From the bestselling author of Deadly Deception comes an emotionally thrilling series about the rise of women within organized crime families and the lengths they go to protect the ones they love.
Isla Pierce was seventeen and pregnant when she escaped Walker Plantation. Isla remained underground until she was able to execute her plan to destroy the people she deemed as threats to her and her child. To do so, she married into one of the dominant, white-collar organized crime syndicates -- Amaranthine.
Tensions between the crime families stir up, and rumors of a different war jeopardize Isla's scheme. Her already volatile marriage to Reed Pierce, the boss's son, intensifies with accusations of infidelity. The crisis within Amaranthine unites unexpected allies and brings demons into the light. Including Isla's own. The price is high when battling for the souls of those she loves. However, it is a battle worth the fight--even if it kills her.

I've loved everything Mrs. Beck has written and this book is no different. It had me hooked from page one and sitting on the edge of my seat until the end. Her writing is absolutely incredible! She writes in such a way that you really feel like you are a part of the story. I'm so amazed at the strength that Isla showed throughout her story.
