Bought it cause it was heavily discounted, and since i follow the author on youtube i thought i'd see if i can learn anything new. I thought he might be keeping it simple on youtube but would get into real detail to back the claims but... Spends a number of chapters trying to convince you "his" method is great, as if the book did not already have enough fluff and fillers, and so little substance. It's not too bad for a complete beginner to body building and/or dieting... but beginners should not be considering the concepts outlined in this book, while intermediate advanced would already know everything in the book inside out Spouts many myth-busting "facts" which only play to the mainstream narrative of nutrition, while not citing a single study. I could say "pigs can fly, it's true. there's a study". That might be enough to convince some, but i need more... And finally, the mistakes. Proof reading was not in the budget. Paragraphs repeated and translations from the old version to mention a few. I won't mention grammar mistakes, since i know English is not the authors' natural language. In summary, good for beginners to read, but not to follow.
This is the first time I’m writing a review. But this is a true waste of money.
I am going ti the gym for 6 years now, had a few years of strict diets and schedules, and in the others of going to the gym in order to remain fit. So basics about exercise and food were already familiar to me.
However, the author of this book makes it appear like he invented intermittent fasting, mentions scientific research(without directly referring to it in paragraphs themselves), and overall has a way of repeating information
Would not recommend at all. Read forums. Way more useful
Its a lot of simple basic information. The book is stretched quite thin and it's just a bundle of collected information you can find online. It does give you all the basic information if you are just starting your fitness journey. I won't recommend this book for people who know the basics of fitness and nutrition.
