We all worry. This write-in book is an unworry toolkit, full of things to calm you down and places to put your worries. Activities include creating a worry box, making a mood grid and mindfulness activities such as colouring, doodling and mazes. Written with the help of a psychologist, there are links to websites for tips, advice and support too.
Alice James joined Usborne in 2015, after several years of working in primary schools. She absolutely loves science, and over the years has lived with chimps, spent a month in the rainforest, studied Biology at Oxford University, and grown 200 carnivorous plants (not necessarily in that order). Whilst at Usborne Alice has worked on books on all kinds of science topics, from space to energy to the periodic table.
I love this book!! It was written for older kids, but as an adult with anxiety I have found it to be very helpful in creatively addressing my worries. Some are a bit simplistic, as it's written for a younger age group, but the graphic designer in me LOVES all of the visually beautiful, creative, and light-hearted ways of addressing the emotions and thoughts at play. I keep going back to this book, and bought a second copy to do some of the ideas over again when I fill up my current copy.
