Trio: An Origin Story

Rate this book
What happens when great power doesn't come with great responsibility?

More likely to stay home listening to the Smiths than to run around righting the world’s wrongs, high school senior Jeannette Moss is socially invisible except to her best friend Tyler and her new boyfriend Matt. So when the trio stumbles into superpowers, Jean is dragged into an adventure to uncover the mysteries literally lying beneath their town.

Underground bunkers, corporate mercenaries, otherworldly beings, and 50’s television icon Donna Reed conspire to tear the trio apart. Through self-discovery and trusting her friends, Jean must learn to step up and take responsibility.

AN ORIGIN STORY is a new adult urban fantasy complete at 75,000 words. With a protagonist who is more Rory Gilmore than Katniss Everdeen, Jean’s story combines the mature teen voice of Lev Grossman's THE MAGICIANS and the street-level superheroics of the film Chronicle.

I mean - is it fair to review my own book?

I read it, right? Like 5 times or so... because editing.

So I'm not going to give it a star rating because that feels disingenuous - but you can! <3

Dude this is really Fucking good.

I was going to get in here and post a positive review because I've known the author since the Inside Pulse message boards; however one chapter in and I was like duck this is really fucking good. I can see this as a movie or tv series and am eagerly awaiting the next installment.
