Not gonna lie I’m kinda mad this series is over lol. I could have read many more books with Kara and her boys. But this was an amazing finale! I laughed, cried, swooned, and loved every minute of it! I can’t wait to read what A.K. writes next I’m sure it’ll be just as awesome!

That title made me want to know about that "sacrifice" so I picked up the finale book in this series. I didn't really care about the plot, the battle, etc except to see if they'd survive. Also, I wanted to finish a series and go to the end. I'm happy about that.

I really liked this final installment in The Hopeless series. It was fast paced, constantly had my attention, and gave me everything I want in a finale.
I love the relationship between Zara and her men. Each of them provide something different to the relationship and each of the boys is exactly what Zara needs in their own ways. I like the dynamic between them and how they just fit together. Their relationship is not normal, but it works and they don't question it.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book and this series. This series has definitely sold me on A.K. Koonce's books and I hope to read more from her in the future.

Great ending

Argh I can barely see I'm crying so much. But what a brilliant ending. I loved this series so much and Kara is definitely the heroine of my dreams. Thanks for making such a BAMF character xox

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

The fourth and final book in the Hopeless series. OMG what an incredible finale we get for this series. Things have been coming to a head in the last three books and of course now they have to explode. I so did not see all the twists coming leaving lots of surprises in their wake. My mind was truly blown as it lived up to my expectations. If you loved the first three then you so have to read this one and if haven't read any of them then why not? In case you can't tell I totally fell in love with this book so it gets 5/5 stars and I am really hoping that we get some more books set in this world even if there is different characters.

I LOVED this series, it has become one of my all time favourites and I’m so sad to see it go 😢

I LOVED Kara from the start she was stubborn and fierce and also her beautifully, scarred, caring men.

They travel into the Relm of the Gods. They struggle and make impossible choices. Throughout the book you are on edge from the ominous ending of the last book to Ryder’s vision and a sacrifice being guaranteed.

These beauties characters have been surviving though the pain, never catching a break and they face problem after problem through their journey.

Though I may be sad about this series coming to a end, but I enjoyed and cherished every moment right till the end.

You should NOT miss out on reading this series, it’ll make you laugh, cry, swoon, fall in love with the characters and love every minute of it. I am looking forward to reading A.K new series, I sure it’ll be just as good.

Super short books in this series.
This book I found the most frustrating. It just seemed to drag on and on, and then boom there’s a fight and it’s all over.
One think that I found quite annoying and it’s probably just me, but when the characters names are all so similar, like the 3 men, I’m forever pausing to think which one is which. Is it really that hard to give them such different names.

Hopelessly in Love, so sad to see it end...

I was terrified to begin reading the final book in this series. It grabbed me hard and hasn't let me go. I fell in love with all the characters, especially Kara's stubborn, loyal and feisty men. Remembering the reveal at the end of the last book, and the ominous potential future, I couldn't stand the thought I would have to read the final pages of these characters that won me completely over. They struggled every step of the way, this story was not easy for any of them, and not for me, the reader, desperately wanting their happiness and health. They've traveled realms, been touched by Gods, and experienced a truly thrilling adventure, but at what cost? What would be the sacrifice to prevail against evil? A.K. kept us guessing right up until the very end, kept me pacing and biting my nails until the final chapter closed. I read fast and slow all at once just so I could linger a little longer in Kara's realms. I loved traveling this journey with Kara, Darrio, Dax, and Ryder. Their adventure was epic! Realms, magic and gods, oh my!!! A.K. kept me guessing until the final chapter, I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, so fearful of what was to come. These scarred and beautiful characters were forced to survive and thrive where many had failed. They were given a herculean task, and rose to meet it, like all challenges before. We get to meet faces from the past and end up full circle with our crew, once more. Though the series is "Hopeless", Kara and her men continue to fight for a world of hope. And it may be hopeless for me, but I wish for an encore glimpse into their lives, one last peak into their world. A.K. does not disappoint, she breaks your heart while putting it back together again, a true gift. I will miss diving into adventures with this crew, but I don't regret the journey to the end. The worst thing you could do is never tale the chance and read this series, it's worth the pain and the uncertainty. As the title suggests, there is a sacrifice, but I've decided the true sacrifice was my heart. I've given it to our hopeless crew, and have no plans to take it back! Read this series! You'll fall hopelessly in love too!!!

Almost perfect

This was an almost perfect story. It resolved everything. We had a little action. We even got a Rio POV epilogue, which was nice. My only issue was the weird sex at 70%. And I say that not in the way you might think. A little sex talk ahead, so be warned. If you are going to have three guys in your bed at the same time, you expect at least a little back door action, but not this girl. She equated that to two of the guys having sex with each other. Um, nope the reason her two guys wouldn't do that is because they like girls, not guys. So should I give up oral if I wouldn't like it with the sex I'm not attracted to? I don't think so. But even with that I could say, okay, your choice, but her other complaint is they were too big and she would never be the same. So okay, again, until she had two in the front at the same time. Ummm, sorry, now THAT would seriously ruin a girl. Much more so than one in each! And again, I wouldn't have an issue with that. I'm open minded. Much more so than either the character or the author. But awful excuses that make no sense really bother me. If back door action bothers you that much then don't write multiple bed partners in the same bed at the same time!

This series is one of the best RH series that I have read. It just gets better and better with each book and I wish I could give more than 5 stars!! This is the final instalment in this series and it is great to see Kara really becoming who she is, believing in herself and the guys. They are so do much better with each other then they are apart!! I starting reading this book and inhaled it in one sitting...it was impossible to put down as it was so captivating! Of course the favourite is still Darrio and I just love seeing the softer side to him in this book and he finally gets the epilogue and I think that the best was kept for last!! Of course Ryder and Dax are bloody marvellous too! This is a highly recommended book be a fantastically talented author. The book is full of action, intrigue, emotion, love and tragedy! Everyone should one click buy the immediately!! This is definitely a series I will read over and over again.

It really doesn't get any better then this. This is the final installment in a fantastic series and A.K. Koonce has your heart racing and your body on the edge of your seat until the final words. Zara and her three gorgeous fae men, Darrio, Dax and Ryder face the final battle, the ultimate challenge to defeat Tristan and to save the mortal realm. But it's not such a straightforward journey. Along the way, they meet a couple of gods that steal the show for a short period. Loki, the maniacal twister, and Baldur, the soft but gruff teddy bear are my favorite by far!!! Watch out for the tests they have in store for the group!
The rapport, banter, and pure sexiness between Zara and her men is riveting, vivid and beautifully portrayed. The characters continue to grow individually, as a family unit, and as the head of an army. This book leaves nothing out.

A completed Masterpiece!

Book: Hopeless Sacrifice
By: Ashley Koonce

Oh my goodness I have to say this was the best book of the entire series. Reading as Kara comes to terms with loss, love, unexpected realizations, and learn to overcome Self Doubt and many other emotions in this book. Kara is one of the toughest female characters I have read in a long time. She along with her three men are so well created in the series that you get lost in their world. I really hated to see this series end but and very pleased with the way this author ended it, she brought the entire storyline to a good close and did not leave any questions open. This book is definitely going to be a reread in my near future along with the entire series. author A. K Koonce has truly written a masterpiece. This book gets 5 stars but the series would get 10.

This was a decent novel to the series. I was able to predict how most of it would go down, and some things were a surprise to me. Kara, Ryder, Darrio and Daxdyn's relationship was great. I think that's the part that I loved the most, honestly. The war and all of their parties were okay, along with new side characters that were introduced. Kara definitely was the one character that changed so much from the first novel, for the good mind you.

I'm glad I got a chance to read this novel and I may look for this author at Penned Con 2020 if she comes again :)

This whole series made me feel some type of way for sure. I was here for it and felt all the things. I even felt myself cheering for specific things to happen. (no spoilers from me)

I think everything was wrapped up a bit quickly and I could have used some more conflict, but all in all I zoomed through this whole series. Wanting to know what was going to happen next and how everything was going to play out.

If you do not like more than one partner, this isn't for you - but super strong female lead with great men behind her!

Loved.

I was really excited to see how things would turn out with the battle with Tristan. This story was good but a bit predictable. The battle with Tristan finally happened and I thought there would be a little more to it. The sex scenes were longer than the battle so it was a bit disappointing after all of the build-up. Sacrifices had to be made and although Zakara suffered a loss she also gained a second chance. The ending was sweet with the epilogue of the family. Over all, this was a good series and I would give other books from this author a try.

This series was phenomenal, and I was sad to see it end. However, I think this book really provided a satisfying ending to the series.
The characters were complex, and I enjoyed watching them mature and develop throughout the series. I felt like Kara really came into her own in the end.
There was a good mix of action and romance, and I enjoyed the tie-in of the gods within this book.
Fantastic series, and I look forward to seeing more from this author.

Magic and More!

Kara is no longer human. Is she fare or more? Dax, Rio, and Ryder all agree to stand with her for the final showdown. We get reacquainted with old characters and it makes us love them more. I can't believe who died!!!! It broke my heart!!! I was bawling! I am glad that since this is the final book in the series that the author have us some finality with the char and showed us how much they love each other, even with death thrown in the mix!

*Sigh*

Have you ever reached the end of a really good book, and you had to sit there a minute to collect yourself, and through it all you just release a quiet sigh? It's not angry or disappointing, but content like it was fulfilling in some way. That is where I am, at this moment, after completing this series.

I feel like the struggle was much more drawn out, and the villain's defeat was a bit anticlimactic, but I LOVE the end. Beautifully executed, Ashley.

Disappointing ending. There was, once again, too much monologue going on and not enough actual explanation. I'm honestly not sure what powers the MC had by the end.

I also never really figured out how to like the MC. She didn't really seem to have any likeable qualities.

So much happened in this book that wasn't really even necessary to the plot.

This really should have all been one book.

Wonderful conclusion of the Hopeless series

The ending of this series was in line with the previous books. The plot flows effortlessly. In a lot of PNR books authors have the tendency to go overboard with plot twists, creating multiple villains, dragging out certain moments. This series is straightforward and fastpaced, just the way I like it! I tend to stop reading when it gets long-winded, I hate tedious plots. But I finished this series in 2 days flat.

To Hopeless endings..

A happily hopeless ending to an amazing series. I love these characters, especially Kara’s sassy, no BS personality. With gods and the impending war with the Eminence finally happening, Kara and her men have a lot to deal with. An exciting and interesting finish!

A fitting end

The last book in The Hopeless series did not disappoint, like the previous books in the series with its snarky kick a** heroine and her three Fae partners the last book was full of heart pounding moments and nail bitting scenes. I loved this series and was so sad to see it end but A.K. Koonce gave it a H.E.A ending it deserved.

1.5 stars for the whole series. The books felt rushed and because the storyline was rushed I was very confused at the beginning of the series. Little to no world building occurred and convenient plot lines/characters magically show up to move the story along. I would skip this series if I were you.

Satisfied

I wasn't sure this series was going to be able to keep up the intense anticipation of the previous books in it’s series. I was wrong. The culmination of everything Kara was born to and wishes to be with her Fae men in one terrific ending. Sexy, erotic and humorous in a lively wrap up that left me smiling.

I loved this, it was the perfect ending to a great series! I have to admit, if AK Koonce could ever be persuaded to do little 'updates' on the Hopeless Fae I would be very keen to see that ;) *hint hint*

I loved the characters, I loved the twists and turns, I think I have a new insta 1-click author for my list!

Great ending

I was unsure about how this was going to end several times. I love the different ways she got Tristen during the final battle, it was awesome. The series makes for a quick interesting read. Lots of sexy times in the last two books. Kara finally stops lying all the time, mostly, and she puts others ahead of her needs. Final book with an HEA.
