Could President Ronald Reagan’s influence reach into the former “evil empire”? The media refers to a businessman on the rise as “Russia’s Reagan.” Unfortunately, others seek a return to the old ways, longing for Russia’s former “greatness.” The dispute becomes deadly. Conflict stretches from the Reagan Presidential Library in California to the White House to a Russian Orthodox monastery to the Kremlin. Stephen Grant, pastor at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church on Long Island, a former Navy SEAL and onetime CIA operative, stands at the center of the tumult. He is strengthened by his faith, wife, friends, and former CIA colleagues, and is armed with a Glock and Holy Scripture. Grant is the kind of guy that Reagan would have appreciated.
In addition, Keating has surrounded Grant with interesting characters that also pull you in to the story!
Voting for Reagan was one of my proudest moments and this book took me down memory lane recalling those 8 years of glory!
Unfortunately Phil and Jessica are Vikings fans and Chase is a Lions fan..so on a personal level I would want them to succeed in all they encounter, as a Packers Cheesehead I cannot be so generous on Game Days!
A great novel of suspense, RK finds that sweet spot between warrior monk and developing depth to his characters. Paige, Sean, and Charlie are rounding out a line up that is formidable. Jennifer character continues to grow as well. RK has a knack of making a story flow with excitement and joy. Well done!
Believe this is book #8 in Keating's Pastor Grant series. Another outstanding novel. Great story line and Keating continues with great character development. Being a huge Reagan fan myself, I had high expectations for this book and the author delivered again as he has in the past. Highly recommend this series as an enjoyable read with an uncommon lead character and supporting cast. Again, politics, action, economics, and God's word in another story well written!
This book includes the usual characters including Jennifer helping reshape Russia. It starts at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and moves to Russia
This is a 5🌠+, best read of the series. In today's world can learn a thing or two from this book. The background characters come to the front in this read.
