A good book, really interesting, good pacing, great characters, and good plot. If I have any beef with this book is that it’s to isolated into the universe in which it stands, there are barely any mention of the `Demons´ which are quite the instrumental characters in the last series, nor is a mention of Allison even though she hinted she is deeply involved in assuring Riley survival. So although the book stand well on its own, it doesn’t mesh well with the expanded universe the author presented, I hope the second book can close that gap.

I really liked the premise. The actual execution was a bit freshman, some cliched dialogue and character tropes..but not so bad that I stopped. Again, the premise and the overall plot was pretty interesting, so I kept at it and would probably give the second book a try, hoping for some tighter, more fresh dialogue and character development.

Enjoyed the book

The author is very good at carracter development i think. Ther are som spots wher i think it is a bit strange but it is still a topp book and i recement his othher seris like the complicated life of an immortal.
