To Whatever End

But not today.

When I accidentally touch him, within only moments of our first meeting, I’m bombarded by visions of his death.

And from what I can see, I’m the reason he dies.

I enjoyed this one. The description of this book really appealed to me from the start so I thought it would be worth a try. I was really curious about how the ability to see when your relationship with someone would end would play out in a story, and I think that it worked pretty well. This was a really quick read, and I found it to be quite enjoyable.

When Quinn touches someone for the first time, she sees how that relationship will end. She knows if it will be a long term relationship or if it will end quickly. I thought that this was a really interesting ability and it made sense that it would have a big impact on Quinn's life. Do you go out on a date with someone you know will break your heart? Unfortunately, even though she knows what is going to happen, she can't do anything to stop it.

Quinn meets Griffin at an art gallery. They are both there to find inspiration: Quinn for her photography and Griffin for his music. When she touches him, she sees that he will die soon while telling her that he loves her. As fate would have it, she soon learns that he lives in the same apartment complex as she lives with her grandmother. They are drawn to each other and love spending time with each other but Quinn is afraid that she might be the cause of his upcoming death.

I liked the characters in this book. Quinn had been through a lot in her life and her special abilities have not made things any easier for her. Griffin has had his own challenges and is trying to start fresh on his own in a different state. It really seemed like these two needed each other and I thought that they were good together. Quinn's friend Olivia was a good source of support for her and her new boyfriend, Jack, seemed like a good guy as well.

I do wish that we would have had the chance to see Quinn have to deal with her powers more often in this book. I only remember it happening twice in the story and I think it would have made the story more interesting if it came up more often. I didn't find the mystery to be too hard to figure out but I was still eager to see how things played out. There were a couple of times in the story when things felt a little too convenient but nothing that I couldn't look past.

I would recommend this book to others. I thought that this was a fun story with an imaginative premise. I wouldn't hesitate to read more of this author's work in the future.

I’m going to be honest–the cover was what first drew me to this book because when I first saw it, there was no synopsis.

But, as soon as I started reading I was so glad because right off I knew I would love the main character, Quinn.

Quinn is a pretty quiet protagonist who shies away from close relationships with boys; all because every time she touches someone she sees how the end of their relationship will come about. Understandable, this makes Quinn less-than-eager to pursue a relationship when she knows how those relationships will meet their demise.

In the case of Quinn’s first meeting with Griffin, he touches her and from there–she actually does see his demise.

At this point, Quinn struggles internally with how much to pursue Griffin–whether or not to pursue him and just how much of the future is left to fate or control.

Quinn is an endearing character who dragged me along and made me empathize for her. Once you get into the story, there’s so much more there to her backstory that unravels.

Griffin is a worthy hero and succeeds in charming Quinn and the reader into rooting for him and their love.

Questions of fate, how much is true love worth, and what sacrifice really means are all explored in this novel.

This is one of those books I enjoyed quite a lot. It is a relatively quick read (@4 hours). It kept me interested and turning the pages. The writing flowed well. The characters were likable (if maybe a little one dimensional). The plot was entertaining (although very predictable <-- I am chalking this up to the fact that there is a tiny cast of characters that made figuring the "mystery" out very easy. The romance was sweet. I am giving it a solid thumbs up as a pleasant way to spend an afternoon..

I enjoyed the creative premise of this book. Being able to essentially see a future event from touching someone seems like quite a burden to bear. Even if the outcome is positive, it's difficult to keep things "under wraps." Of course, things can't be that easy for our main character, Quinn. She has haunting visions of future events that she can't bear to see come true. She is consistently trying to figure out a way to change future events.

I've seen this book categorized as a fantasy on Goodreads. I believe it would be better classified as mystical. For the most part, I really don't believe it fits the description of a true fantasy book. What it did really well was present a love story that also included a mystery and some mystical elements.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC. I chose to voluntarily review it and the opinions contained within are my own.

Quinn has a talent, or a curse as she calls it - when she touches someone, even the briefest brush, she sees a vision of the last time they will see each other. This might be completely innocent, but things change when she meets Griffin. What she sees is death.
.
To Whatever End is a nice blend of whodunit, a touch of mysterious “power”, and YA. While it has some high school-level romance involved, it’s not a main thing. Overall, I will give this one a 3.5 - I thoroughly enjoyed it but it wasn’t particularly inventive. There were some twists and turns I didn’t expect while others seemed quite obvious. Pleasant and quick, but not a hold-the-phone-while-I-tell-the-world kind of book.
.
I have voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Quinn is cursed. The first time she touches someone, through a handshake or accidentally brushing past a random stranger, she sees the last encounter she’ll ever have with that person. Naturally, she doesn’t have a lot of relationships, since she’s able to see things ending in flames with friends or boyfriends. When she meets Griffin at an art gallery, she’s horrified by a vision of him dying in her arms. It seems like their destinies have been entwined, since the last thing he says in the vision is that he loves her. Determined not to fall in love with him and to save his life whatever the cost, Quinn sets out to change the future–something she’s never, ever been able to do. I received a free e-ARC through NetGalley from the publishers at Entangled Publishing, LLC. Trigger warnings: death/parent death, guns, fire, severe injury, stalking, harassment, vandalism, threats.

This is probably what my friend Roberta over at Offbeat YA would call Contemporary With A Twist, which is one of my favorite names for one of my favorite genres. It’s pretty much just like our world with one important difference. In this case, it’s Quinn’s ability to see last meetings, a curse that’s been passed down (with slight differences) to all the women in her family. This is more than enough to drive the whole novel, at least for me, and I was interested every time we got new information about it through Quinn’s interactions.

More importantly, though, it’s interesting to see how her ability has shaped her character. I’ve sometimes imagined I could see the ends of relationships as soon as they started, and it’s not great for relationship longevity. But Quinn actually can see them and, most of the time, she doesn’t see a reason to bother at all. (I think there’s a mistake in thinking that something isn’t worthwhile just because it ends, but that’s not really the point of this story.) She’s shut herself off from most people outside of her grandmother and her best friend, Olivia, and I like her arc about fighting to change what seems like a forgone conclusion.

I’m less enthusiastic about the romance, but that’s typical for me. I like Quinn, and I like Griffin, even if he’s a bit standard as a love interest. He apologizes for assuming pretty girls don’t go to museums (major ick), so I guess that’s character development. Olivia’s boyfriend, Jack, brings an interesting dimension to their group, and most of the mystery centers around him and Quinn/Griffin’s stalker. Things are a tad bonkers by the end, but I wasn’t expecting a book that starts with a curse to stay within the realm of possibility. It has a sweet romance and enough mystery to keep things moving, and that’s plenty for me.

Quinn's predicament is definitely something to shoulder. A blessing or curse, however you view her "power" is in the eye of the beholder, but what she's seen most recently is definitely on the darker side of things. A death, but not just any, nor was it any old way, or of someone if no importance. No, this was someone she had yet to know, and if her vision is anything to go by (which it always is) yet to LOVE. How's THAT for a fortune cookie that NO ONE wanted ever? Yeah, exactly. So, how to fix it? CAN it be fixed? Is anything actually broken or are we embarking on a Final Destination-esque journey that will only end when everyone is taken out? Questions aplenty, but answers are few and far between.

Watching Quinn and same said mysterious stranger turned potential love (aka Griffin) was SO HARD. I mean, would knowing your relationship has an expiration date help or hurt? What about is only ONE party knows? Yeah, my heart bled for Quinn...but Griffin's life wasn't a walk in the park either, and as we learn more about him, we see where the deadly turn of events could be coming from. Word to the wise? Literally about halfway through...there's a twist you won't see coming. Promise. Now, later on, there's a few turns that I did see coming, but that could be because of the books I've read previously making me already suspicious of those that your average reader may not be (and since none of you are average, I'm pretty sure you'll pick it up to), but it doesn't ruin anything because, just like Quinn's visions, you just won't believe the outcome until you've read it with your own eyes. Love is lost for good, life is lost for some, and eyes are opened to things that were kept hidden like so many skeletons in a closet.

One small mention of a minor pet peeve for me...Quinn's time spent in her head. Honestly, a big part of the book is her going back and forth about whether to tell or not, can she do anything or not, bemoaning her fate, and the lot. It was only a speed bump in my reading adventure though because my FINAL VERDICT is that I loved it! I would highly recommend it to Contemporary Young Adult fans who love a bit of mystery, romance, friendship, and something DARKER that doesn't go BUMP in the night, but BANG!

3.5 rounded to a 4 ⭐️

“Fate didn’t turn out the way I’d planned. But fate apparently doesn’t care about plans. It doesn’t care about anything. And maybe we’re all just one decision away from a totally different life.”

To Whatever End is YA fantasy novel according to Goodreads.
I feel like I should say that I wouldn’t classify this as fantasy. I think if people come in to this book with the expectation of a fantasy novel they will be very disappointed. Our main character has visions of the way her relationships end with whom ever she touches. While very intriguing that is the most fantasy you will get.

I enjoyed this book overall. It was an easy read and the plot kept me on my toes. There is a mystery that needs solving and I of course figured out pretty much right away but that’s common for me.

My only complaint is that we didn’t get enough background on her visions or curse as the main character Quinn called it. I would have loved to know more about it.

I would definitely read more by this author and I recommend this if you’re looking for a quick easy YA book.

Thank you Entangled Teen for the ARC of this book.

I'm not crying! Okay, maybe I am...
Wow! What a journey!

I'd like to point out that I'd consider this book a YA Contemporary Romance with some mysterious twists thrown in as the plot is pretty focused on Quinn's relationship with a certain boy she meets. Yes, she does have visions, but I don't think that's enough to push this book into 'Fantasy' territory. Now, that being said, the plot is solid! It does get a tad predictable at times and the ending was what I was rooting for the whole book, BUT I loved the story so much and became so invested in Quinn and her choices, I didn't care about the predictability.

If you love sweet YA romance, Mysteries/Thrillers, or just a crazy rollercoaster ride...I'd definitely recommend checking this one out! It's a fantastic book and I wholly enjoyed it.

unfortunately, my review/rating is a result of my pre-reading expectations not quite matching what this story actually is. the synopsis was totally giving me ‘the raven boys’ vibes and this wasnt that.

i think if this had focused more on quinns ‘curse’ and the magical realism aspect of the story, i would have loved this more. but the plot was diverted by a mystery/thriller component that i wasnt quite a fan of.

regardless, this is a quick, unique read that im sure some readers will enjoy.

Once I started reading this book, I could not put it down. This was finished in one sitting and by the end, I still had some questions hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Quinn is cursed. Her mother was cursed as well as her grandmother. There were different degrees of the curse which led each young lady in the family to see different things. Quinn gets a vision of the last time she will ever see someone just by a touch. She can normally handle the visions without an issue until she meets Griffin, his vision tips her off balance because she sees him dying and confessing his love for her!

I liked Quinn enough but felt that her immaturity showed several times throughout the book. The back and forth with Griffin was a little exhausting and if it weren’t for a great mystery, I definitely was not reading for the romance. Don’t get me wrong, I like Griffin but their relationship ran hot and cold which left me frustrated. And their arguments were kind of just brushed under the carpet and not really discussed through.

As for the whole mystery of the book, there was a lot of foreshadowing so it was pretty easy to kind of see what was coming. I had to keep reading though to see if I was right. By the end, I wasn’t really too shocked.

I felt that the author could have elaborated more upon the curse. Where did the curse come from? What were the differences in each family member’s curse? What visions did her grandmother see? These questions were never answered and I felt like we were missing one big piece of the puzzle.

Even though all of my burning questions were not answered, I still very much enjoyed the story! Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the review copy in exchange of an honest review.

Most days it's a curse, but somedays it's kind of a blessing in disguise, Quinn has the ability to determine the future with one single touch. She can reach out a hand and instantly know how her relationship with that particular person will continue or ultimately end... and most of the time it's good. But this time it's not, it's anything but really. Griffin comes along, there's an innocent touch, and suddenly there is a dark dooming cloud hanging over them. And Quinn knows the outcome, and it's not a good one!

To Whatever End is an inventive and suspenseful young adult tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. Quinn's ability has lead her down a path that she isn't so sure she wants to continue to experience, because after all, she already knows the outcome and it's not ideal. It's disturbing to know the person she just met and could absolutely fall for dies in her arms in the near future. So she decides to play with fate a bit and try and keep Griffin at bay, but fate winds up getting the upper hand as always.

This book was quite captivating, once I met Quinn and Griffin I had to know how things would go for them. Page after page they pulled me deeper into their world and took me on one heck of a thrilling and enthralling journey! If you like suspenseful tales with a bit of magic mixed in then I have a feeling this one will easily win you over, it's well penned words are bound to satisfy!

I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher and I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased opinion.

First I would like to thank Entangled Publishing and NetGalley for this eARC..

“ I’ll never forget that smile, those eyes, Your beautiful everything. The way you said my name, The way you said anything. Beautiful girl, On top of the world, You’ve never been found. If it were up to me, you’d be crowned.”

This book follows Quinn who is trying to get a scholarship to her dream college with her photography, and Quinn has a secret all the women in her family are cursed with powers but none are the same and poor Quinn? Well with every person she encounters and just the slightest of touches she has a vision of the last time she’ll ever see them.

What happens when she meets Griffin and they touch? She sees griffin die and not only that they confess their love for one another. What happens in between? What leads them there? You’ll have to find out.

In this mystery of who is after Griffin? Or are they really after Quinn?

I will admit at first the story was a little slow and it took me a moment to get into it, but once I did I couldn’t stop reading it. I devoured in less than a day and it was such a. Nice and good read, the ending and the reveal I did kinda see coming so I knocked a star off for being a little too predictable. But I loved Quinn and griffin and their relationship was to die for “literally” . I really hope you guys give this book a chance it comes out Jan 4 of next year. ❤️

Imagine having a curse that will tell you how a person leaves your life. That is what Quinn has and once she meets a cute boy that she likes, she touches him and finds out he dies in her arms.

First of I found this a very creative idea and I haven’t heard of anything quite like this before. Quinn, the main character, is a lot different from other books I have read. She is actually into photography and I find that quite refreshing from I read books romance novels. I especially enjoyed that we knew who the bad guy is but we didn’t know his motive till the end. It was excellent writing technique at that point.

Honestly the only thing I had a problem with was that at times it felt very faster paced but others it was so slow I had trouble reading it. But is a book I would definitely recommend.

**Thanks to Entangled Publishing and Netgalley for sending this for me to review.**

Romance isn't my typical go-to, but after reading and falling in love with Lindsey's "The Heartbeat Hypothesis," I had to read "To Whatever End," too.
As a writer myself, I related to Quinn's passion for photography and Griffin's passion for music. They meet at an art museum, which is such a perfect place for two artists to meet. They're attracted to each other from the start, but after Quinn touches him, her vision shows him dying in her arms. Her only choice is to stay away from Griffin while trying to figure out who would want to kill him. But staying away from Griffin isn't as easy as it seems...
If you enjoy romance, I recommend "To What Ever End" and "The Heartbeat Hypothesis!"

To Whatever End by Lindsey Frydman a thought-provoking four-star read. In some ways this was easily a five-star read, the premise and the story, but there was something amiss. Quinn was a compelling character and watching her unfold, and grow was a joy to read. Watching her deal with the curse and be brave enough not to just hide and ignore it like many people much more mature than her would. What would you do for someone who loves you, but whom you don’t even know.

To Whatever End was completely different than I expected, but I actually enjoyed it more because of it! It's categorized as fantasy on Goodreads, but I'd call it more of a thriller or mystery. While there are elements of magical realism, if you go into this book expecting a fantasy read you may be sorely disappointed. Magical realism books are books that mostly belong in another genre, but have hints of magic or something that couldn't happen in everyday life.

Quinn is cursed. Whenever she meets someone, she sees a vision of the last time they will ever see each other. Normally it's something small--friends drifting apart, a stranger on the street she'll never see again. But when she meets Griffin, she sees him dying in her arms, telling her that he loves her. Naturally, her instinct is to stay away from him so he doesn't get hurt. But fate has a funny way of playing out, whether you want it to or not.

This book had elements of everything I love in a book: mysterious death threats, a hacker, a touch of magic--but I felt like none of them were fleshed out enough. It's easiest to see what I mean when talking about the curse. We know Quinn has a curse, that's what created the premise of the story. But we don't really learn much about it. We touch on a few small facts, but I would have liked to see more. In magical realism books, magic is treated like fact: there's magic in a world that shouldn't have it. But it's never explained to satisfaction, which would have been nice to see here.

I tried to guess the mystery from halfway through the book, as I like to do, and I only got it partially correct, so points for that! I guessed the person because they freaked me out from the beginning, but I got the motive and relation to the main character all wrong. I like it when a mystery keeps me guessing, and though I knew the person, the story kept me on my toes looking for the motive.

All good thrillers need fast pacing to keep it interesting and (drumroll please) this one delivered! I read two-thirds of the book in one night because I literally could not put it down! Slow-paced thrillers can get really boring, because the entire point it to thrill you! Thankfully, this one kept me on my toes with fast pacing.

While I did enjoy this book, it did not especially stick out to me. If you're looking for a quick, fun thriller, this might be right up your alley! If you're looking for a book a change your life, you might not find it here. That said, I did have a great time reading it, and I hope you will too!

*I received this book from YA Bound Tours for my honest review*

I couldn’t put down this book! I read it all in one sitting as it was suspenseful, touching, and romantic. I really liked the main character Quinn as she is dealing with a curse that she isn’t allowed to talk about—seeing how a relationship will end. When she touches a person, she knows what kind of heartbreak is going to ensue, but she couldn’t imagine that it was because the boy she wanted to date was going to die.

From the first chapter, you wonder what she is going to do to try and save him, and you wondered if she was or if this was going to end sadly. I won’t spoil the ending, of course, but this entire book is definitely a read I will be recommending to those who like suspense. All the characters were interesting, and I really liked Griffin (the boy she has to save). I have been watching too much Avatar: The Last Airbender and totally just imagined him as Zuko the entire time, and that is what voice I heard in my head. Not complaining, just thought it was funny.

The only problems I had (and a problem I have while writing as well) is that there wasn’t very little interaction with other people that were supporting members or main characters. It seemed a little unrealistic or that there wasn’t anyone else in the town. There were instances where there should have been more people but it seemed silent. The other problem I had was there were some things that weren’t clarified and answered very well, but I don’t want to spoil what those were. All in all, I really enjoyed this book and will be checking out the author’s other novels!

TO WHATEVER END was a mysterious and quick read that has all the feels of a contemporary romance, but with a little paranormal twist thrown in for good measure. ⁣

Quinn is cursed — through a simple touch, she has the ability to see the last encounter she’ll have with someone. Normally they’re innocuous — someone walks out the door and that’s it. Or she sees her best friend, old and grey and obviously living a long life. When she meets Griffin, all that changes. Their ending is far from innocuous and Quinn has to figure out a way to change it. The only problem is you can’t change the future. But maybe it can be manipulated, and that’s what Quinn is determined to find out. ⁣

This was such a compulsive, addictive book that I finished in a day because I wanted to see how it would unfold. Though I did find the story to be a little predictable, it was still very much enjoyable and there were still plenty of twists and turns thrown in around the mystery to make me doubt my predictions. My only complaint was the paranormal aspect — while it was an appreciated little tidbit, I wanted to know more about the curse and the hows and the whys surrounding it. But all in all, I appreciated the inclusion of it, even if it was just a minor focus. ⁣

All told, TO WHATEVER END was a fast-paced, mysterious, romantic book and certainly one I’d recommend for anyone who loves both contemporary and paranormal romance. 3.5 stars.

Original review

This book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Entangled Teen!

After reading the synopsis of To Whatever End, I was really intrigued and I wanted to know what this story was about. So I requested the ARC and I’m so happy I did! I enjoyed reading this book and I really liked the concept. I’ve never read a book by Lindsey Frydman before so I was extra excited to read this book. I love discovering new authors.

I really liked the main characters. I liked Quinn because of her passion for photography, and I couldn’t not like Griffin. From the moment we first read about him in To Whatever End, I instantly fell in love with him. He’s just so cute, and I couldn’t stop smiling. I also like his background story and that he wanted a fresh start. I think we can all relate to that!

I liked To Whatever End, but I do think it was a bit predictable. I also wished we had some more background on her visions and I would’ve loved another chapter between the last chapter and the epilogue. But besides that, I think that To Whatever End was a good and easy read, and I will definitely check out the other book by Lindsey Frydman.

To Whatever End is a fast fun YA read that reads and feels like a contemporary with a sprinkle of magic.
Quinn seems like you average teen girl however her family has long been plagued with a curse. For Quinn this means a vision with every first touch showing what will be the last time they see each other.
The pacing of this book was on point and I enjoyed watching the mystery unravel on each page. I did however guess the culprit before the mid way mark in the book which I feel mainly because the author decided to have such a small group of characters this didn’t take away from my enjoyment of the book as there was always something else new to learn. The cute romance that felt natural for the characters' ages as well as realistic older teenage dialogue made the story and characters feel very natural and not forced into their age bracket.
If you're looking for an easy to read YA that has a well balanced mix of romance and mystery this is definitely a book to pick up with the bonus of a supernatural ability that gives it an added twist.

I really enjoyed this YA romance! It's classified as fantasy, but it reads as a romantic mystery with a dash of the mystical.

I loved the romance between Quinn and Griffin. Their banter and dates were so realistic! It felt like I knew them, and their relationship, even though it developed quickly, felt real. I enjoyed how they got to know each other better through their talks.

The mystical element of Quinn's curse was well fleshed out, though the idea of sacrifices seemed a bit drastic. I did enjoy the idea of fate and choices being explored, and the lore of different curses running in her family, though I would have liked more explanation around this.

The action ramped up steadily, and I was definitely sweating by the end! That final confrontation was intense, but the reasoning behind the character's actions were really interesting. I would have liked to get even more from that.

Overall this was a really good read! There were elements I felt could have been fleshed out more, but the romance between Quinn and Griffen really made me enjoy this story, and I would definitely read another book from this author.

Thank you Entangled Teen and Netgalley for this ebook arc in exchange for an honest review.

4/5 stars

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Quinn has a strange ability to see the end of her relationship with a person when she touches them. Most of the time, she brushes a stranger's arm and they will never see each other again. However, when Quinn meets an attractive musician at a museum, she sees him die--in her arms. He tells her he loves her before he bleeds out. Desperate to find a way to save this stranger, Quinn attempts to get close to him to prevent his death. Things get much more difficult when she realizes that she seems to be the reason he dies.

This book was pretty good! I read it in one sitting! I loved Quinn's desire to save Griffin and change fate. Her ability seemed interesting and I wish it was discussed more. Griffin was sweet and I wanted him to be with Quinn so bad! The plot kept me reading until I finished the entire book! My only complaint was that the story seemed a bit rushed and the mystery aspect seemed a little predictable. Other than that, I really enjoyed watching Quinn in her attempts to save Griffin while falling for him.

Readers looking for a short YA romance should give this a shot!

*I received a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review*

Quinn has a unique gift to see how her relationship will end with every person she touches. When she meets Griffin and sees the end of their relationship. Griffin dies in her arms and professes that he loves her after being shot.

My biggest pet peeve about the beginning of this book is that every time Griffin begins telling Quinn about his past in Arizona she starts saying I wish you would tell me more about your past. Like isn't that what he is doing?! Fights and disagreements between Quinn and Griffin were often pushed under the rug and never discussed again.

I had many questions that remained unanswered about the curse. What is the curse and why does it vary from person to person? If she had the curse did she know how her parents were going to die from a young age? This book would have been much better if the author had focused more on the development of the curse rather than the development of the hot and cold relationship of Quinn and Griffin. I kept feeling like something was missing and with more development of the story I feel this could have been a great book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for the arc of this book. All opinions are my own.

Look Entangled, I’m really gonna need you to stop putting me in my feels with each and every book. This one made me swoon, then hurt and just continually repeated that cycle. Until the end and now my eyeballs hurt.

Following the life of Quinn, you see her get visions of the end of her time with people with just one touch. This concept is so wild and fresh to me, I just wished we got a little more to their background or if he family is the only one. But I enjoyed the concept and utilization of these visions. Now, from the second Griffin was introduced I adored him. The misunderstood boy just wanting a fresh start. Their romance was sweet, even if a little cliche. I really loved how it flowed and developed.

My only complaint was that it was a little predictable when it came to the twists, but it was well written and alluring, so personally I didn’t mind. I enjoyed this so much and my heart feels so full.

To Whatever End is a really unique mystery with some paranormal elements to it. Quinn has inherited a gift/curse that is passed down to the females in her family. The gift/curse differs a bit between women and Quinn’s gift is to know how every relationship will end, simply by a touch and without the power to change anything. Living with her grandma Ruth since her parents have died, Quinn has had a little trouble in the dating scene because of her visions and it’s not until she meets Griffin that she see’s something truly terrible. Doing everything in her power to avoid this boy (and according to her vision, a boy she’s basically destined to love) doesn’t help when he becomes her neighbor.

There’s a lot of elements that I really enjoy in this story; a mysterious stalker, playful fun banter, twists and turns – some I saw coming while one I did not! It’s a quick fun read that I really enjoyed and I’ll definitely read more by this author. It’s not a super deep read but it’s a really fun one that kept me entertained throughout. Solid 3.5 stars!

Thanks to Entangled Publishing for giving me an early copy to read and review.

Quinn has a gift, or curse as she sees it, that will show her the last time she will see everyone she touches. Most of the time, it's completely innocent until one day she sees someone dying in her arms.

This book was a real quick read for me and I was hard pressed to put it down. I was completely immersed in Quinn's life and relationships. The plot kept me on my toes. It was a nice mix of romance, a hint of magic, and mystery. I thought for sure I knew how this story was going to end 50% of the way through the book, but I was pleasantly surprised to see I was wrong.

I would recommend this book of your looking for a quick, easy YA read.

I got the pleasure of reading this as an arc, slightly confused why it says the book is coming out March Second but that is besides the point. I wasn’t really sure what to think of when I went into this book. I’m always a bit skeptic when reading books that deal with supernatural elements such as visions. But I rather enjoyed this book and was able to envision what was happening in my head. I would kinda like to see a screen adaptation not going to lie

I have never heard of a concept like this and I really appreciated this book. It felt all too short. I really liked Lindsey Frydman's writing. It had a nice, easy flow, and was easy to make sense of everything that is going on.
