If the author's purpose in writing "Creepers" is to confuse and befuddle, the story is a smashing success. If, however, the intent is convey a storyline, "Creepers" is an utter failure Sentence structure and punctuation exist for the purpose of conveying to a reader the meaning and flow of the story presented. Misuse of words and common phrases is not innovative; it is a blatant show of ignorance. Calling it "poetic telling of one man’s terrifying ordeal" does not mitigate the lack of coherence. Calling it a Lovecraftian horror short story is misleading. I've read Lovecraft and he would be shocked to have his name associated with this.

The only disbelief suspended here was that a story ever existed.

1.5, I hated this. The writing style was admittedly not for me. The bounce between beautifully constructed sentences backed by kindergarten phrases gave me whiplash. I might have liked it more if there was even a crumb of an ending.
