A Cupcakes-And-Crime Caper Do you believe in luck?
Uptight accountant Andrew Coombs has no time for superstitions – until he meets his own personal Lady Luck, Charlene Nelson, the lovely casino waitress who helps him win big at the slots. But when Charlene stands him up on a date night, Lady Luck is no longer on his side – or in the land of the living.
Who would kill the cocktail waitress? Who was Charlene Nelson when she wasn’t slinging drinks? Out-of-towner Andrew doesn’t have a clue where to start looking for answers…
As luck would have it, Ian and Tiffany are on the scene – though this time, their murder investigation plays second fiddle to an even bigger and incredibly dangerous operation.
Tiffany’s friend Stone is out to clear his name and prove his innocence. When war refugee Tariq Zubair knocks on Tiffany’s door, the final puzzle piece is nearly in place: Tariq will testify on Stone’s behalf and both men will be free to live normal lives again.
But dark forces lurk in the background and want the truth to stay buried at all costs, even if that means burying Tiffany and Ian along with it! Can the sleuths solve the mystery without becoming a statistic themselves? And can Stone finally come back into Tiffany’s life for good?
Lucky Charm in Las Vegas is the thirteenth book in The Tiffany Black in Las Vegas Mystery Series. It can be read as a standalone, but the Tiffany Black books are best enjoyed when read in series order.
This is a cozy mystery featuring a strong female protagonist, some unusual friends and family, and a mystery that needs solving! It has no graphic gore, bad language, or sex.

Las Vegas, the place to go to have a good time, spend some money and see the sights. What one does not expect is to meet a cute girl, strike it rich and then cute girl ends up dead. But that's exactly what happens to unlucky Andrew Coombs. He just planned on being in Vegas for a friend's bachelor party, but that gets canceled. He decides to stay anyways. What he doesn't know is that his date would wind up dead. So, he enlists the help of local PI Tiffany Black and her friend Ian. This won't be an easy case as Charlene appears to not have had any enemies and finding a plausible motive will be a trick in an of itself, but she'll find more than she expects when she starts to do some digging. Lucky Charm in Las Vegas by A.R. Winters is the first book in this series that I have read. I have read another book by this author and enjoyed it so I decided to take a risk on this book. Lucky Charm is an engaging mystery novel from start to finish. Tiffany Black is an interesting character. She is a blackjack dealer and then a PI on the side. Her friend Stone is in hiding, but when his friend Tariq comes to town, he begins to show up. I like that Tiffany is an overall engaging character. She wants to help out, and her friend Ian is fun. I absolutely love the sweet kitten Snowflake. I like how the author structures this story. There is the primary investigation, but there is an underlying story as well that brings with it danger to all of them. I like the twists and surprises that this book offers. There isn't much that I don't like about this book. I just wish that there was more humor since the cover calls this book a "humorous" mystery. I will admit that there are some humorous moments, but I would have just called this a fun mystery. I like that this story is thoroughly edited and proofread. The story is engaging from start to finish. I am rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I like the mystery of this story and how the author keeps me guessing on who committed the crime. I just wish that it had more humor since this was promised on the cover. I think that this is a well-done novel and I look forward to reading more from this author. I will be going back and starting from the beginning and reading these books in order. This book can be read as a standalone as stated, but I think one can benefit from reading the series from the beginning. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I received this as an ARC. I loved this book. The best one yet in the series. Finally Stone is back. I was getting tired of all the hints in the previous books of a Stone reappearance when it was not to be. But, in this book Stone is back and the chemistry between him and Tiffany is back. Tiffany and Ian have a new case which turns out to lead to a lot more than anyone would have thought at the beginning. The plot is well thought out and keeps you guessing. Very enjoyable to read. When Charlene, a cocktail waitress is killed, a potential suitor hires them to look into it. It involves more as they look into it and Stone is there on the periphery to help them. There are cupcakes of course and a cute kitten named Snowflake as well as her grandmother who can’t help herself from wanting in on the investigation of the murder. All in all, I really liked this book and now I can’t wait for the next in the series.
The Tiffany Black Mysteries are always hilarious and wonderful reads. I've completely fallen in love with them!
*Can be read as a standalone but definitely more enjoyable when read as a series.
I really enjoyed Lucky Charm in Las Vegas
It is honestly one of my favorites in the series thus far. I can't say #1 because I just can't choose between them! Lol They're all so good! This book has it all. Humor, suspense, amazing characters, wonderful plot & a little bit of romance!!
Lucky Charm is a cozy mystery so no gory details or gruesome bits. Don't let that fool you though, this is a definite page turner. It kept me interested to the very end. (Towards the end is when things start to get extra goooddd!!!) Love the added touch of romance as well! (Clean)
With plenty of twists and turns, fun characters, and a great plot this book is a fantastic cozy read.

This was my first Tiffany Black Mystery, and I am an absolute fan. So much so, I am going back to read all the others. Although this book would MAY have been (slightly) more enjoyable had I read the other books first, nothing took away from my sheer enjoyment of this book! It was so well written, the characters are fun and so LIKABLE, well developed, and all combined, make for a fabulous, fun book that keep you turning pages so you can just finish! So, understand, that it completely holds its own as a standalone! This book has the right combination of humor, mystery, action without compromising the likes and dislikes of readers of all genres (no sex, just nice clean fun)! No spoilers here, this card dealer/PI deals tons of entertainment in a super good read that delivers what you would expect with twists, surprises and just the right amount of uncertainty about the way the story is going to shape up. I always look forward to each & every Tiffany Black adventure. Casino dealer by night, PI by day, Tiffany, & her neighbor/sidekick Ian, are hired to find the killer of a cocktail waitress. Besides this investigation, Tiffany is also trying to help her CIA friend Stone clear his name. Unfortunately she has to tread lightly as her significant other happens to be the homicide detective assigned to the murder. Tiffany’s eighty year old lock picking Nana provides a bit of comic relief. I find that Winter’s books always have just that right blend of action, emotion, & edge. It will be very interesting to see how Tiffany’s love life plays out in future books.

I received an ARC from Booksprout and voluntarily agreed to read and review this book. Always a pleasure to read AR Winters books. Love Tiffany Black.
Andrew really thought he had a lucky charm when he met waitress Charlene. However it wasn't meant to be as Charlene turned up dead soon after he met her. Who killed her? Why? Tiffany and Ian intend to find out. Will it hinder their investigation when they discover Tiffany's boyfriend cop Ryan has been assigned the case?
Then we have Billy turning up as a wannabe private eye. She is so persistent she can help, will she become a nuisance?
Great to see Stone back on the scene. Altogether very enjoyable. Loved it.
I just love how the these stories just flow so well, I love Tiff and Ian and oh my Nanna can be a right little minx! Tiff and Ian are trying to work out who killed Andrews lucky charm while still helping Stone who is close to clearing his name. You always know when you are reading a good murder mystery as you can't work out who the murderer is and I could not guess who was behind Charlene's death until the end when Tiff and Ian find out!

This was a good read. Think I would have enjoyed it more if I had read the others in the series first. I followed along well but think I would have understood things better. There was some romance, drama, mystery, crazy characters and some yummy food. Reminds me of Evanovich's Stephanie Plum. All in all a nice book.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
My only issue with this series is the underlying tone of someone non-American trying to write about an American city. It just leads to odd phrasing and weird commentary. Decent story, glad the big arc is wrapping up, and that the background characters have been reduced some.
Tiff & Ian are investigating a death of a casino girl found in the desert. They are getting themselves into the same scrapes and there was too much detail in the cupcake, danish, dessert descriptions. Skimmed until Stone information and he was in the book. Finally a lot of stuff resolved with him. There's still the spark between him & Tiff even though she is still dating Ryan.
A cute story of murder, drama, danger, and suspense a well-written story that I enjoyed reading. I found myself guessing until the last couple of pages.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I absolutely love this series! I look forward to each installment. This one really had me holding my breath near the end! I loved it and can’t wait for the next adventure!
I really enjoy reading about Tiffany and Ian's Adventures.
And this book really helped build on Tiffany's relationships with Ryan and Stone. It also showed real character growth in Ian. I look forward to the next book.
This one was terrific. The ending was a total surprise. The characters are still fun filled and real especially Nana. Now whom will Tiffany choose? It will be fun to watch.
This was another fun and quick read in the series. The murder aspect was very similar to the previous book. However it's nice to finally see some resolution happening the story line following stone. Just another enjoyable read.
Liked Billie. No matter what Tiffany says or wants, Ian and Nanna gets her to do the opposite. Tiffany has a habit of being in the wrong spot at the right time and always gets the bad guy.
I loved this PI series. Quirky characters and lots of humor. Totally kept me reading to late hours. Will definitely be looking more of this author's work.
