It’s amazing what the internet and text books can teach you. They make it almost too easy for people like me. They give us the tools we need to stay under the radar. To fit in among the lesser mortals.
The one thing that made me human is being stolen from me— my only grasp on normalcy, the one thing keeping me tethered to sanity is fading from my view.

“I hate this part of pretending to be like them. Normal. I am not like them. And I sure as hell am not normal.”
“Control is something I seek and want, and everyone can be controlled if you really want to dissect their psyche and find the trigger inside them.”
“She cut out my hollow heart and destroyed it ….”

★4.5 Stars★
Wheeler by Ker Dukey is the fourth and the last book in the Four Fathers series. The books can be read as a standalone, but I suggest reading them in order because they interconnect. Especially don't read book four before the other three books, it will spoil everything for you. I thought I knew what I will get myself in, but clearly, I wasn't. I was expecting something different...a different story for Jax, his own story with a girl, but in many ways, Jax really had a different story.
Jax Wheeler is an obsessive freak guy with a very dark side... intense, possessive, and mysterious but he loves his daughter Rowan. You will hate this guy, I can't say, hero, because he's not a one. I hated him, still, do...I don't know what to say about the book, without not saying anything important about the plot or storyline...but I will try.

His story starts from the beginning, 6 years ago, when Jax with his daughter Rowan (12 years old) moves next door to the Pearson family. Eric Pearson and Jax Wheeler hated each other instantly. But for Rowan happiness, Jax kept the appearance. One day, Julie, Eric's wife and the mother of his four boys leave. But before she leaves on her way, she stops next door, at Jax.
Six years had past and Rowan has grown into a beautiful woman. The Pearson's boys are not immune to her beauty. They are like "cockroaches" on Jax property. Jax still hates the Pearson boys but being busy with his dark side, he is leaving Rowan to spend more and more time with the Pearson boys. Only to discovery, at some point, that Rowan is actually engaged with Eric Pearson. Now he is out for revenge...His dark side is out.

I hated Jax because you can't love him. There's nothing to love about him. I "hated" the story, because I wanted some special sweet love story for him, to find his happiness. I hated the ending because it can't end that way, I need more, I need to know what happens next...and yes, for all these feelings and many others more I am giving it 4.5 stars...Because in the end, it was a great book with a great story...And most of all, I hate that I love it! 😜
I highly recommend this series! 💓
