I barely survived a dangerous trip to the past, but my problems are just beginning. The Eyes and Ears are still hunting the people I care about most, and even my brother's ability to see the future can't guarantee our safety.
But when a glimpse forward in time reveals an impending ambush, all of us scramble to put together how the Eyes and Ears will find us before it's too late. And if it's impossible to prevent, well ... I'm not going down without a fight
Don't miss this heart-stopping conclusion to The Souls Untethered Saga!
Award-winning and USA Today bestselling author K.J. McPike lives out of a carry-on size suitcase and a backpack. (Mostly the backpack.) After growing up in rural Virginia, she embraced the nomad life and has since lived in nearly a dozen countries across five continents. No matter where she is around the globe, she is likely consuming too much caffeine and spending more time in coffee shops than her own apartment.

If you liked any of K.J. McPike's previous books in the series , you wouldn't want to miss this final one . And if you haven't read any of the previous books. Astral projecting is a very cool and rare paranormal ability, worth giving a try. So highly recommended !!
After the approx. two and a half year wait, the much awaited final book in the series certainly met my expectations, Throughout keeping me at the edge of my seat. Going from one impossible situation to the other. Never a dull moment whatsoever. Time just flew by . And before I knew it, I'd reached the end of the book.
I have two prominent feelings towards the ending - it's perfect / a little unsatisfactory. I wanted more in the epilogue. It all ended too fast. The ending isn't necessarily bad or anything. It is beautiful in it's serene simplicity, especially after all the adventure. And I'm sure the characters appreciate the calmness even though it must feel weird to be back to normal after all the excitement . I totally get it. ...but...I merely wanted something more from it.
There is an addition of more super cool powers. Lali makes many mistakes which make us frustrated with her but they show the desperation in her situation. How everything is tense and unpredictable. There isn't much romance here between Kai and Lali but simple belonging and companionship along with some animosity which I think makes sense given all that has happened so far ( in the previous books). Also there truly isn't much time for that anyways , given their situation. All in all, everything is portrayed very well ( except for my mixed up feelings towards the epilogue that I have yet to sort out)
( I received a digital copy of the book. Thank you K.J. McPike !)
What a finale K.J.Pike has given us. Yes it has been a while but the storyline sprang straight back into my mind, and I have loved this brilliant series from the beginning. K.J.Pike gives no rest up in Paths Uncertain, it’s like a get ready get set and go book as honestly every page is constant non stop action. I felt sorry for Lali and family including Kai & Kara because these people so need and deserve a break against their fight against Arlo & his gang of minions. I was hanging on with mouth open and bum not moving from my seat with the tension and what I think is finally the worst ending they could have hoped for. Every chapter gives you more and more emotions pouring off the page and I felt every single one resounding in my bones. When I had to finally go to sleep 💤 I just couldn’t stop the storyline running behind my lids like a movie reel which had no pause button, therefore as soon as my eyes opened it was coffee and Paths Uncertain. You are kept guessing until the very end if Lali, family and friends will actually make this a happy ending or is it complete devastation? This author is an incredible writer that knows how to expand and put so much depth into her characters that everyone of them becomes alive before your eyes. This is one big finale for this series and I can’t wait for her next book as they have been a big missing part of the world of books and they definitely deserve the spotlight. Would I recommend? Absolutely 100% YES !!
I was introduced to The Souls Untethered Saga back in 2015 and in the years since, I often found myself thinking of Lali's story and wondering what could happen next.
It's been a few years since Fates Unsparing but from the moment I started reading Paths Uncertain it was like no time had passed. I found myself completely swept up in the unpredictable world full of secrets and supernatural powers.
After a dangerous trip into the past, Lali's problems are just beginning. Hiding is no longer an option but with the Eyes and Ears always one step ahead, it seems trouble is always just around the corner. But Lali is not going down without a fight.
This is a fast paced finale filled with twists and turns that had me literally shouting at the pages of the book (much to my other-half's amusement). It's an emotional journey full of heartbreak and humour that had me hanging onto every word.
It doesn't happen often enough but it is the BEST feeling when you find a book or a series you can't stop thinking about and for me this saga found an instant place in my heart. Each installment left me on the edge of my seat until the very last page. I have loved spending my time with the Yavari family and their extraordinary friends. Paths Uncertain was a fantastic finale to an amazing saga. I can't recommend it enough.
Paths Uncertain is the fourth and final book in K.J. McPike’s Souls Untethered series, and it was amazing. There was so much action and tension and twists and heartbreak and horror and relief; I was just as on edge as Lali was in the book while reading it. It completely sucked me in and I couldn’t—and didn’t want to—put it down until I reached the bittersweet end.
In this final book, Lali, Kai, and their families are on the run and no matter what they do, Arlo always seems to be one step ahead. But with the help of new friends, maybe, just maybe, they can finally find freedom, even if it comes at a cost.
I absolutely love this series and recommend it to anyone who loves time travel, a strong family unit, superpowers, and a battle between good and evil.
