What a fantastic way to explain and share their knowledge on marketing/sales to new businesses or startups. A comfortable and enjoyable book to read for everyone.

This is not a "how to do ___" kind of book, nor is it an in-depth read at ~130 pages, despite there being lots of practical advice. It's more along the lines of a Seth Godin book: very readable, very inspiring, and you feel good after finishing it, and ready to conquer your marketing program. I have read more Godin books than any other author, so that's no slight.

If you're a fan of Intercom's philosophy or want to motivate some of your team to think differently about your marketing program: excellent read. This is a book I would share with teammates and it took me about 2 hours to read, even stopping and thinking and jotting down some notes. I think it can serve as one of the components that unites your team around common language and ideas. There's tremendous value there.

I wouldn't read it as a way to "Market Like Intercom", since that would be a poor strategy for most. It's tempting since they nail their marketing. But, I will say that there are some gems in here for SaaS companies that are good things to try and I think you can get a ton of useful information from watching Des Traynor's talks about Product Strategy. Specifically, Jobs To Be Done (JTBD) and talking to customers are my favorites.

Definitely a good read and probably somewhere between 3 and 4 stars, for me, since I'm almost a decade into my marketing career.

Great advice from Intercom people on marketing, launches, etc.
There are oriented to quite large startup where you already got people doing marketing or having time to do so, but nothing prevents you to grab the ideas and apply then even if you are a very small company.

A nice read that will challenge your preconceptions about marketing, make you forget gimmicky tactics and focus on things that drive long-term results.

Listened to the audio version. Honestly, found it to be quite shallow -- will probably be useful who someone who has no to very limited understanding of marketing digital/tech products.

Pretty basic stuff but good for someone at an earlier stage of their career in marketing or starting a startup without a marketing background.

This is a short and wonderful book for anyone who’s in SaaS marketing and wants to know the different marketing functions within each. It’s at the basic level and can be used as a refresher too.
