Note: I received this book from the author and I voluntarily give this review, it is my honest opinion.

Wars and Wings is the third and final book in the Enlighten series. I enjoyed the final book and the series wrapped up nicely. Everything was leading to this moment, Samuel is trying to break free, the enlightens have gathered to fight the demons and the marks, while Zoe finally comes into her full power.

Zoe has gone through quite a lot in the past few months, when she was told she was apart of the supernatural world, she didn't hide from it, she accepted who and what she was and trained to be able to fulfill her destiny. Zoe while a caring person is also a fighter, she learns to think strategically and learns physical combat all without complaint. Zoe trusts those around her and is coming into her own with their help. Each and every single one of Zoe's friends is there to protect and guide her all the while let her lead their little group and after all, they have been through they have grown closer.

There were a few problems that I had which lowered my rating. Kristin did a flex timeline, which is when the story isn't linear, it's jumbled, I have seen this work but in this story, it didn't work, it just confused me. Then there were a few plot holes, where the story didn't add up, and some of the character's dialogue seemed off.

While the story did have its problems, I enjoyed the overall story. I thought it was very creative and I really liked the characters, I was invested and wanted to know what happens next. I loved Kristin's version of angels, fae, demons, and magic. I found the story interesting and would have loved more information about them.

War and Wings was a good wrap-up for the Enlighten series, it was full of action, drama, magic, heartache, and a couple of surprising plot twists. Some questions were answered, I still have a few, but I got the happiest ending I could have hoped for.

I feel abit sad to see this series finish, as the characters became close to my heart, especially Zoe & Shay. This showcases the notable ability this author has in story development. The realism of the Individuality seat of affections, spirit, thoughts and emotions Kristin Risseghem is able to create is something That appears to exist independently of any book she writes. Leaving her to be able to insert it into any storyline, which brings it alive.
This book concludes this storyline with a fantastic twist, that never entered my mind. I had a fixed idea, that played to it, throughout all the books in the series, so it was a shocker to have it blown to pieces, but brilliant on Kristin Risseghem part. The finality and suspense is much higher in this book, because all the years of protecting Zoe’s real existence which is prophesied to save the end of the world, reaches its conclusion. However after the cliffhanger ending of book 2. She is not able to be with her friends, when they are all needed to deal with the wrath that has been unleashed on the earth. Zoe has to wait until her eighteenth birthday to see if indeed, she is what Keiren & co have been waiting to see if she will become, what they believe she is. Meanwhile more shocking family secrets are revealed. All through this, Love is a common domination, a love that is endless, A Love that has been deprived, A love that has been misunderstood, A love that has United and a love that can tear them all apart. This series gives you friendship, heartache, suspense and mystery. Heart stopping moments, sassiness, Laughter, teeth clenching and horror combined with every emotion you can think of will be felt. If you like Angels & Demons, Faries, shifters and supernatural characters that becomes more than just saving humanity. You will enjoy this series. I have read every book, and been left with continuous feelings of wanting more, even now it has finished, I still want to know what happens to the group characters that grew in my affections. So onwards to finding my next Kristin.D.Van Risseghem read.

Zoe is being held hostage by someone she once thought was her friend, but she somehow feels that he’s not all evil. While Aiden’s plans keep Zoe’s friend busy, it’s up to Zoe to find a way out of her predicament and find her way home. I enjoyed this final book and especially the scenes between Zoe and Aiden as they get to know each other. I do feel like the pacing of the book was somewhat uneven and the first half of the book was fairly slow although it did set the scene for the climax of the story. Otherwise, the story wrapped up the series well and answered most of the questions presented throughout the series. I did enjoy the series overall, but wish the pacing was smoother leading up to the ending. I received a copy of this book from Booksprout, am voluntarily reviewing it, and all opinions are my own.

I received this book for free from the author as an ARC and voluntary chose to review it.
This book was a perfect book to end the series. Zoe is really coming into her place in this series. It is amazing how much she has grown in the few months since she has learned who and what she is. This book was fast paced, but I never got lost. The story jumped back and forth in time between the different characters, but the character and date were shown at the beginning of each chapter. I thought the ending was great. I couldn’t think of a way that it could be better. You have to have the good with the bad to make the story interesting. I am sorry to see the series end, but I have enjoyed it from the beginning.

The author set out to create a series that was memorable and she delivered. This book was filled with action and takes off right after book two. You find yourself feeling the emotions she feels as she deals with the realization that her friends are searching for in vain. The action begins slowly as she deals with her imprisonment. Even though it was hard to read, given the fact that we have been with these characters through the beginning, it was realistic. War isn't an illusion just because it isn't at our front door. The author captured the environment and the emotions in a way that made me feel as if I was there.

It's the end. Kristin did a good job wrapping up this series. The war happens. Zoe and Shay fight with their friends to win the war. It did get a little confusing with the timeline kept going back and forth. Though the author does put at the beginning of each chapter when the time is. This is a satisfying ending to this series. As always I wish Kristin would add more to the end of her series as I always want to know more.

Zoe was kidnapped during prom and is waiting to be rescued. Shay, Kieran and all her friends are trying to get her back. Aiden is teaching Quinn about her other side and planning something. Even Morgan has a part in his plans.
Really enjoyed this book and how so many things wrapped up. There are a couple of things I want to know more about, and maybe one day the writer will get back to this series so I can get those answers. If not it was still a wonderful series!

It was pretty good, but I do think the pacing could be more even. There were issues with it feeling too fast and too slow in different parts of the book, and when it did speed up there seemed to be jumps in timeline.

A flitting ending to a fantastic series! A battle to keep the King of Hell contained in a golden cage as he plots to escape calls on all levels of angels, fairies, and wolf shifters to fight. Plenty of action and twists fill this well written book, with a great plot and characters. I received a complimentary copy and freely give my honest review.

In this book we watch Zoey grow more within herself and she’s been a joy to watch grow. The story is fast paced and the jumps between time lines are easy to keep track of. A great ending to the series and it will be a shame to see these characters end. Another great series by Kristin D Van Risseghem.

War

Such a suspenseful read! It was such a bittersweet ending. I felt like the author did a fabulous job wrapping the series up. Eeek!! There was a plot twist I didn’t see coming. So good. The epilogue gave several answers as well. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did a wonderful job portraying Zoe and the other characters.

Such a fantastic was to end a series. So much happens. So many things that I didn't expect. The end cleared up a lot for the whole story. Loved the ending but some of the happenings are so sad in this book.

Disappointed for the ending

As a final book it was good but not great. It was a key down in the end and that kind of ruined the series for me.
