Davril's evil brother Nevos has crossed over into our world, and Jade and Davril have to stop him before it's too late.
When word comes that Nevos has been seen consorting with the Guild of Thieves, Jade goes undercover in the Guild to find out what he's up to. Surrounded by crime and vice, can Jade resist the lure of her old life, or will she stay true to the values of the Fae Knights?
Things get really sticky when she meets Nevos himself. Not only is he dead sexy, but he knows more about Davril than Jade has ever learned before. Nevos has secrets on top of secrets.
One thing is for sure -- if Jade can't get to the bottom of it all, and find out what's true and what's not true, meanwhile avoiding all sorts of fantastic dangers (not least the hot spark between her and Nevos), the Shadow will gain a foothold in our world.
When brother fights brother, the pillars of the world will shake. But with Jade between them . . . they'll shake harder? Gulp! Things are looking dangerous in post-Fae-rival New York.

Another exciting book in the Reclaiming the Fire series. In this book, Jade is asked to join an organization of thieves in order to find out what Davril's brother Nevos is planning. Jade's only hesitates because in order for her to join she must include her sister Ruby. SAfter a heart-stopping "initiation" she is immediately chosen for a gang that is out to steal from a magician and will need her ward-breaking abilities in order to pull off the theft.
Jade finds herself helping to steal from the magician she has been doing her best to locate, Vincent Walsh, the one who stole her fire. She also ends up hooking up with Davril's brother and that is a whole thing in itself. Find out what happens as Jade struggles to find out what she has helped steal, what Nevos wants to do with it, and what part Vincent Walsh plays in the whole thing. Be ready for some surprises.
I can't wait to see what happens between Davril and Jade now that Nevos is involved. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
Just finished this and have to wonder about Jade, After getting criminals for the Queen with her partner Davril the adrenaline pumps her up as well as the touches from Davril, he seems to blow hot and heavy or shuts down and becomes like ice. The Queen has asked Jade to go on a mission, they have a lead on Davril's brother Nevos. So she forms a game plan unfortunately she keeps changing things. She begins to have feelings for Nevos as well as those she already has for Davril. Now she must choose which brother.
I devoured this book and I really cannot wait for the next story as I wonder whats up with Vincent Walsh, why is he against the Shadow and will Jade get her fire back.
I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.
First let me state, I received an Advance Reader Copy, (ARC), but this in no way influences my review. I always leave an honest review.
This is the third book in the series and it's just as good, if not better than the first two. So much is happening between Jade & Davril in this story. She almost catches up with Vincent, she's still stealing & working for the fae queen. I can't wait for the next story. I recommend this read. 5 Thumbs up.
It's really funny thrilling a wild ride full of irreverent satire and manages to pull off a whole mishmash of storyline plotline crazy and some lovable characters and actually makes it work, and does a an amazinly good job of it. Jade is hilarious. A wonderful book. Don't miss this book and series
I was not expecting this. Jade made some bad, if fun, decisions in this book. It leaves the ending up in the air. We also found out some extremely interesting information on our most hated mage (Walsh). I do like that the author personifies the "bad" characters. It makes some of their motivations and choices make more sense, even if they still are evil choices.
Jade takes a job to get close to Nevis to see what's going on. She helps steal an artifact that will help make direct contact with the Shadow. But things go awry and even with Devril's elves, Nevis gets away with the wardrobe.
Wasn't as interested after the last book and it carried on through the beginning of this.
Once the action picked up it got a little better. Still pretty consistent action.
Some stuff about these books doesn't make much sense. In this one specifically Jade had a chance to get away with the item she needed but instead risked it all to make sure the evil person was there? Although it was pretty apparent that they were since the object was getting delivered to them and they were at the place of deliverance. Even after confirming that person was there Jade still didn't leave. Ugh. Things like that.
With the title I was expecting more "dragon". I have not read the first two and was not confused during this story. Did miss a little backstory so I will be picking up the first two books. Had to tell who was really evil and who was just being bad for a while. I liked Davril and Nevos and can see why Jade has trouble picking. Jade was likable and not whiny about not having her powers. The action was well paced. Story was left open at the end for the next book.
I think the series would have done well with just three books but I feel like it's just cycling over and over without really getting anywhere. I don't think I'll read the rest of the series.
Book 1 was so amazing, that I dont know why I couldn't get into this one. So disappointing didnt even finish the whole book 😔😔I might try it again in a few months maybe it's just me and the book is really good. 🤷🏽♀️
This book was the best one in the series so far. Lots of character twists revealed and doubts about who is good and who is evil. I love the growth of the multiple sub plots. Can’t wait for next one.
Dragon Game was a wonderful addition to the series. The ending kind of broke my heart but I look forward to the next book and seeing what the future holds for our heroes
This book was pretty good. It was slow in the beginning but picked up in the end. I would be interested where this will all end up. I am leaving a voluntary review for an advanced copy of the book.
Davril has a brother? A brother named... Nevos. They look kind of alike but Nevos is the kinky bad boy brother. Is it a surprise that Jade decides to take up on his offer? Jade... don't think with your pussy. That only leads to trouble! Although, seriously, Nevos seems like the fun brother until we learn what he did. Not so cool. This is less about moving the plot forward and more about Jade's life as a fae knight and getting her relationship even more complicated.
