Once again, I find myself in a dangerous predicament.

Kidnapped by enemies of the Dark Legion, barbarians far more dangerous than my road warrior masters, escape remains out of reach. Even if I did get away, how would I survive, alone in the desert with Damien’s men still searching for me?

With the barbarian crew preparing to take me to a distant icy land I know nothing about, I can’t help but think of the masters I left behind—the road warrior pirates in leather cuts I shouldn’t want. I know I’ll never see them again. And even if they were to free me, what then? Would I want them as my masters?

Then at the last moment, I’m presented with something no slave has ever been given—a choice. A choice that could change my entire destiny and those of everyone around me or bring me headlong into a life I should never have trusted. I have a feeling everything is about to change, but will I survive long enough to see it?

***Sanctum is Book Two of the Saving Setora series, a dark, dystopian Reverse Harem romance with biker tones. There is no cheating, and the final book ends with an HEA for Setora and her four men. This full length novel contains triggering elements and four twisted heroes who know how to own a woman right.

The books in this series are not standalones, and should be read in order.

SERIOUS trigger warnings here folks. And apparently "forced affection" is a thing. You have been warned.

Fuuuuuuck me.

I think I have been brainwashed by this series. Because, holy hell, Sanctum (Book 2) has utterly gutted me. Twisted every emotion I ever had up into a Gordian Knot until I can't unravel a single one.

Review to come - if and I when I can unravel my brain and figure out which end is up again...

Actual review:

Interestingly, SANCTUM was everything STOLEN tried, and failed, to be. This is what the balance of dark and hope should have been. It started off with rocky, difficult, and very unbalanced relationships, but slowly morphed and grew over time into something much deeper and more intimate. If this sort of shift and progression had occurred after the initial scene between Setora, Steel and Pretty Boy, I probably would have ended up loving the series. (Unfortunately, that did not happen, as I think I mentioned in my review of STOLEN.)

However, due to my stubborn refusal to DNF this series for whatever reason, I persevered and ended up really enjoying SANCTUM. It has a heavy BDSM/power exchange/humiliation focus still, certainly. It remains quite dark. But now, I don't find it horrifying because Setora was finally giving a choice . And, honestly, that makes all the difference.

Don't get me wrong. These are still very flawed, screwed up, and slightly disturbed characters. There still are some very very difficult scenes of BDSM and power exchange that went to difficult places - including one scene that was about as bad as some of those in Book 1, maybe worse. However, this time... there was caring there. And most importantly, there was consent . Which cast absolutely everything in a different light for me. So... if you can make it through this, there is quite an engrossing and immersive story that comes out the other side. Though you still may, or may not, be able to forgive the men for their actions.

And what has me so messed up, what makes me feel like I've been brainwashed or am suffering Stockholm Syndrome, or something, is that my opinion about this series has altered so radically. Because, while I hated STOLEN, SANCTUM was fucking brilliant. Fucked up, crazy, broken, abusive characters and all. Actions that should be completely unforgivable that I am somehow feeling there is redemption for.

A visceral, compelling story and well worth the read if you like (or can at least get past) more than slightly "rapey" stories where the MC falls in love with their abuser(s).

After this read, I am a gutted, emotional mess of a puddle on the floor...

And now I think I just have to go quietly hate myself for a while...

Yep.

Dare I say even better than the first book!!!

I was wrecked, yet again. I was destroyed and impressed with Stolen, the first one, but the authors topped it off with Sanctum. The writing was flawless and was so delicious I just practically devoured the whole thing after an hour or two. And now I was left all steaming and shattered. I'd try my best to listen everything I observed and thought needed acknowledgement. Not necessarily in order...duh, messed up reader here. Bear with me people:

1. One of the things I wanted to know was why women and men feared and hated the Violets. I discovered this one by the end-ish; they weren't usually as kind-hearted and as warm as Setora. There was still very little to no info about what ultimately made these Pure Violets rare and be treated like trophy slaves. In short, the authors dangled that bit and like a dog with a bone (that is me), I salivated and obsessed all over that.

2. Stolen ending that way was such a great fuel to my fiery and vengeful thirst to make the heroes suffer. And I wanted them to work for it, for Setora's forgiveness. To redeem themselves fron such fragile egos. I'd like to say...they definitely decided to heed my advice to finally grow pairs, if you catch my drift. Two of them were very well on their way to the narrow road of redemption. Yes, I was talking about Steel and PB. The third was so-so...he just needed a life or death situation as a push. *coughs* sheriff *coughs* (gdi, of course. If he wasn't beating himself up, I'd prolly go beast-mode on him). The fourth...oh boy the fourth. I thought he was my favorite...maybe he still was. But jfc just man it up already. I understood his reasons for the distance but now wasn't really the time, Hawk. Yes, I was talking about him. He really needed to work the whole communication thing between him and Setora. Istg these men were going to give me white hair...just 21 you guys!

3. Setora. I wish I could wrap her in rainbows and fluffy clouds and love because those are what she deserved. Honestly, this woman kept me awake. I have been reading too much dark romance (yes, that's a thing) that sometimes I got mad when a character stood firm with her/his morals during a dystopian settings. I was usually like, "Just get on with it, dang it!“ So for a sec, during that public execution, I paused and considered Setora's thoughts and feelings. How could I condemn humanity and soft-heartedness when those things could very well just save this world-a world full of callous hearts and empty souls.

4. Case in point @ #3, examples of kindness ultimately wins against hatred, darkness and misery. Those female slaves in the Grotto; they became much more responsive and much less catty with Setora when she gifted them anonymously her fancy clothes. Another one was Sheriff-so stubborn, mean and hard-hearted, bull-headed...have I said stubborn?-he was blinded but eventually righted his wrongs with Setora.

5. This was def a dark read. Not necessarily in a dark romantic sense. It was more of how it wanted to tackle the darker sides of surviving life wherein people didn't usually talk or think about. I would be forever in awe of how the authors tactfully and beautifully addressed these things.

I am really curious as to what being a true violet really means. You get a few clues throughout this book but I still don't know. Let me just say Hawk who was my favorite of her men took a nosedive in this installment but thankfully lifted my spirits up at the end. Setora does embrace her new life much more fully in this installment which you can feel in her interactions with all four men. There are a lot of hot steamy scenes in this one which are more consensual than the first book. Setora is strong in her own way as much as a slave can be anyway. I am so curious to find out more about the Violets.....I recommend this book!

Setora and her violently beautiful world

Oh man, I am stunned! This book was such an incredible sequel to the first. I haven't even given myself anytime to process the events of this story. It's only fair since the characters in this brutal story must roll with the punches themselves. Initially, I was about fifty percent sold on the four, as the story progressed, another won my heart over, and finally, in the end, I can say with certainty these men are finally worthy of the bright light that is Setora. It's not even the deepening of her relationships with them, it's who she is as a person and how she connects deeply with every person she meets. Even those that have done Setora wrong are given forgiveness in the end. Her heart truly knows no bounds. The story pushed my boundaries and my comfort level, but I expected this and wanted to be challenged by this story. Each of the characters are forced to confront their demons and grow, so why shouldn't I? I was on an intense emotional ride throughout the story. I wanted to look away during the violent scenes, I cringed and gasped along with Setora. I also wished to be in her place during the more wickedly sensual scenes, and I cried along with her when she felt most helpless. There are still so many unanswered questions, like, what is a Violet, truly? This book teases, but ultimately deepens the mystery. And the ending? Aaah! I can't say but you need to read this story!!! All I can say is Setora is one of the strongest, bravest, and truly empathetic characters. I wanted to know who would be the true master in this story, and this book answered it beautifully for me. It's Setora, of course it is, it's been her all along. I don't know how I will survive without her, but I know I will be running, not walking to the next book the moment I am able! Ladies! You knocked this one out of the park!!!

Oh my god. The pain in this book. Her pain. Their pain....

I actually cried LOL

I honestly have to keep saying it, I don't know what book other people were reading when they gave this series a bad review of any sort.

There is so much beyond the whole pleasure slave. There is the hidden pain of each of the characters. There's a history, something to learn. And all the while we're learning more about her. And cherry. And the other women that are part of this series.

I just think that people have to stop with their knee-jerk reactions when they read a book about slaves. You have to take into consideration everything around them. The whole context of the story. Don't just focus on the fact that there's a sex slave. I mean come on now you've read the book, lol, does it really look like she's complaining? She's not happy, but she accepts it.

I stick by what I said before, I would recommend this to all of my friends. I haven't actually been online, at the computer recently, but as soon as I am I will post it to my social media.

Also, I'm going to work on a couple videos for tiktok. I am going to pull up a bunch of photos that I think would make good matches for each of the guys, and each of the ladies.

I already have Hawk chosen. I don't know what his last name is, well I know what it is I just can't pronounce it, so I won't be able to use Google voice to text for it LOL but one of the tyler's, AKA derek, from teen Wolf would make a perfect hawk.

If you follow my tiktok then you'll be able to see the video shortly.

Holy Violets, what a gripping book. Sanctum starts off from the POV of Steel (one of Setora’s men/masters), picking up right where book one left us. The men are on the way to rescue Setora from her kidnappers, and this first chapter is a great insight into their guilt and desperation. Except for the epilogue, the rest of the book is from Setora’s POV.

Sanctum gives us a deeper understanding of the world where women are slaves and men are savages. We also get to know more about everyone’s pasts; Setora’s childhood, the men’s demons, and hints at Cherry’s background and the reason behind her scars. We also see a softer side to the men - yep, they’re not just unfeeling savages. Stolen didn’t really explain the importance of Violets and True Violets or, even, what they are; and Sanctum doesn’t really either but the authors are certainly building on their importance and leaving us hints as to what being a True Violet actually means - they’ve got showing and not telling down as a fine art.

Dark and Knox have written a darkly passionate book that, just like the first, has a killer storyline. This book comes with a trigger warning but I found it less confronting than the first book. Also, it ends in a cliffhanger but it’s one we know the heroine will overcome. I’m fully invested in the story and the characters and cannot wait to read the next book. Highly recommend for those that don’t mind a walk on the darker side of romance.

Ends on a cliffhanger.
At least that's what I'm calling it because of the sadness I felt when the epilogue ended.

Told mostly from Setora's POV but we do see two chapters from the guys POV.
One from Steel and the other from Sheriff.

Loved that we got to see a softer side to the guys.
They are still rough, gritty bad mamajammas.
But those shields are coming down, showing us they do in fact have a softer side that's hard to get to.
Yet they want to access it and give Setora what they believe she deserves.

Can't wait to see what being a True Violet really means.
We found out a little more in this book, so it will be interesting to know what information they gather.

I saw some foreshadowing/past coming into play with Cherry.
I have a theory about who she might be, and I'm anxious to know how that will play out.

I think we will see a big twist in the storyline in the future.
With everything revealed in this book, I just see it being unavoidable.

This is a dark reverse harem romance.
I definitely think a trigger warning should be attached to this book.
Nothing too terribly bad, but still might be a good idea.

I highly recommend this series.
It is amazing and sucks you in.
At least it did with me.

Another great book in the series. I love it when the second book is even better than the first one. It’s how it should be.

Without giving too much away I will say the cliffhanger is one where you know it’s going to be alright and there is still so much to discover about the Violets. Don’t be put off by how harsh the guys were in the first one. Setora makes them her bitch in this one by just being herself.

A strong story arc meant it didn’t feel like a filler that focuses too much on character development. I’ve read series that keep their MCs in one place to focus on that for the second book and it feels like a pause, or filler till the third instalment.

With this book, we get to travel. There is more about the world outside the Grotto and we meet some very interesting characters.

I am really am excited about the next book and I can’t wait to see if my guess about the violets origins are correct 🤨🤓

Just when I thought this series couldn’t get any better. Raven Dark and Petra Knox release sanctum 🧡 I love the four (even tho at times they can be complete bone heads) but OMG can we give it up for Vol Ivek 👏👏👏 It was great to see Setora interact with different violets. Even tho Grizzels violet needed a slap to the face. I can just picture Cherry being the one to give it, but more likely her hit would come with a closed fist. I’m not complaining 😁 Talking about Cherry... what is up with her and T-man and her reaction to Setora and the story of her rescuing that girl? The book ended on somewhat of a cliffhanger, but with the way this is written it leaves you craving more yet satisfied with what you just just devoured. So many questions left unanswered, but I will eagerly awaiting book 3. Great second book in the series. Seriously enjoying the darker rh theme.

Outstanding Continuation..
Raven Dark & Petra Knox deliver an amazing second book to what is shaping up to be an awesome series! Sanctum builds beautifully on Stolen and delves deeper, helping the reader understand how things truly are in this dystopian world.

There are times that I wish I could reach into the book and strangle two of "The Four" but the slap of reality incorporated as part of the cliffhanger will bring everyone in line (how could it not?). There are aspects of Setora's character that rub me the wrong way but looking at it from a holistic point of view, I understand why her character is the way it is and where some of it stems from.

Be warned, this book is dark and gritty - not for the faint of heart - if you cannot handle that then this book is not for you! Don't blame the authors or write bad reviews because you didn't take this seriously. I on the other hand loved it and cannot wait until book 3 comes out!

This book was so good, everything I hoped for. They brought the characters alive after the ending you will know the names of everyone like their real. Setora is special they haven't yet figured out what her purpose is yet,but add to that the powerful love building between her men, yes remember, this is also a reverse harem story but so much more. Steel,Hawk,Pretty Boy and my favorite Sheriff. The beginning left off where she was kidnapped so she has to be found and brought back , when they bring her back she has to face Sheriff, who dosnt like or trust her and you wouldn't believe what happened to Setora, which you will have to read because I'm not telling. Excellent story.

This series just keeps getting better. Nit as much action in this book as there was in the first, but their is betrayal and attempted murder, which keeps exciting and interesting. Not to mention the sexs scene which keeps the book steamy and add in the emotions and wow the book just grabs you by the short and curlies. This book ends quite abruptly but not as much apof a cliffhanger as book one thank goodness. Loved it and can't wait for book 3. Highly recommend this series. But again a warning. If you are not into dark and gritty stories, do yourself and the authors a favour and skip it instead of reading and leaving a bad review.

If book one was good, book 2 is mind blowing! Incredibly well written, this book begins to tie together clues from book one that you didn't even know were clues! So many times I was left incredulous as a nugget of information turned up that ties together the overarcing storyline. Still super steamy and sexy, we definitely get more into the characters of the men and Setora, and it leaves you aching for more, in the best way. At the conclusion of the novel, I was crying and clapping at the same time. No small feat!! I can't wait for the next piece of the puzzle!

3,5* ish

This one was better than the first one, i got intrigued what a true violet is. And i liked that we got to know more bout Sheriff & Hawk even tho if they where annoying bastards.

And let's say that this series is not for everyone, trigger warning. I thought that some stuff was over the top and unneccesary but overall it was Interesting AF

But Holy hell the ending leaves us with a big chliffhanger so i am diving into the next one right after i just finished this book

Gimme more!

I have always loved stories with a little bit of darkness and a lot of bite so this series really pulled me in. All I will say is this book is a whole lot of naughty but also has an engaging storyline so it's not all about the seriously sexy times. I 💝 it and will be impatiently waiting for book 3.👌

Strange roller coaster

This book isn’t nearly as dark as the first but there’s still a lot of themes in it that are disturbing. You really do want to hate the way you feel but the end nearly brought me to tears. What a world that was crafted.

Excellent read

Setora knows her place now but not with Hawk and the general. This book left me speechless. There is a fine line between slave and lover and this books shows it perfectly.

Hmmm

This book starts up right where the previous one left off and it kept coming with the hits.
The men are no less depraved but they are a little nicer to Setora.
The plot is thickening and the world building is keeping up.

Yes! I love this series so much.

Supernaturalesque. Dark. Rh. 4 Alpha MCs. Carring, innocent, slave heroine. I love dark romance stories and this being a Rh just makes it even better. This book picks up where the last left. Setora being taken by the savages. This book's focus is mostly on their relationship with a little bit of action (and it's very eventful action). So looking forward to the next one.

Still, haven't recovered!
I NEED the next book NOW, you evil geniuses!!
No, it's okay I'll wait here in my corner, going slowly mad wondering what Satora or a True Violet truly is, and why that devil of a woman wanted to kill you know who ( no one likes spoilers, guys - Read the book - you'll thank me later )
No worries.
I'll wait.
Hope you ladies are happy with the effect you're having on my sanity, but it's cool.
No biggie.

Spoilers ahead with a little bit of rant along with a review.

First chapter in and I was already annoyed with this book. You have no idea whose POV you’re ready from until SEVERAL paragraphs in.
It makes a huge difference on what you’re reading and how you interpret it depending on whose mind you’re inside of. Ugh.
Strike one.

Although I loved having Steal’s POV, I wish it would have let us know whose POV we were reading from. I also wish we got more POVs throughout the book. Not just the first chapter and the epilogue.

I’m also super annoyed that she had an amazing offer from a powerful man, that she found attractive, that also saved her, and she chose four POS that didn’t care about her at all over pretty much freedom.
It doesn’t make any sense.

I get it that our “heroes” are dark, twisted, and supposed to be rough as hell, but Sheriff is just an extra dose of disgusting, and I’m starting to really dislike Setora. Her inner monologue is so repetitive and contradicting, it’s making me insane. One second she’s terrified of him, the next, in the same damn sentence, she wants him so bad, she can’t stand it.
It’s gross. She’s being severely mistreated, degraded, humiliated, and reminded that she’s a worthless slave by Sheriff at every encounter, yet she doesn’t actually fear him, but wants him? How unrealistic.
I don’t so much care that our dark “heroes” are treating her like that because that’s just how it is these days, but I do care that she can’t make up her mind on how she feels.

I’m also super annoyed that Sheriff just randomly does a 180. He goes from humiliating her once again, forcing her to walk through the entire grotto naked, so suddenly his eyes are “softening” for her and he’s explaining things without being mocking. What the actual hell? None of this makes any sense.

The typos are aggravating as all hell too.

Her little evening with Hawk in the mountain was ruined by her inner monologue. One minute she was complaining about being humiliated and hurt and cut to deep by what he was doing, but at the same time she was moaning and in the following sentence she wanted more and enjoyed it. Literally doesn’t make sense. Also ruins any sort of chance at ever liking Setora as a person. She’s too all over the place.

The ending was bomb af though. The last chapter and the epilogue were intense.
I also like that the epilogue had a little indicator that we were getting Sheriff’s POV. Instead of being confused as hell.

Although Hawk’s reaction was stupid. He made his choice, but now that she’s hurt, he suddenly gives a crap about her? Please.
I’m sure she’s going to be stupidly pathetic and just take it all with a grain of salt too.

I am obsessed with this series!

I love the works of both these authors, and now they've both put their genius brains together to build us a deliciously dark world with fireworks that just keep coming!

Another awesome thing was the production time in between each book is really fast, and that makes it easier on the wait for book 3!

Setora is my kinda girl, and in Sanctum we see her character arc really flourish. Again, the character relationships and interactions are so well paced, they didn't make me roll my eyes at the stereotypical way so many series give me.

This second book in the series gave some interesting and unexpected turns of events, and has a couple of situations that have me guessing on where it's going, which I also love!

The pace and flow of the book is nicely done, giving us time to really get stuck into Setora's world!

Be warned, this is a DARK romance series, and has some pretty intense scenes. But, holy mother they're beautiful!

And that ending! I need more, like yesterday! I cannot wait for book 3, so if you love biker clubs, fierce characters, and a harem of sinful yumminess, then check this series out!
You'll be in for an explosive ride!

The follow up to Stolen isn't nearly as dark as my black little heart wanted it to be. I enjoyed the RH element of the book, and seeing Setora's relationships with her friends and men develop. But, the book fell flat for me somewhere along the way.

I didn't take "points" or stars or whatever off for the book not being that dark. It just didn't flow very well from the first one, there's not a good connection between scenes. I don't know. I found myself skimming large chunks because I was bored, and yet I still wanted to know what would happen.

Sanctum: Saving Setora (Book Two) (Dark Dystopian Reverse Harem MC Romance)
Marvelous, incredible and awesome are some of the words I can use to describe the second installment in the Saving Setora series. I was eagerly awaiting this book and I was not disappointment. The story picked up where book 1 left off. There is so much I want to say but can’t in fear I will give some important points away.
I’ll have to admit I was excited and eager to see what happens to Setora since the events that happened at the end of book 1 were fixed in the first chapters. We continue to navigate through this unique world there are several twists that you don’t see coming. This series is a cross between Mad Maxx and Hunger Games with a twist (all women are slaves). There seems to be steady action with danger around every corner.
As we continue this journey we are treated to a deeper look in to Dark Legion’s world. Once the issue from book 1 is resolved we learn how the club handles discipline, visitors, daily interactions and entertainment. There are many rules meant to keep the club and its stronghold safe above all else. Will they be safe. Our four alpha males (Hawk, Sheriff, Steel and Pretty Boy) surprised this reader with their behavior. Haha that is all I’m going to say.
I’m enthusiastically reading along and before I realized it I was at the end. ARGH!!!!!!! No that can’t be the end……I NEED MORE! Like book 1 we are left hanging so to speak with what is going to happen next. Book 2 does end in a good place but CRAP I wanted there to be more to see what happens. There are many surprises in this installment and they flow seamlessly as you navigate the page. We get more of a glimpse into Hawk and Sheriff while they carry out club business.
If you fell in love with book 1 then book 2 is a must, but I will warn you………wanting more is something you should expect. I am greedily awaiting the next installment. This is a MUST READ SERIES.

Sanctum follows straight on from where Stolen left off an what a rollercoaster of a ride we end up on. This book answered some of the questions from book 1 but threw in a load more unanswered questions.. we find out more about the sexy four..Steel and Pb I still can’t put my finger on why I can’t gel with them even though we get to see more sides of them and the way Hawk and Sheriff go on made me on one hand scream and shout at them and on the other they made me fall more in love with them. I love Setora she is really coming into her own now and finding out who she really is and I do feel that each of the sexy four bring something different out in her. The twists and turns are literally round every corner and the whole story had me hanging off the edge of my seat. There is so much much going on that the storyline levels out with the sexy times. I’m still intrigued about Cherry and we find out a whole lot more about her and I think there is so much more to find out. Wow just wow what an ending. The turn of events brings Hawk and Sheriff out of whatever was holding them back and it gave them the kick up the backside and had them finally admitting what we as readers knew all along but at what cost. It ends on a massive cliffhanger one that had me shouting No!!!!!!!! And ringing my book bestie up as she was reading it too. This series is mint and I absolutely love it and it’s by far one of the best series I have read this year. Roll on book 3!!!!
