Billy and Mini Monsters is a fantastic early elementary series. It is written in a graphic-heavy style that is perfect for reluctant readers in grades 1st-3rd. It also makes a wonderful read-a-loud for kindergarteners and preschools. (My 5-year-old LOVE this series!)

This book occurs later in the series, as Billy's family has just moved. Most of the other books do not have any context like this and can be read in any order. Billy is at a new school and is very nervous about it. He feels invisible. His monster friends want to help cheer him up and hitch a ride on a school field trip to the museum. There they get into lots of trouble! While Billy tries to rescue his monster friends and keep the teacher from discovering them, he makes friends with his classmates. The monsters help Billy break the ice and not feel so invisible at his new school.

Billy and his mini monsters are again on another adventure! This time, they’re headed to the museum on Billy’s class trip!

The monsters hear that there are Mommies (Mummies) at the museum, and they want to find their mommies! As usual, the monsters cause trouble in the process, and Billy begins his quest to find them. In the meantime, The monsters help Billy make friends!

This is a cute book, and I can’t wait to get more in this series!!

Billy goes on a class trip to the Museum. He sees all kinds of exhibits but he needs to find the monsters as he goes as they have gone off adventuring on their own.

Miss 7 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

This story is a sweet way of using imaginary friends or "mini monster" tools to help a student gain confidence. This book series help students through difficult new things or even changes. This one in particular talk about a field trip and could be used as an introduction to the expectations of a class if they were to travel. This would also be a great book or even series for early readers.

So cute!! Great for my new 2nd grader. And my preschooler “reads” them a ton too after big brother reads them aloud to us. I LOVE that it incorporates a lot of styles of reading, especially including some comic strip style. And the illustrations are perfect for this age group. Super fun books!! We giggle the whole way through every one now.

My favorite billy and the mini monsters to date. Same silly and gross humor but with added facts from the museum. So cute!
