Warning: This is a reverse harem fantasy/paranormal romance that features one strong woman and her three hot Dragon princes. It contains battles, steamy scenes, raw language, magic, swordfights, dark fae, dragon shifters, vampires, and otherworldly nightmares of creatures. And at last, true loves, with a happy ever after at the end of series.
Meg Xuemei X is a USA Today and Amazon Charts bestselling author of paranormal and fantasy romance. She loves writing badass heroines and hot psycho alphaholes.
That main character was a wishy washy blind woman. She's told what would happen if she denied her fourth mate, who let's face it is 10x the man of all those whiny dragons put together! I'm not normally for bringing in a fourth outsider, but in this instance I was screaming for her to stop living in denial land and do what was right instead of caving to her overbearing, constant complaining and controlling children mates. Blaze has no personality except as a huge bully. And she let him do it time and again. She deserves what she got. Lord Elvey is way too good for her in every way. She knew the vamp blood wouldn't work long, she forced him into both the goddess and the queens arms by burying her head in the sand despite warnings galore. And we all know what it's going to take to get rid of the masks, but again they are all in denial. What really ticked me off though was the ending. Suddenly these selfish little boys are okay with everything. After its too late of course. When it comes to her three dragon mates, she is really a weak no backbone pushover and I just have no respect for the character. She acts more like a 17 year old than a 900 year old. If you are going to make a character ancient, please give them some wisdom to make it halfway believable!
Now the reason I gave it 4 stars is because it’s Meg and even if she gets a character wrong, she still writes a really good story. Action and intrigue fill her books. This was no exception. I just didn’t like most of the characters. I guess that says a lot about her writing that I can still really enjoy her books that have main characters I don’t like!
Overall Rating ★★★★ Plot ★★★★ Humor ★★★★ Characters & Character Development ★★★ Narration ★★★★★
Characters: Daisy; Dragon Princes: Rai, Blaze, and Iokul; Fae: Elvey
Story: This was a good second book of this series. I'm glad that Daisy and her guys found out so much more information in this book. I was frustrated on Daisy's behalf with the guys bickering all the time and trying to control every situation and everything that Daisy did. I'm glad that Elvey return in this story but I'm sad that he keeps disappearing as well. If he was destined to be her mate, why keep disappearing and why not be more honest about things. I'm glad that Daisy discovered her power. I couldn't believe how much of a b*tch the goddess was. She's not someone that I'd want to look up to and I wonder what she'll do next.
Narration: Melissa Schwairy - Absolutely love her.
Meg has delivered, again! I know these books are labeled fantasy romance, and the romance is SUPER-HOT, but it is the story line that keeps me hooked. We are no longer on Pandemonium so we get to discover a whole new world. I love discovering new worlds with Meg! Her detail and the way she unfurls the world before your eyes is enchanting. Even if that world is full of danger, broken, and desolate, it is still beautiful. The amount of emotion, and the way the emotions change from almost minute to minute, will keep you on the edge of you seat with your heart in your throat. The sexy scenes are beautifully written and will warm you up. There are phrases that made me laugh with their blend of modern/casual and proper speech. And the blend of magic and industry was perfect.
There is a lot of excitement in this one. We also learn more about Daisy's past, who her enemies are, and what future battles await her. There is a sense of not knowing who to trust. Even her men are dealing with issues that could tear them all apart. What more could poor Daisy have to face! This book ends in a cliffhanger, but the pause is at the perfect time so I don't feel like I have been left hanging.
I encourage anyone who hasn't read one of Meg's books to remedy that horrible tragedy immediately. Her writing style is brilliant, her world building is breathtaking, and her characters are ones you will fall in love with over and over again.
The STORY, in and of itself, was an interesting story, though it was written poorly. The dialogue was infantile, the character development was MIA, it read like the Cliff's Notes version, the grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure we're atrocious, and the sex scenes and dialogue might as well have come from a 13 year old boys' imagination. There was no romance and no depth and NO variation. It was basically the same scene copied and pasted, over and over. I, basically, rewrote the entire book AS I read it, just to get through it. I'm one of those people that has to see a story through to the end once I've started it and it bit me in the butt, this time.
This second book in the series starts with a lot of heat and brings plenty of action too.
They have to take on a deadly enemy and have to work together to take back the realm. It answers the questions that I have had about how she ended up on that miserable planet.
I enjoy watching them become closer. The brothers have adjustments to make as they learn to share a mate. The scene where they contact their parents is so funny.
There is still a lot to learn and I look forward to the next book.
This is the second book. It picks up right from the last book. This book was better than the first one. I wish Daisy got to fight more. Personally, I like strong heroine's that save themselves. She says she can but when she gets into a fight she'll do one or two things and that's about it. One of her mates will take the brunt of the work or she'll get hurt.....I want her to be the badass I know she can be!
The men are improving too!
I will be reading the next book!! Elvey's my favorite tbh.
AWESOME, FANTASTIC, AMAZING, SO INTENSE!! HOT AND SEXY,YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PUT IT DOWN!! MEG HAS ANOTHER HIT ON HER HANDS!! I can't wait to see what happens next. Will Queen Daisy be able to put the Dark Fay Queen Down, and take back her home at the Fay Realm? Or Will the Dark Fay Queen take her Mate and return her Curse to her!! I can't wait to find out!!
It was nice to finally get to the bottom of who really wanted Daisy dead and who went above and beyond in their loyalty to her. The way Elvey could antagonize Blaze was hilarious because he fell for it every time. I really enjoyed how deep Daisy and Elvey's connection really went. I can't wait for the final showdown.
'I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily reviewed it.'
Again I like the story and how Daisy fights the evil witch, finds out more of the truth about her origins and her curse. Did skip some of the sex scene s , as I just wanna know where the story is going. But get some readers like that. Otherwise good story line.
Awesome incredible continuation to the first book! Loved the story, characters, and the sexy overwhelming sex! Can’t wait for book 3 for the fae mate to come on board! Thanks for the exciting adventure ❤️❤️
We continue straight on from the first book and learn a little more about the characters and their past.... On to the next book now to find out more about my favourite character Elvey
1.5-ish- a lot of grammatical and spelling errors on the Kindle Edition. Still a fun, quick read and enjoyed the series as a whole. Each one was more enjoyable. 😀
this story was good and the last 30% was impossible to put down, but a lot of parts were slow I felt like. I adore Elvey and I really hope his chains are broken soon
Love love love this! Can't wait to get into the next one! So glad daisy's other mates have realized the need elvey also! Can't wait to see them all together and daisy ruling the two realms!

Audio book review Book 2 in the series. This one is eye catching and ear catching as the first one. You will not want to take your ear plugs off till the end . You find out what Daisy and her mates have to face . There are a lot of action, mystery , and wonder . Lots of $ex in this one. What do you expect with 3 hot mates . There might be a fourth. Even though Daisy is 900 years old she needs her mates she feels it. You also learn who her true enemies are . You will love it . Yes it does end in a cliffhanger. Which will get you ready for the next one .
Melissa performance was great . Her tone for the characters, the action was great . Her voice is strong, smooth and clear
