Kendell and Pauline continue their trip to different places, but first Pauline wants to make a stop in her hometown in Georgia. Before they get to Georgia, they make a detour to Mississippi and stay there. There’s a party going on with blues music that both women are anxious to attend.

Just like their previous trips, they come across a dead body and wind up in the middle of a murder investigation. They always seem to be in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The police won’t let them leave town until this murder is solved, so they take matters into their own hands.

This is the fifth book in the Flight Risk series and I’m really enjoying these books. They are fast reads that can be read in one sitting. It’s a nice change of pace between longer books.

I have to admit that I did suspect the killer early on but I still enjoyed following the storyline. The characters are well written and the story moves at a nice pace. The author has a way of writing the setting descriptions that always put me right there. This was no exception. I felt like I was in Mississippi. Fun series and I’ll be back for the next one.

Once again, Susan Harper has hit a home run with the fun and fast-paced cozy mystery starring two of the best developed characters who are complete opposites, yet they treat each other as though they have known each other for years. Kendall is a flight attendant who was chosen by Pauline to accompany her on her bucket list trips around the world, while teaching Kendall a little bit about what life is all about. The feisty old octogenarian can out pace Kendall and in the past four books in the series they always seem to end up in some type of trouble where they have to solve murders. In this book, prior to their next vacation destination, Pauline wants to take a side trip to Georgia to see her granddaughter taking Kendall with her. They have driven very far, having left from Texas and they decide to stop over in a small town in Mississippi. And Pauline wants to take a riverboat ride before they get on the road again the next day and they both want to see a Blues Party with some old and new acts. Of course, one of the acts, a new young blues singer, with a lot of promise is murdered. And so begins the next adventure of Pauline and Kendall and her pocket dog Dot. They must help the police solve the murder so they can leave the next day on their road trip to Georgia. Once you begin this book, there is no way you can put it down without finishing it! I love this series and adore the dynamic duo of Pauline and Kendall. I received and ARC, but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.

Not having read how this partnership came to be or how this adventure began, and escalated over time, I thoroughly enjoyed this madcap adventure. I quickly went and purchased the box set of books 1-6 in this series. I am looking forward to enjoying them all while doing some adventure traveling of my own.

Both Kendell and Pauline were in need of some excitement in their lives. Kendall had done nothing but work for years, and her boyfriend wasn't very supportive of her taking time to enjoy herself. Miss Pauline is having an adventure while she is still able, but her granddaughters are a bit resentful that she may be spending their inheritance.

Taking a brief break in Mississippi while on their way to Georgia, where Pauline is from, they roll into town just as a blues celebration is about to happen. This may be culture shock for Kendell, but oh so wonderful - until someone gets murdered.

I love the setting and the fast paced action and the wonderful characters!
I can't wait to start from the beginning and read this entire series.

We're on the road again with Miss Pauline and Kendell. They rented a car in Texas and are on their way to Georgia. But as our title implies, we have a "Murder in Mississippi". Our girls stop in Mississippi to take a ride on the Mississippi river and come across a " Blues" concert being held at the local museum. Everyone is dressing in 30's and 40's clothing and our girls are no exceptions.
Miss Pauline is having so much fun dancing and eating and Kendell is really getting into southern food. All of a sudden the lights go out and ...you gotta read the book to find out what happens next , but I promise if you like cozy mysteries you won't be disappointed. Susan Harper is a master of her craft.
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I have been following Pauline, Kendell and Dot the 'over deserving' dog as they go on their world travels. Due to a terrible storm in Texas, their trip was cancelled. So Pauline being Pauline, decides to go on a road trip to Georgia. Everything is going well until they go to a Blues concert and one of the musicians is killed. This happens in Mississippi. Of course Pauline is never one to leave a mystery behind without finding out the ending. These two are quite the traveling companions along with Dot. You can't forget Dot. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. This is my opinion of it.

HIGHLY ENTERTAINING MURDER MYSTERIES

Totally hooked on these adventure stories. A senior lady, with her pet dog Dot and a young flight attendant traveling around the world sight seeing. Along their travels, at each destination, there is a murder and they just happen to become involved and ultimately solve the murder mystery. Taking a break from flying, they drive to Mississippi and again become involved in another murder.

This series is so much fun. Love Pauline and Kendell. How they keep getting caught up in murder mysteries to solve is quite interesting. Murder and mayhem are never far behind when Pauline and Kendell are around. This vacation is turning into a lesson on how to be a private detective. Can’t wait to read the next book about their adventures in Georgia. Susan Harper has written some pretty wonderful books and I enjoy reading her stories.

I like Kendell and I like Pauline. I like the setting of Mississippi. I like the talk of the food and the river. The mystery was a little more straightforward than I like. It was a little too easy to solve and the cops looked a little too dumb.
I will keep reading books with Kendell and Pauline. I’m excited for their next adventure and the hints to that next adventure was very well done. But this mystery wasn’t my favorite.

In this book the journey of a lifetime goes on.

Getting off the airplane’s in into a rental car to continue their trip with side trip to Georgia and an unscheduled layover in Mississippi The two friends and the little dog continue on your journey. They simply seem to find travel wherever they go. Worth reading.

Pauling and Kendal are taking a break from the round the world trip and driving from Texas to Georgia. It seems that each of these books has a dead body and the amateur sleuths are on the trail again

It's always great fun reading each cozy mystery book written by Susan Harper - Murder In Mississippo doesn't disappoint!

The dialogue between Pauline and Kendell as well as the manner in which Harper includes Pauline's fur ball Dot are primarily what keeps me coming back for each subsequent book!

Harper's writing style and lively, realistic dialogue sweep me away to whichever, country, state or town where her story takes place. Highly recommend.
