Stephanie Witter, in her twenties, lives in France where she comes up with book ideas on her laptop, notebook or phone. When she's not writing the day away, she likes visiting museums or shopping to add another nail polish to her already huge collection. She's also unable to resist the appeal of new books, even when she knows she can't possibly have the time to read yet another one. She's happy to have a to-read pile so high she can never put a dent into it even if she tries her best.

I’ve been sold on the idea that this book was something lighter, the kind of story that reminds you the good old days, something refreshing and putting you in a good mood.
Stephanie Witter...tsk, tsk you were just playing with words my dear author friend. Of course, it was lighthearted but definitely something more. I haven’t anticipated I would feel more than the freaking butterflies from the first moment I laid eyes on Brock and Adeline.
From the first pages, I’ve been moved, experiencing a range of emotions, almost facepalming myself about Adeline’s crazy idea… for a strong woman who seemed in control I haven’t predicted that kind of behavior up to « jeeezzz do it already you fools », then swoony moments that warmed my heart.
The author had more on her sleeve and Brock and Adeline drove me at times so insane because I’ve been totally built up around this too steamy hot vibes they’ve been sharing. It goes without saying that I read it in one sitting.
I guess I liked it a lot in the first place because it was about two best friends and yes the cover was insanely cute but once I started reading it, they just won me over.
As best friends for as long as they could remember, their friendship was never questioned, but when hearts got in the way, how separate the physical to the emotional? Blurring and crossing the line to the unexpected. And I loved it.
It was apparent the chemistry was off the charts and I appreciated how the main characters were always honest to each other even when it did hurt. They felt deeply and even in the tense moments, it survived any rough or stormy patch, not without tons of arguing. That wasn’t something forced or fake, it was the opposite. They made me smile so many times I lost count, their dynamic was pretty great, brigining just this tension to that level, of no turning back, when you knew for sure about the consequences.
On A Crazy Idea was indeed a story with a lighthearted side but not sparing the intense and powerful emotional side, that made my heart beat so fast. I could feel how the author had fun writing it, the perfect story to read between heavier books.
Since I’ve become a big fan of Stephanie Witter’s rock romance books I knew I had to try her “friends to lovers” book as well. Let’s just say that there isn’t anything Ms. Witter writes that I don’t love evidently!
Brock and Addy have been best friends since they were six years old and over the years that friendship grew into something so special that we could only hope that we were lucky enough in our lives to find something close to that. Addy is one year away from taking over her family’s business and she is tough as nails when it comes to her job. Brock is the company’s CFO and has never left his best friend’s side both at work and away from work.
Addy and Brock have both had relationships with others over the years with Brock always looking out to protect Addy from guys and Addy hating the women Brock has been with. This isn’t out of the ordinary for best friends, right?! What happens when Addy tells Brock that she wants to have a baby and is hoping he will be her wingman for the night she is out looking for that baby daddy?
Be prepared to get the sweetness of this story along with some pretty steamy moments that put their best friend status to the brink of no return.
I received this book as an ARC for a freely given and honest review.
On a Crazy Idea.....perfect friends to lovers....with a twist.
I loved the dynamic of Brock and Addy’s relationship. Friends to lovers has been one of my favorite troupes and Ms. Witter did a fantastic job of developing the tension between Brock and Addy. If you love this troupe, one click now!!!
As this was my first read by the author, I am looking forward to reading more!!!
This one was hard to rate. I went back and forth with myself and finally settled on 4 stars.
Adeline is about to become CEO of her father's company. She is tough and works hard. She knows she has to in order to prove herself in the business world. Brock is her best friend and the CFO of the same company. They have been best friends since diapers and have such an amazing bond. When Adeline decides she wants a baby, Brock steps in to help. Will having a physical relationship and possibly a baby together ruin that bond?
I felt like the story took a while to get to the point where you could feel the romantic connection. The writing was excellent, but the chemistry between the characters was lacking at the beginning. After a few secrets are revealed, I felt myself totally enthralled. The last half of the book had it all...love, friendship, hot scenes, and off the charts chemistry.
The book is told from Adeline's POV which leaves the reader in the dark about Brock's emotions and thoughts on all of the situations.
Overall, this book was a wonderful read. Stephanie writes wonderful characters that enable the readers to relate and fall in love with them.
I'm still very curious about Mr. Zann. I feel like there is more to his story that needs to be told, and I cannot wait to see if Stephanie writes his book.

Title: On A Crazy Idea Author: Stephanie Witter Rating: ❤❤❤❤❤+ Reviewed by Courtney Kunz
“Then, Addy, I’ll be your best friend by day and your lover by night."
This stand alone novel pulled at my heart strings and unraveled it. I was absolutely smitten by this all encompassing tale of love, lust and friendship. Take a bow Stephanie Witter, On A Crazy Idea far surpassed my wildest expectations and left me yearning for it to never end.
Brock has never been one to shy away from sex. Women practically fall at his feet. When his best friends biological clock starts ticking Brock swoops in to offer his services. Problem is his heart is on the line and he is ready to commit ...but is she?
Addeline wants a baby the old fashioned way, just not the complication of a baby daddy. When her best friend steps up to the plate she is hesitant to say the least. So what if he is gorgeous, their sexual escapades are epic and he says all the right things. Will their new arrangement alter their BF dynamic indefinitely?
This was a really cute friends to lovers read. I was drawn in by the plan for the heroine Addy to get pregnant because I’m a sucker for those books and was a little sad that that was really the main plot of the story, but I really enjoyed watching the friendly banter, the pull that these characters had for each other and the sex. It all added up to a really beautiful romance. There’s not a lot that I can say about the story with out giving spoilers. That’s the hardest thing about reviewing a really straight forward story. So, if you love friends to lover reads, then make sure to add this to your TBR or just dive in and read it. It was sweet, light drama, and a beautiful love story. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Such a wild adventure when love and friendship are involved! And to top it off, you have a very strong female character that is trying to make herself known in the world of business. This book is a great read and tugs at the heart strings.
I'm so happy to release this cute friends to lovers story. :) Writing this book was heartwarming and the perfect break I needed. I hope you'll feel the same.
This cute story is a good fit if you're looking for a read that's on the short side, sweet and with just enough spice to be entertaining. :P
On A Crazy Idea is to read between heavier books. x
Adeline had her life going the way she wanted except a baby. Brock who was her hot best friend wasn't going to just let her get any old Tom, Dick or Harry give her one. He definitely wanted to step up to the plate to help Addy get what she wanted but he had stipulations.
What happens when one has feelings for the other but the other doesn't? Will it ruin their future as friends or give them so much more?
I love friends to lovers stories and Stephanie does a fantastic job of making me fall in love with both of these characters and rooting for them to get their HEA.
This is one freakin friends to lovers book i have ever read! I'm 100% a sucker for such plot in fact i search for them lol. Anyway, good writing except for some lapse in editing whoever proofread this didnt do a good job, grammar issue but no biggie not a writer just want to point that out in the future. Overall i giggled, laugh, cried and felt so happy that Addy and Brock ended up together and had the happy ever after! Love, love, love! Thanks Stephanie, more of this please hehehe.
This book is totally different from the other books that I've read by this author. Mostly light-hearted, but still with its intense moments, this story brings out an emotional side in me. This is a friends to lovers story and was a really fun read.
Adeline is a tough, no nonsense, strong woman. She has taken on an impossible task, taking over her father's company, and is rocking it like a boss. But underneath it all, she is still a woman, and wants what most women want: a family of her own! When she brings up her crazy plan to her best friend, Brock, he comes up with his own crazy counter-plan, and then, things really get out of hand!
I enjoyed this story, as it was a fun spin on a well loved trope. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts, but they underneath, they still had that best friends vibe that made their relationship so amazing. This is definitely a must read!
Addy and Brock have been best friends for over two decades and have always shared everything with each other. At twenty-seven, Addy already has the career and now she wants a baby and it doesn’t really matter who the dad is, she just wants one. Brock is determined not to let her hook up with some random guy and steps up to the plate to help. Shocked at his offer, Addy at first is reluctant, but then a kiss happens and from there one thing leads to another.
Ms. Witter does a fantastic job at building things up between these two best friends. The tension, the feelings, and definitely the heat, because these two are combustible together. Not to mention two very nosy mothers who are all up in their business. Addy is definitely a strong woman and Brock is just the man to handle her (and boy does he wink wink) This story is captivating and I just couldn’t put it down.
Well, Adeline certainly does have a crazy idea and it’s such a realistic one too. Every day some women think about what she does.
As always, Stephanie Witter takes you on an epic rollercoaster ride of dramas, betrayals, CRAZY ideas and love. This author’s writing style gets better and better with each book she writes and this one is exceptional. You actually feel like you’re in the story with these characters. I felt like a fly on the walls!
I enjoyed Brock. Typical handsome boy next door, intelligent and a body to rock it. He’s a great character because he shows his emotions quite openly and I dig that in a guy!
Adeline was a little hit and miss with me but I did enjoy reading her story.
Amazingly talented, this author always seems to write up new ideas that will leave you wanting more from her.
Adeline and Brock have been friends all their life. Now working together in Adelines Family company. When Adeline announces "she Wants Baby" things start to change. I loved this couple, and i loved Brock, it was obvious to me from the beginning that his emotions and feelings went a lot deeper for Addy than he portrayed, and never made a move as he had be put in the "friend" Zone a long time ago. I don't know how she resisted him, he was that handsome, sexy, fun boy next door !!! Although at times i wants to shake Addy !! She did perturb me a bit, but when an author can do that and stil leave you wanting more, for me thats good !!! It felt realistic and the characters were easy to like. Steamy oh yes !!! I was definitely getting hot under the collar!! I wasn't sure what to expect from this book as this is the first book i've read by this author, but i'm definitely looking forward to more !!!
The book blurb gives a good outline of the story. It begins with Adeline's crazy idea to get herself knocked up by some stranger which she confides to her BFF Brock, who is completely horrified. So he offers to father her baby himself. Reluctant to complicate their relationship like that, she initially refuses but finally accepts his offer. Soon it's all about the amazing sex, baby forgotten. Can their relationship survive this best friends with benefits situation they have found themselves in? Will Addy ever realize that maybe there's more than friendship between them?
I liked the characters even though I wanted to give that girl a good shake a couple of times. This emotional story has it's ups and downs but overall is very good and I loved the epilogue. I always enjoy Stephanie Witter's books and this book is another satisfying read.
I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
What a fun, flirty and deliciously hot little story by Stephanie Witter.
Adeline Cox and Brock Lowe are the epitome of BFF’s. Not every girl gets to have a gorgeous hot guy as her best friend with no weirdness or sexual innuendo but that is until Addy’s biological clock starts ticking louder. Her random guy hook up just won’t cut it for Brock so he offers his ‘services’.
So you can see just how awkward this scenario might get..... not giving away spoilers so I suggest that this book hit your kindle quick smart..... as I said, fun, flirty and deliciously sexy.
I was hooked right from the start. Addy is a strong woman that has been focused on her career for years, she has had her best friend Brock by her side. Addy has this crazy idea to have a one night stand to get pregnant causing Brock to become very protective and offer up himself. Addy doesn’t want to accept but Brock quickly shows her how easy it could be. Great friends to lovers book.
What an amazing book by an amazing author she never fails to amaze me with her books. A friends to lovers story with a twist. I got the feels from this book and I cried at parts and smiles most of The way through. I just loved addy and brock. X
What a sweet read! Addy & Brock have been bestfriends forever! Never stepping over that line till Addy decides she wants a baby, Brock takes matters into his own hands! The chemistry was hot between the two of them, there was some emotional push and pull at times! Awesome ending!
This is the first book I have read by this author, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But wow, I love this story. The characters, Brock and Addy were great together. A beautiful friends to lovers book! I can’t wait to read more from this author in the future. *Magic Beyond The Covers Book Blog*
ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!! YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!! I loved it so much!!!! I've read some of Stephanie's in the past and when this came up for an ARC I was like YES PLEASE!! I love her writing style, the heart she puts into each book, and each character, and yes, even some funny moments. I loved the story of Broke and Addy and how they've been friends since they were little. I also enjoyed how both of their mothers secretly wished they'd end up together so they could plan their wedding! LOL!!! When I started reading this book, I thought, here we go, another strong CEO woman, and she's gonna be cold and shut out and that's how I'd feel with this character. But TOTAL opposite happened. She's not as cold in her real life, outside the boardroom, or the office. Quite the opposite really! Which I thought was great!!! Let's talk about BROCK!! OMG!! He's so chill, and is like, this is who I am, this is how I feel, take it or leave it! He doesn't put with Addy's bullshit, and her going back and forth and changing her mind like she changes her underwear. I loved the the was strong enough for himself too! There were so many great quotes throughout the book!! I loved how it all flowed, and I didn't find myself flipping pages to just get through it either. WHAT AN EPILOGUE!!! I don't wanna spoilt it for others, but WOW!! Def must read this book!! YOU MUST!! *Sorry for all the caps, but I LOVED IT SO MUCH!*
Some of my fave quotes from the book: When Brock talks about having sex with Addy for the first time - "I'll stop you here because I don't want to know what you're thinking about me having sex. It's too disturbing Brock." - Little does she know, this is only the beginning. Brock smirks agains my mouth, and I downright laugh at my show of feet-ablibty. - I died laughing at that, and though about how Addy would have been giggling to herself about her new made up word. "There are two women I value their words. You and my mother. Always." *Cue swooning! LOVED IT! "Who knew a charity would cockblock me." Brock cracked me up throughout the whole story! When Addy has the truth thrown at her, and Zann comes into play - "Let him up. Apparently, it's a shitty day so at least if I can cram everybody at once today, the week can only improve." Laughed so hard. She's had a shitty day and Zann showing up only made it worse!
To end this (which I don't really wanna do cause I loved the book so much), I LOVE THE EPILOGUE!! I LOVE THE VIEW STEPHANIE TAKES ON IT!! Not gonna tell ya what it is, but you'll love it too!!! Read it to find out!
Friends to lovers. Addy is one year away from taking over her family’s business. Brock is the company’s CFO and has never left his best friend’s side both at work and away from work. I loved the dynamic of Brock and Addy’s relationship. The book is told from Adeline's POV which leaves the reader in the dark about Brock's emotions and thoughts on all of the situations. Loved the epilogue and to see where their story went.
