistry between the character nearly scorches the fingers just holding the book. I just didn’t connect with the characters the way I wanted to. I pretty much loved Miles in all his alpha-stalker glory. Yeah it’s creepy, but I adored how much he wanted to look out for and protect Hope. I didn’t understand why he was so embarrassed about how much his mother meant to him and why he was so reluctant to share his past with anyone other than the Seven who had kinda lived it with him. Hope’s the one I had the most trouble with. In previous books we saw a strong independent woman who wouldn’t take any crap from anyone. In this book we learn that attitude is a shell, and a badly fitting one at that. The woman in this book is either a terrified mouse or blitheringly naïve. I also couldn’t buy into her reasons for keeping her past a secret when surrounded by all these supportive people. I know that emotions aren’t logical, but her reasoning fell apart at the first logic test. Even though this book wasn’t my favorite in the series, I still enjoyed it and I’m dying to see what happens with the remaining singles of the Seven. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
Bound to Submit is the 4th book in the Miami Masters series by BJ Wane but can be read as a standalone. This is Miles and Hope’s story-- Due to an incident in Hope’s past, she hasn’t had a relationship in 6 years so she spent her time at this shelter and putting all her energy in there and also cultivating the few friendships she did make and making those friendships flourish. Yet when she meets Miles, something about him draws her to him. Miles is dark, alpha, protective, possessive dangerous and most of all, a DOM. Miles finds himself drawn to Hope and he wants to protect her. When strange things start to happen around Hope and the shelter, Miles' protective instinct flares up and he is determined to protect Hope, whether she likes it or not. They both have tortured pasts and will they be able to let each other into one others’ lives while at the same time let Miles help protect Hope from the danger that is stalking her. Who is it that is stupid enough to go after Hope, the woman Miles is head over heels for? Is it the mystery Dom who is attacking women or someone else? You really will love the latest in the Miami Masters series, for you will get to see previous characters/couples from previous books were brought into Hope and Mile's story in a way that adds to the story, not detract from it plus the story includes danger, crime, intrigue, suspense, passion, spanking, BDSM, friendship and fantastic romance. This book has it all and if you love romantic suspense with BDSM elements, then this is the book for you.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Bound to Submit is the fourth in the Miami Masters series, and like the previous three, it continues the theme of men (and women) with pasts who come together and find in each other a way to heal.
I've been interested in Miles' story since I first started this series, and it definitely met my expectations. He's such a tough, dominant man, and in Hope, the woman who runs the shelter first mentioned in Bound and Saved, he has finally met his match. Miles has become obsessed with watching over Hope, watching outside the shelter, going by there numerous times a day (and night), and spending all his time thinking about her. He knows he's not good enough for her, not with his past, and that's why he's never made a move on her. But, when he finds her in Chains, his Dom instincts flare and soon the two are indulging themselves in a strictly casual thing where he schools her on the lifestyle she's always been curious about, but had never allowed herself to immerse in since a particularly bad incident in her past. Of course, casual rarely, if ever, remains casual when passion is involved, and Miles and Hope are no exception. But, their secrets just may ruin anything solid the two may contemplate, once they're aired.
Bound to Submit is definitely my favorite of this series so far. Miles and Hope make a great couple. They're smoking hot together and I love how layered and interesting they are, both individually and as a couple. I'm definitely looking forward to more from this world.

Book four in the Miami Masters series see our next couple forming: Miles and Hope. Both have a past that they are ashamed of and hide from view, figuring no one can accept or forgive them if they knew.
This is a BDSM romance, with lots of sex, spankings and D/S activities. The focus is on the growing attraction between Miles, an experienced Dom, and Hope, who longs to experience submission, but has trust issues. Readers of this genre will have seen this plot play out before, with the expected pitfalls and revelations, most of which revolve around the secrets they keep. Which leads to my one criticism of the book. Since the core of a consensual D/S relationship is trust, I would think an experienced Dom would understand and insist upon truth from both parties. Apparently that only applies to others.
Setting that issue aside, what makes this book exceptional are the characters. They have depth and range and draw the reader into their world. Hope is my favorite. While she desires to experience submission, she is not weak. She is willing to stand up and fight to protect those she feels responsible for, something I very much admire.
As mentioned earlier, there is plenty of sex and BDSM action to keep the reader entertained, and the story provides a nice HEA.
Highly recommended.

There are 7 men in this series that met over 20 years ago. “The Gang of 7” When they were all 15 and in a juvenile camp together. They are all now grown and they have grown from that experience and all best friends. They all play hard together (not with each other) but with their women.
1. Bound and Saved - Zachary “Zach” Allen-Vancuren & Cassandra “Sandy” Bowlin 2. Master Me, Please – Dr. Dax Hayes & Krista Matthews 3. Mastering Her Fear – Jackson Davenport & Julie Martin 4. Bound to Submit – Miles Cavenaugh & Hope Wallace 5. His to Master and Own – Sean Bates & Alessa Alexander 6. Theirs to Master – Troy & Trevor Carlson & Paige Wilcox Bound to Submit is the 4th book in the Miami Masters Series and I am working my way through them! I LOVE this series. This is Hope Wallace and Miles Cavenaugh’s story. Miles appetite is voracious due to him going hungry as a kid. In every book it seems like he eats everything and his friends know him and tease him about his appetite. It’s a good thing he is into exercise and owns a gym.
Hope owns Hope’s Crossing a place for the homeless. Miles has tried to protect Hope for a while now. We have met both Hope & Miles because they have been in a previous book!
I loved reading Bound to Submit and can’t wait to read Book 5 His to Master & Own!
Bound to Submit is the fourth book in the Miami Masters series. The first time Miles saw Hope, he felt an instant attraction, an instant tug for protection, and he instantly got frustrated. He didn’t do relationships. Due to an incident in Hope’s past, she hasn’t had a relationship in six years, and spends all of her energy with her shelter and fostering the few friendships she’s formed. But something draws her to Miles. When they come together, can they learn to trust and find freedom to love, or will their pasts condemn them to a lonely life?
I think one of my favorite parts about this book is that both Miles and Hope are so tortured from their past, so drawn to each other, and while their hangups are for different reasons, they can understand each other’s pain and guilt. While no tears were shed, I did feel the connection between Miles and Hope, cheered for them, and truly felt for them. And that connection, phew, it was hot! This book did a great job of being a stand alone, even with previous characters being prominent in the storyline - everything was explained well enough and I was never lost. I really enjoyed reading this book, I’m extremely curious about the first books in the series, and would definitely recommend this author!
I have to be honest. I loved books 1 and 2 in this series….missed book 3, but read 4 anyways since it can be read as a standalone. I agree that it can, but it is better if you meet the characters in order I believe since there are couples formed and past events that get mentioned so it would spoil your enjoyment of the prior books.
So Hope was a character in a prior book and now we get to see how her and Miles get together. I loved the basics of their story. She had a troubled past based on her first experience in BDSM that caused her to leave town and start over. Miles wants her, but at the same time he’s one of those “doesn’t commit” types. So while I liked the steam between them a few things like how quickly she caved to his pressure didn’t seem to fit her character. She seemed like a strong take no nonsense woman running her own shelter and yet she caves to his demands immediately. I’m not sure why, but it didn’t seem like they connected fully and the threat seemed weak and that distracted me from fully enjoying their journey. It was steamy and still a good story and I would recommend it.
Hero 5 | Heroine 4 | Steam 5 | Plot 4 | Overall 4.5 Stars Dual POV | MF | Wealthy | BDSM | Part of a series #MSBB - I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
After reading Bound to Submit by BJ Wane I realized it is my first book by the author and it gave me a great introduction.
Miles and Hope are the main couple in this, the fourth book of the Miami Masters series. I have to say I like them both for different reasons but as characters, they have the depth that I look forward to finding in books with BDSM aspects in them.
Each character has a strong background, not exactly a happy one, but those are the characters that I find most enjoyable to read about. I'm a sucker for the "rising from the ashes" kind of stories and I don't know exactly the reason why, but books with BDSM themes are good for that kind of stories.
The writing was well done, simple, entertaining, steamy where it should be but without being crass. What I mean by simple is that there were no complicated or flowery words for things, so I didn't need to check the dictionary to understand the meanings.
Bound to Submit is not only a sexy book about a couple that participates in BDSM activities and lives like anyone else. There's an aspect of suspense that I liked quite a lot too and the climax was also well done.

Bound to Submit is the 4th book in the Miami Masters series but can be read as a standalone as the characters and background are well explained. This great story is about Miles and Hope. Miles is dark, dangerous, protective, screams alpha male, and is a Dom who is determined to protect Hope. Hope is more reserved. She runs a shelter, counsels some of the people staying at the shelter, is loyal, ashamed of her past leading to insecurities, and secretly likes Miles. When strange things start to happen around Hope and the shelter, Miles' protective nature goes into overdrive and sparks start to fly between these two tortured souls. Who will be the unlucky person to mess with the woman that Miles cares about? B J Wane gives the reader everything in this story! She includes crime, danger, hard pasts to overcome, erotic sex with raw passion, spanking, BDSM, friendships and even romance in their own unique way! I loved this book and highly recommend this BIG 5 star read! I voluntarily received and arc copy of this book.
Once again BJ Wane does not disappoint with her fantastic 4th book of the Miami Masters Series. This is Miles and Hope’s story who both have their guilt and dark secret pasts. Hope runs a homeless shelter which Miles is watching trying to keep her safe. For Miles it was lust at first sight when he met Hope. He is trying to convince Hope to attend his self defence classes so that she can protect herself, but from what? Is it the mystery Dom who is attacking women or someone else? You’ll have to read this superb book as I don’t want to spoil it for other readers! Extremely steamy read with great chemistry between Miles and Hope. I loved the intense heat between all the characters, nobody does it better than BJ Wane in this magnificent, fast paced intriguing read. This is my honest review for an ARC of this book.
BJ Wane does it again with a fabulous story the 4th in the Miami Masters series. I think this author is one of my favorite storytellers because she has away of keeping my interest from the start until the last page. It was very professionally written and fast pacd with two likable characters, Miles and Hope. Miles came from a very abusive childhood, with him causing the death of someone which Hope also had caused the death of someone in her past. It is interesting to see if they both can learn to share their history with each other or go their own way. Other characters from previous books were brought into Hope and Mile's story but it was done in away that a person doesn't get lost and the author gives enough past history of each person and couple. I hope there will be another book in this series and if so I can't wait to read it.
The fourth book of the series of the "Masters of Miami" is about Miles and Hope. If you have read already some of the other books in the series you will be familiar with the tension between them and maybe have asked what Hope was hiding. This book brings the answer, and it is as shocking and difficult to bear as the traumas the others went through. Miles also has to decide, if he wants to share his past, to finally free himself of some of the anger that he carries with him since his teenage years. I loved the deep characterisation of both characters, as well as the description of their slow acceptance of their feelings and all the insecurities that come with such kind of a new relationship. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. And I cannot wait for the next book in the series.
The spectacular BJ Wane has yet another book out in her sexy and steamy contemporary erotic romance, Bound to Submit, the fourth book in her Miami Masters series. This book is all about gym-owner Miles Cavanaugh and shelter organizer Hope Wallace. Miles has been keeping an eye on Hope ever since he’s seen her with a bruised face, but it’s more than just a professional interest he has with Hope, and soon he is teaching her private self-defense lessons and the joys of submission. But Hope is holding something back from Miles for fear he’ll think less of her.
And her past just might become a problem.
Once again, BJ has done an amazing job on this book! The scenes between Miles and Hope are stunning and electric! Great job as always BJ!
Miles owns a gym and is one of the 7 men who bonded, as children, while at camp some twenty years previous. Now they are all like brothers and all into BDSM, especially aboard their yacht. Hope, once a member of the elite is running from a tragedy in her life, one so horrendous her family and friends disowned her. Miles wants Hope but he has secrets of his own he doesn't want to reveal to her. Can two people with so many secrets find happiness in more than sex? I love Miles. He is the strong silent type and boy can he dominate. Hope is forthright and a powerhouse in her day to day life but she wants to submit to Miles in any way she can. Third in the Miami Masters series. Good read.
Loved this one!!! This is the BJ Wane that I know. The characters, Miles and Hope, are extremely dynamic and easy to mentally connect with, making you care what happens to them individually and as a couple. The chemistry between these characters scorches off of the page keeping the pages turning at a fast pace. I am so much happier with this installment of the series. The last one I read (which was book 5) did not feel like it was a safe, sane and consensual BDSM relationship. I was actually very taken aback by it. So I was very happy to feel good about this one. I recommend you give this author and this series a try.

I am a fan of BJ Wane's stories, but this one was just okay basically because of Hope. I liked Miles well enough. He has past issues from an abusive father and getting sent to juvie after getting involved with a gang as a teen. He's the strong, silent type that can't believe in long lasting relationships. I just couldn't like Hope. Her reason for not being open with friends or Miles was flimsy and the author manufactured angst beyond believable. Obviously her new friends embrace the lifestyle, but she thought they would reject her for enjoying it. She also thought it was something she would get over. These sentiments were repeated multiple times and were annoying.

The fourth book in the series and it is the story of Miles and Hope.
Both Miles and Hope are scarred by their past and carry it with them everyday. they are attracted to each other, but don’t want to commit. Miles is strongly protective of Hope and wants her safe, but he doesn’t do relationships. Hope want to explore more and knows Miles can give her what she wants, but she is afraid he will judge her for her past.
These two characters dance around each other and like the martial arts classes that Miles teaches they advance and retreat. It makes for an emotional read. and when they do get together sparks don’t just fly, they explode.
Bound To Submit is the newest addition to the Miami series of books by BJ Wayne. Miles is determined to keep Hope safe while struggling with his feelings. He doesn’t love easily and wants to keep his distance but just can’t fight his emotions. Hope is fighting her own demons from the past and fighting feelings of guilt for wanting to submit to the right man. Unfortunately, Hope has been judged harshly in the past for her desires and wants and she doesn’t really know who to trust because she has been betrayed before. I really enjoyed this newest edition and I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Each member of the "Gang of Seven" has their own little role. Miles is the protector. His childhood has shaped him into the man he is. Although one "incident" from his past has him thinking he can never have a HEA. After their first meeting, Miles appointed himself to the job of protecting Hope. A position Hope doesn't think necessary. As the two continue to dance around their attraction, secrets from the past continue to haunt them. Secrets have a way of coming back to hurt you. Will they learn to trust each other with the truth before it's too late? I absolutely love the "Gang of Seven".

Another great book by BJ Wane. This book is part of a series about a group of dominant men, and the women they can't resist.
Miles has been attracted to Hope since he first saw her. Hope runs a homeless shelter and Miles is worried about her safety. He manages to persuade her to join a self defence class that his gym is running, but that doesn't stop the attraction. Hope has trust issues after a major problem in her past, and Miles was badly abused by his father. Will a quick relationship solve Hope's desire for some BDSM elements?
A great read. I plan to read the rest of the series.

This is book four of this great series. Can be read as a standalone but reading first three gives more background. This is about Hope who is very much interested in the submissive lifestyle but her one experience per to a disaster forever changing her life. Miles is a dominant through and through. He owns a gym and is starting self defense classes for women. He has taken to watching out for Hope. He is letting his last rule him. The sexual tension between them is astronomical. Can these two scarred souls find their way to their hea? Read this fantastic story and find out

Bound to Submit is the fourth book in the series. Miles has been obsessed with Hope since he first met her! Because of his past he’s doesn’t do relationships so he becomes her protector! Hope’s past has caused her to shy away from relationships, so she focuses her energy on her shelter and the few friendships she’s formed. She is interested in the BDSM lifestyle, but has felt ashamed in the past. Miles decides to help her figure out who she is! Can they let go of their pasts? Will their secrets tear them apart?

Two people holding on to demons from their past that keep them from getting closer.
Characters are well written. Miles was grumpy and Hope was ready to try submitting to him. No intense chemistry between the two of them, but chemistry none the less. The storyline is fast paced. There is some action, mystery, and suspense, but none of it lasts too long. In fact, the pace of this book moved so quickly, I wouldn't have minded if it slowed down a bit to give the reader a chance to savor the monents.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
This is the first series by B J Wane I have read. I have really enjoyed all the books in this series and can’t wait to read more. They are so captivating and really fun and steamy to read. I love that strong alpha males meet the women that not only need the discipline but they need the routine and rules that come with the lifestyle. They help each other through their pasts hoping to make a happy future but will it work?

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. This is a great series and BJ Wayne has done a great job. The owner of Hope's Crossing has intrigued Miles since he first saw her. Miles is a dominant and as if he can sense her interest in the BDSM world, he is drawn to Hope whether he wants to be or not. These are two damaged people who exist in the same world, they just have to come to an understanding. Very hot.
Hope and Miles are finished dancing around eachother. Their story is hot and sexy. This is a great adictive series. I love all the Masters. They need hugs. All the characters are well written and there are plenty of hot spicy sexy stories. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I highly recommend it. A great addition to this wonderful series. I am looking forward to the next one.
