...look how well I did raising a child. It’s amazing what the internet and text books can teach you. They make it almost too easy for people like me. They give us the tools we need to stay under the radar. To fit in among the lesser mortals.

Well....so....hmm.. errr.... let's see...
This is not a taboo romance. This is not a dark romance. This is different from the previous books.
This is a trip inside the mind of a psychopath and as a result we can see the outcomes of the psychopaths's actions.

The end has a kind of end-for-now feeling.
The "Four Sons" series will follow and I wonder who will be these four sons. There was a nice selection of chidren in the "Four Fathers" series actually.

Overall I liked the book, but I did not like the series in total. Some books were less good than the others. But you need to read all the three previous books to appreciate in full the details in "Wheeler" and to understand in depth the shocking factor that this book causes.

Yes, Jax Wheeler will definitely surprise you!

Genre: Dark Suspense
Type: Standalone Book 4 of 4 from Four Feathers serie
POV: First Person - Male
Rating:

Jaxson (Jax) Wheeler had a penchant for beautiful things. When he saw something he wanted, he had to own it no matter what. Besides his obsession, his only other love was his daughter Rowan. But she turned into a woman in a blink of an eye and he must protect her from the wolves while pursuing his own desires.

Jax was not a good man and I love him for it. He was a monster in plain sight, patient yet unapologetic in pursuing his passion. Being in his head was quite exciting. I also like how much he cared for Rowan even though there were moments it seemed a little bit on the creepy side lol!

It’s amazing what the internet and text books can teach you. They make it almost too easy for people like me. They give us the tools we need to stay under the radar. To fit in among the lesser mortals.

I like the storyline and the dynamic between the main characters in the series. There were some dark scenes that deliciously fed my depraved soul. However the story didn't seem complete enough for me. There were things I wanted to know that I'm not sure is covered by previous book or not since I haven't read any other book.

The one thing that made me human is being stolen from me— my only grasp on normalcy, the one thing keeping me tethered to sanity is fading from my view.

Wheeler is a story of obsession and dark perversion. It would appeal to readers looking for a short dark suspense.

Note:
Even though the blurb says each standalone books can be read in any order, author's note says it should be read in order to avoid spoilers. I haven't read any other books so I'm not sure how big the spoilers might be in the context of respective books.

Now that I have finished the four books in this kind of mini- series, I can maybe explain my opinions about it more but in doing so I need to be careful of spoilers!

First of all, each book states that they are stand alone... this is quite true for the first 3 books; but once you get to “Wheeler” you are going to want the details and history of the other 3 books!

Second; this story is not a romance... Ker Dukey’s stories are often dark and usually you need to expect the unexpected!!! This is definitely true for this instalment!! We are given a front seat to the inner mind of a physcopath...and believe me Jax is definitely an evil soul. The only ounce of normalcy he has is when it comes to his daughter, Rowan. Even that though is creepy at times!!!

There are warnings in this story about triggers for some people.... please listen to them... there are more than a few disturbing scenes and it’s not for some readers.

I personally devoured this instalment! I love Ker Dukey’s work, and I was absolutely on edge when I was reading this!!! I had so many questions going through my head, it was awesome! Did I like the outcome? Not really... but the overall book kept me in suspense so I did enjoy that aspect!!!

I have to say that when I started these four books, I expected something totally different than what I got. I had thought I was getting some light erotica stories! Honestly though, especially with the last two books, this series is on the darker side. The first two books are more tame; but even then our heroes are jerks! There is nothing light or flowery about these stories! I still enjoyed it, some more than others! Now I have got to get ready for the next series: the Four Sons!!!! I can’t wait!

not to be dramatic, but this was the most disturbing book i've ever read and i only read 10% of it

i'm really torn here. i don't believe in shaming women for their preferences in romance: some people LOVE dark romances or age gaps or chick lit "fall into his arms" type shit. and that's great. whatever jazzes your jollies.

but i just sincerely wonder what some female authors are thinking when they write their male leads. there's douchey and then there's completely DEPRAVED. i understand that, again, men vary in personality. but romance is supposed to be a FANTASY, an escape, your most IDEAL man realized. and this entire series in my opinion, has none of those redeeming factors.

sorry if this spoils it for you but the main character rapes women after he injects them with paralyzing drugs and then murders them. and this is a ROMANCE/EROTICA. i am not squeamish, i like weird. but this is a hard no for me. you can't get me to be attracted to a man who has murdered and raped countless women with no remorse. i don't believe in bashing authors but what the hell was she thinking...

just. no.

Jax Wheeler is a successful entrepreneur with depraved tastes and predatory practices that feed his soul. Not one to be a people person, he manages to put on a believable persona in order to blend when needed. Protective of his teen daughter, she is the motivation that keeps his mask in place until it all irrevocably changes.

“I hate this part of pretending to be like them. Normal. I am not like them. And I sure as hell am not normal.”

Obsessive, exacting and sarcastic, Jax lives in the shadows of darkness and immorality. While his behavior crosses many boundaries, the fact he is a dedicated father adds dimension and humanity to his complex character.

“Control is something I seek and want, and everyone can be controlled if you really want to dissect their psyche and find the trigger inside them.”

From the first page, I liked Jax with his neurotic and abnormal tendencies. Though his actions are monstrous at times, his perspective of not fitting in is completely relatable. There were so many times when I laughed out loud at his inner monologue and when he finally loses his controlled exterior, well, I was completely addicted.

“She cut out my hollow heart and destroyed it ….”

In this novella, the pace is quick yet it certainly delivers an impact that was quite welcome at the end. [insert evil grin] As such, I definitely want to read more bout Jax and a particular younger character that peaked my interest in future books.

Wheeler is a dark suspense steeped in unabashed depravity. For those looking for a thrilling ride in the mind of a charming yet dangerous man, look no further.

SPOILER ALERT DE TODA LA SERIE

Ker Dukey

This series is four short books, four fathers or Daddies, and true to their genre, the authors embossed their typical style on each book.
Ker has always been known to halve a dark undertone and her sinister mood has shone brightly in Jax Wheeler, the creepy neighbour of Eric Pearson.

Her daughter, if you remember is in love with Eric and is pregnant by him. Jax, surprisingly isn't interested in younger than young nubile virgins like Eric is and detests the Four Fathers-Levi, Eric, Trevor and Mateo and their posse of fake women
Grow old gracefully or die young, but freezing your youth in time forever is simply pathetic.I’m all for looking at a beautiful woman, but teens who barely have fluff on their cunts do nothing for me, and men who prey on them make my blood heat.

But he has dark stalker fetishes , clearly suited for the nether webs he growls. The only tethering him to decency and normalcy is her beloved daughter Rowan. Seeing her with Eric snaps that tether with a whiplash and he's a monster unleashed.
Father.
Friend.
Businessman.
I’m now just Wheeler.
Father.
Friend.
Businessman.

Killer.

The story is no doubt ominous and leaves on a loose thread. Not withstanding that it's a complete standalone book, it sets the stage for next instalment by there's four authors Four Sons.
Highly anticipated and eagerly awaited
It had some very abrupt happenings and many things unexplained , so appeared choppy at times.

Okay, so it says that this could be read as a standalone BUT I found it actually pretty connected with the previous book Pearson by K Webster in the Four Fathers series

So, I agree to disagree with the statement, since the subject of this story is linked with the subjects in the previously mentioned book

As much as I disliked Pearson, I actually appreciated Wheeler, it was truly dark, sickly captivating following the actions of the true and absolute psychopath!

Wheeler by Ker Dukey is the fourth and the last book in the Four Fathers series. The books can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading them in order because they interconnect. Especially don't read book four before the other three books, it will spoil everything for you. I thought I knew what I will get myself in, but clearly, I wasn't. I was expecting something different...a different story for Jax, his own story with a girl, but in many ways, Jax really had a different story.

Jax Wheeler is an obsessive freak guy with a very dark side... intense, possessive, and mysterious but he loves his daughter Rowan. You will hate this guy, I can't say, hero, because he's not a one. I hated him, still, do...I don't know what to say about the book, without not saying anything important about the plot or storyline...but I will try.

Image result for it's hard but i'm trying gif

His story starts from the beginning, 6 years ago, when Jax with his daughter Rowan (12 years old) moves next door to the Pearson family. Eric Pearson and Jax Wheeler hated each other instantly. But for Rowan happiness, Jax kept the appearance. One day, Julie, Eric's wife and the mother of his four boys leave. But before she leaves on her way, she stops next door, at Jax.

Six years had past and Rowan has grown into a beautiful woman. The Pearson's boys are not immune to her beauty. They are like "cockroaches" on Jax property. Jax still hates the Pearson boys but being busy with his dark side, he is leaving Rowan to spend more and more time with the Pearson boys. Only to discovery, at some point, that Rowan is actually engaged with Eric Pearson. Now he is out for revenge...His dark side is out.

Image result for sexy angry man gif

I hated Jax because you can't love him. There's nothing to love about him.  I "hated" the story, because I wanted some special sweet love story for him, to find his happiness. I hated the ending because it can't end that way, I need more, I need to know what happens next...and yes, for all these feelings and many others more I am giving it 4.5 stars...Because in the end, it was a great book with a great story...

And most of all, I hate that I love it! 😜

I highly recommend this series! 💓

This series started off as semi normal and then took a curve on the wtf this is so not normal 🤣🤣🤣
I can’t talk about Wheeler without spoiling it for others so I just sit back and clap my hands because he so did what I was looking forward to (old crone laugh). I mean he’s a psycho but if you like the genre you will totally enjoy this.
Now I’m off imaging how that cliffhanger is going to pan out. Yes I want more blood but only for those who deserve it of course 🤣

3* STARS!

I dare you. This book is dedicated for psycho! Jax Wheeler is an outsider. He moves with his only daughter years ago. A neighbor to cocky and arrogant Eric Pearson. Jax own a paramedical business and a good father figure. However, he hates socialize and it is only a facade behind the monster.

The author already warn us nicely. This is not a romance. There's no romantic feelings involved. Purely dark and depraved world of Jax Wheeler. The story has the same timeline as the Pearson book. What you never know about Rowan's father and now his secret revealed for us.

I feel so wrong to read this book. Jax is a psychopath. He's clearly mentioned his intention for the victims. He's really the most fucked up person but surprisingly a good father. Sadly, his figure didn't last long for Rowan because she's also fucked up. Oh man, how I love the twist but damnnn, the cliffhanger in the end. I just hope she's out of the picture.

Omg omg my mind is still reeling and is a jumbled mess after reading Wheeler!
I’m trying to come down off the high this rollercoaster of a ride this book put me through!
Jaxon Wheeler is a protective father,a successful businessman and that just barely scratches the surface to the rest of him.
He has so many layers and depth to him.
He’s intense,gripping and mysterious.
To say Jax is a complex intriguing character is an understatement.
Not saying one word about the plot or storyline.
Except that it’s unexpected,it’s stunning and had me speechless and all over the place!
It’s gripping,it’s riveting and had me spellbound!
Ms. Dukey did an exceptionally job!
The writing is fantastic and everything comes together perfectly!
The Four Fathers is one of THE BEST series I’ve had the pleasure of reading!
These four amazing very very talented ladies, J.D. Holyfield,Dani Reni,K. Webster and Ker Dukey, did a PHENOMENAL writing this series and putting it all together!
Everything about Four Fathers was spectacular!
I highly highly recommend reading this series.
I’d say one thing though to fully appreciate and get the best experience of these books I suggest that they are all read and in the order they were written to get the full benefits and the thrill of the ride of this outstanding series.

My mind feels like it has been ripped right out of me... I fucking loved every minute of it.

Handsome, mysterious, charming, successful, protective... but has a dark side, with a big dose of obsessive and possessive that'll have you quaking
If you cant handle the suffocating pressure of pitch lack dark, dont read this. If you're a daredevil who loves to dance with the demons then dive right on down the rabbit hole like I did.

A slow and meticulous build-up that even behind Wheeler's eyes lulls you into a false sense of security, while also looking over your shoulder wondering what him and Ker Dukey have up their sleeve. I was not disappointed, my eyes went wide, my heart started racing and the adrenaline began to flow at high speed when the story kicked into high gear.

Wheeler is the craziest fucker in this series and he hides it so well under his calm and civil demeanor, a fit body and charming looks. A monster in plain sight. I wasnt sure whether to be terrified or allured. (I may just a touch screwed up but I roll with it hehe)

So many different plot hooks and twists going on that I couldnt tell my arse from my head but it all worked so beautifully, and linked together to create a masterpiece of insanity like only Ker Dukey can create. He is without a doubt on my list top 10 favourite literary psychopaths, I couldnt get enough of his story.

Salivating to read more and I wish it wasn't the end. A bone-chilling finale to the Four Fathers series!

Wheeler (Four Fathers #4)
By: Ker Dukey
4 Injection Stars

Well my goodness, Jax Wheeler is quite the dark father of this series! Here we were lead to believe by his daughter that her poor daddy was lonely. What we find out in this book, is that for years, Jax has been a very bad man!!

Stemming back from his very first victim, the mother of his lovely daughter, Jax has one that he can’t get out of his head. Lucy…she is unlike any of the others.

Lucy will take some planning and a fair amount of time to make her all his. He has planned this day over and over…The time has come to take Lucy and make his dreams come true.

One thing he didn’t count on though…..

Mind Blown! What a story and what a series! I’ve read all the Four Fathers and I’m just speechless when it comes to book 4 and Jax Wheeler’s story. I know that you’re able to read these out of order but I suggest reading them in order to fully appreciate each men’s story ESPECIALLY Wheeler, this man HAS TO be the final one you read. I couldn’t put my kindle down, I was captivated from the very first lines. I would of never seen Jax the way he revealed himself to us here and I loved every second. It’s exciting seeing the stories intertwine yet stand on their own. The puzzle slowly comes together and you appreciate the piece as a whole when it’s completed. Bravo to each author and the idea to write this series. I can’t decide which Four Father I love more, they each have something that you’re aching to have. You need to read all four books, there’s no way you’ll want to miss out on anything. Unbelievable and highly recommend series. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Four Fathers Series by bestselling authors: J.D. Hollyfield, Dani René, K. Webster and Ker Dukey

Four genres. Four bestselling authors. Four different stories.

One intense, sexy, thrilling ride from beginning to end!

These books were designed so you can read them out of order. However, they all interconnect and would be best enjoyed by reading them all!
1 – Blackstone by J.D. Hollyfield
2 – Kingston by Dani
3 – Pearson by K Webster
4 – Wheeler by Ker Dukey

So Wheeler.... i was not expecting it to play out like that!! Shocked is not a strong enough word for what i'm left feeling after reading this book!!!

We may have meet him in Pearson but we barely scratch the surface of the dark man that is Jax Wheeler. We know he's a protective Father to Rowan. But there is so much more to this bone chilling man!! He has so many layers shrouded in a deep darkness. He’s mysterious, intense, gripping,
to say Jax is a complex intriguing character is a complete understatement.

There will be no spoilers in this review as its the final book. With so much happening, Ker Dukey has given us a spectacular edge of seat finale to the Four Fathers series!

I'm hoping that we will get a full length book from this series. There is definitely so much that could come from just this book!!

I am a huge fan/stalker of Ker’s and I knew there had to be a reason she was writing book four but even knowing that my mind was completely blow away by this story.

Please please read all the previous books in order as this one not inky contains spoilers for the other books but you’ll get to know the other characters.

Jax Wheeler has been a dark mysterious presence in the preceding books, he’s always watching always judging others. A protective single father to a teenage girl. a man distrustful of the boys living next door where his baby girl is concerned.

At times my heart was racing, if this was a film I’d be watching behind a cushion screaming RUN !! Only know I’ve read them all can I appreciate what a phenomenal job they’ve done at writing four individual stories that tie together seamlessly

What in the everlasting haystacks did I just read??!!!! Wheeler??!!! Who are you? What is life? Who are you?

Ok listen up readers. Wheeler is friggin crazy! I dunno what happened to this guy in his former life, but psychopath is too nice of a word for him! I can firmly and say with confidence that this story is not for the faint of heart. Don’t even read the first page if you’re not accustomed to Dukey’s craziness!

And that ending??!!! Everything!!! Knocked me straight on my hind parts with absolutely no way to get up! I’m distraught. I’m flummoxed. I’m Ker-a-tized! Total victim to Ker’s darkness!

Read at your own risk! Five stars!

Wow! What did I just read?! I’m a total, emotional mess right now. After reading the first three books in the series, I anxiously waited for the fourth. And it surely didn’t disappoint! The story of Jax Wheeler is unreal. You meet Jax in Pearson, and this book tells his story. He definitely is a troubled character, but loves his daughter Rowan. This is my first read by this author, and I am truly amazed at her words, they mesmerized me! I was on the edge of my seat thru this entire book. I highly recommend this series and this book! Unreal!
