Any book that teaches children about dog rescue is approved by this rescue mama! A very sweet story of a pup trying to help readers choose a dog to adopt. The dog selflessly introduces readers to all of his furry friends without considering that he may be the pup of your dreams.

Warning- the title is one massive spoiler. The whole book is about choosing which dog to take home, entirely narrated by pickle himself. The drawings of pickle are great, I like the ball retrieval pages. The sad pickle in the basket page is very well done too.

I love this book! A definite must read if you love dogs even if you are not a kid. Great illustrations and a charming main character make this book a can't miss. I am thinking of naming my next dog Pickles because of this book.
