I love a good romance. Takedown is more than a good romance, it's a soul stirring addiction. Owen knows how to be a jerk. His heart is heavily guarded, but his hormones are on full display. One indiscretion too many lands him in the doghouse intent on breaking free by any means necessary. Until the "Lone Wolfe" is brought down by a no nonsense, mass of contradictions. Hartley is not afraid to break the rules when it comes to sex appeal. Owen and Molly are a match made in sensual heaven.

The first two sentences read as this:

Ok guys. I'm just jumping in here head first. I could sit here for hours and tell you all about what's going on in this tale. I could tell you how arrogant the main male was. I could tell you about all the heat and sex appeal within. I could tell you its a fantastic storyline. I could tell you a lot a lot of things. But because I'm me, I'm running this show. No, I'm just kidding. There's no show. If you're looking for a fast paced, action galore, steamy, sexy as sin, hot and sizzling then throw in drama to spice things up read. Then congratulations my friends you've found it. A full range of emotions that's on point and believable. Twists, turns and expected surprises to keep your attention on the pages and frozen to your seat. The realism of the characters and scenes are so vividly detailed that it comes to life before your eyes. I followed along watching the characters as their personalities transformed and blended beautifully. Lana brought this plot together seemlessly and smooth flowing as a mountain stream. With such a keen eye and insight for descriptions, its no wonder Lana is such an awesome author. Fantastic job Lana and thanks for sharing.

I read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story about Owen Wolfe, a billionaire who is used to getting everything he wants. When he is banned from Club Expose, a sex club, before he gets his date with one of the strippers, he is angry and wants to find a way back into the club. Own goes to see the owner's daughter, Molly, who really runs her father's companies and asks her out in hopes of charming her into overturning his ban. Molly has always done what her father wanted and gets no credit for anything. She sees Owen as a risk and she wants to do something for herself. When they begin a relationship, they both say it is only a fling, but feelings might get in the way. When Molly learns Owen only wanted to get back into the club, she feels used and hurt. I liked this book, it had steamy scenes between Molly and Owen. They had great chemistry and had feelings they never expected. Good one.

Unfortunately, I’m in a hospital and asked my husband to post this since I don’t have the time or ability right now to do better - even though the book definitely deserves it.
Bottom line: Lana Hartley’s Takedown: An Enemies to Lovers Dark Romance is, quite simply, wonderful. This was one totally fun novel and definitely recommended. It had just what I wanted and was well written and with a great plot and great cast of characters. Owen Wolfe is a wonderful and yummy alpha male, and Molly Quinn is just the gal to bring him to his knees. It’s a total pleasure following along as this happens. I’m not going to summarize the plot, as the publisher’s blurb does a good job of this, but the bottom line is easy: hit, sexy, fun, and most definitely highly recommended.

It’s a well written story with steamy sex scenes, but in fact, quite simple. That would have deserve few more chapters to know the reactions of her family.

“Takedown” is the first book I've read by Lana Hartley and I was genuinely impressed with Lana's writing. Owen, a billionaire playboy has been banned from club Expose. Molly is the beautiful daughter of the club owner. He begins a relationship with Molly under false pretenses hoping to get his club privileges back. Owen's plans backfire when he falls for Molly. “Takedown” is an amazing sexually intense read that will keep you turning the pages until you reach the beautiful HEA. Great story! Wonderful Characters! A must read!

This was a very good read. When Owen gets suspended from the exclusive strip club Expose, he will do whatever it takes to get it lifted. Molly is always trying to get her father's approval, but whatever she does, it's never enough. Owen shows up in her office and decides to asks her out. She decides to step out of her comfort zone and accepts the date. What starts out as a way to get back into Expose, turns into more for Owen. He can't stop thinking about Molly. Their attraction to each other was instantaneous and their chemistry is sizzling hot. What happens when the truth comes to light?

Molly is a strong, determined woman who feels she has something to prove. Owen is self-centered, rich and feels he is "entitled". When a suspension from Expose(a se* club) sets these two on a collision course, something or someone is headed for a takedown. Once again Ms. Hartley had written a great story with characters you love (or love-to-hate) who have hot as he** chemistry.

A very steamy with the hint of darkness story with great storyline and plot. Characters are well described. A woman that has very bad experiences with relationships or men. A player that is a man whore who only wants women for the sexual part. Story filled with secrets, trust issues, passion, steamy chemistry, dark scenes, emotional ups and downs. I like the unexpected twists.
This story is a quick and easy read with a simple storyline but absolutely enjoyable.

When he loses his membership to his favorite strip and sex club. He plans on using Molly to get it back. Will his plan work or will he get more than he bargained for? This is a fast-paced read with steamy chemistry, hot sex and an entertaining story. I liked it.

Takedown was awesome - a rich, dark tale of enemies to lovers. I loved how Molly tried to win her father's trust and approval, but in the end she learned how to be her own person. Owen was that hot, dark alpha we all love! Great emotions and sizzling chemistry in a well-written story!

A fantastic story that keeps you wanting more. Owen's pursuit of Molly is all for a good cause, according to Owen. What will happen when Molly finds out the truth? Can Owen make Molly understand why he did what he did? Will Molly ever forgive him?? Highly recommend!!

Wow!!! Interesting story. A player and an uptight woman. There is a lot of sex scenes in great detail.
