Wow another long read from the Immortal Ops Universe... 😊 It may be not as intense as the previous books but still a good read 👍🏻 Garth has a twin that is evil to the core, Grid who was targeting his mate Nicollete I love that Garth is a Viking and that his team is a mix of German, Russian and Scottish heheh 😍 The twist here is funny and was totally unexpected😲😲 I really love that the banter between the shifters and the fang gang are still there and it never gets old 😉..
Can't wait for Gram's, Cody's and Landros' and Auberi's story 😊
Another great book in the P-Ops series. Be prepared to laugh and cry, sometimes at same time. This story has lots of heat, instant connections, action, adventure, intrigue , passion and love. I enjoyed watching Garth find his mate all while he has serious issues with Auberi. I don’t want to give any spoilers away so what I will say is the romance between Garth and Nicolette is sizzling. I loved the plot, the characters and the way that this story flowed so smoothly. There is a big twist in this story which could impact his new romance but when it comes to these P-Ops men, they are all about their mates. Get ready for tons of laughs, passion and action.
My Rating: 4.6 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
Title: Act of Brotherhood PSI-Ops/ Immortal Ops Paranormal Security and Intelligence Release Date: #AlreadyReleased Author: Mandy M. Roth Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan Serial: Standalone, No Cliffhanger Genre:#Fae #Vampire #WolfShifters #5Stars🌟⭐🌟🌟🌟 •••••••••••••• 💢 Definitely loved this book always worth the wait for the next one to be released. Everything you can think of is in it Adventure, Survival, Fear, Jealousy, Betrayal, Suspense, Mystery, Action Packed, Loyalty, Hate, Lust, Love, Yep it's a Must Read!
🔹️Garth and Grid Ingersson are twins who were born Viking Wolf Shifter. But one is evil, can his brother save the females and destroy his brother.
🔹️Nicolette Henebury is human school teacher who is also a health nut. Getting her special order for preschoolers from the Bakery Nicolette, literally ran in to someone bet as soon as she looked up into his eyes it was kismet.
Act of Brotherhood is the sixth title in the PSI Ops series and brings us Garth’s story both discovering his mate Nicolette and the confrontation with his evil twin brother, Grid. Although the subject is heartbreaking, I did love the way this story opened, twenty years in the past which gives us a good look at what is to come… but also sort of gets lost in the present day happenings so that when events happen, secrets are revealed I was tempted to go “Oh, yeah, that’s right – I should have known.”
Garth is a stubborn wolf-shifter, a Viking through and through, an ancient who has seen so much during his long lifetime. Right now he’s making a pest of himself at an injured friend’s bedside and is convinced to try out another of those infamous injections that the docs come up with. Maybe he should have remembered what happened to the last guy who agreed to test out a drug. He’s sent away on assignment, a low-keyed one but still out of everyone’s hair for the moment. The last thing he expected was to run into his mate, actually, run into her on the sidewalk… or to once again encounter a face from the past, one he shares but has no love for the evil being that his twin has become.
Nicolette and Clara are best friends forever, share a living space, and believe they know just about everything about each other – well, they once did but now Clara is keeping her own secrets that she’s not quite ready to share. Nicolette has no idea that she carries supernatural DNA – but she’s about to find out.
The action is fast-paced, the chemistry between Garth and Nicolette off the charts in steaminess, and the evil has sadness connected to it as well. Surprises are in store for many of the members of the various Immortal Ops teams, and they will need to adjust attitudes accordingly.
I enjoyed Act of Brotherhood, although I will confess to skimming over one particular part (reading maybe every other sentence) because I was impatient to get the men moving already. Now I have a few more stories to look forward to given the information that was dropped in this story. That should prove very interesting.
I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.
felt sluggish at times, the herione was on the edge of TSTL at times, the fact that Garth didn't like Aubri (and apparently it was mutual) became annoying as it was practically shoved down your throat repeatedly so that it became a distraction to the story as well a bit insulting to the characters themselves (thinking the other would act unprofessional, unethical, or even dangerous manner to other just because of their dislike for some unclear reason). also the lack of characters truly listening to each other got to be a bit frustrating. had to stop reading several times and push myself through part of the book. just didn't work for me.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Act of Brotherhood is the 6th book in Mandy Roth’s PSI-Ops series. Garth Ingersson is an ancient Viking who leads a team of his supernatural brothers in arms, protecting humans and supernaturals alike, from those hell bent on world domination. Though his life was not always easy and he toed the line at times, he’s managed to stay on the side of good. The same can’t be said for his twin brother. Now his job is to find his twin and end his reign of terror. His life is turned upside down when he runs into a woman on the street.
Nicolette Henebury is happy in her life. She loves her job as a preschool teacher. She loves her best friend and roommate Clara. She lives in a lovely house in a wonderful area of Savannah. And though she lost her parents before she can remember, she was raised by her loving uncle who took great care of her. Though she’s not as adventurous as her best friend, she has a pretty good life. That life takes a wild turn after running into a clumsy giant of a man on the street.
I liked this book. Garth is funny, kind and of course hot as heck. Though he was a little irritating because he kept denying what was so painfully obvious. Nicolette is quirky, but a real sweetheart. She had no self preservation but she wasn’t a pushover either and when she learned about things that go bump in the night she didn’t totally lose her s#!t which made me respect her even more. The two together were scorching yet with that added sweetness. The book was a little long, and I especially struggled through the prologue. It just felt like there was too much information being presented, almost too many details, I was ready for the story itself to start. But once the story started it kept my attention. It had a lot of action, the love scenes were panty melting and of course all of our favorite characters were back with their antics, Striker, Edee and Duke to name a few. We also meet Clara, Nicolette’s best friend, who is not only hilarious but tells it like it is, I so love her honesty. In the end this was another good story added to the series. I very much look forward to seeing whose book is next. And I absolutely can’t wait for Striker’s book.
Who doesn’t love a hot Viking, some steamy Shifters, and sexy Vampires! When the PSI fellows get together you know there’ll never be a dull moment. Haven’t read the PSI-Ops books yet? Your missing out! If you love sexy alpha-shifters, spirited heroines, steamy action, and snarky humor this is the series for you. We get to see some of our favorite PSI operatives in action. Can’t wait to see what’s still to come for our favorite Alphas!
Garth Ingersson, Viking alpha wolf shifter has been around a long time. This Viking has been around for over 1200 years to be precise and still making women swoon with his rocking Norse bod. In need of a distraction, Garth finds himself sent to Savannah on a “fluff” assignment. While on assignment he runs into a spirited beauty with an unusual palate. Nicolette is everything he has ever wanted, he can’t seem to get his fill of her. Garth ultimately claims her as his mate and quickly loses control of his animal side. Believing Nicolette is human fearing for her safety, he quickly puts distance between them, ultimately leaving Nicolette vulnerable to the ultimate evil, his brother.
Nicolette Henebury, is totally unaware that the things that go bump in the night our real. She gets more than she bargained for when the Viking like hottie barrels straight into her. Nicolette instants falls for Garth, after a panty scorching kiss she wants more. After a few unforgettable nights with Garth, she cannot figure out why she is drawn to the steamy Norseman, she only knows that she doesn't want their time to end. When Garth disappears without a trace into the night, she has no clue what to do. With Garth gone, Nicolette is left with little defense against the powerful danger that is lurking nearby.
When Garth finally gets his animal side under control will he make it to Nicolette’s side before the ultimate evil can harm her? After her eyes have been opened can Nicolette accept everything she has just stumbled upon?
I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review and I couldn't put it down!
Audible version - not listed as edition yet I really enjoyed this one.
Viking Garth Ingersson!! He has a serious issue with Auberi from the Fang Gang. Auberi tried to kill his twin brother Grid ... back before Garth realizes how evil his brother actually is. Garth and Auberi cannot be in the same room without fights breaking out.
This is another flash back, where Garth & Auberi were on the same mission, where they discovered a facility testing on babies/children. Garth instantly latches on to a baby girl who's in trouble, and forces Auberi to help her.
Garth ends up in Savannah, tracking his evil twin ... Nicolette (the baby all grown up) lives with her best friend Clara (the little girl so protective of the baby at the facility). Nicolette is clueless about what she is, and where she came from. Clara, seems to be more clued in to what they are ... thanks to her secretive job.
Nicolette is a teacher, and notices a strange vibe man watching her. Then up pops another dude, who tries to jedi-mind trick her into going home. Wheeler, turns out to be a friend of their friend Cody - her one stab at a relationship/turned friendship. She ignores him, and picks up her custom made - any allergy-friendly muffins. Then, she literally runs into Garth, crushing her muffins ... and swearing he had his hair braided ... and where the heck did the scar go ... but she's not picking up a scary vibe. Nope, she's instantly hot and bothered by this guy.
Then it's on. There's a lot of cat and mouse, insta-attraction ... then Garth pulls a Malik, he mates Nicolette - then completely looses control of his wolf, runs from her to protect her - straight into his brother lurking outside. His team contains him, and keeps him locked up for days - and they're being entertained by fights between Garth and Aubrie. Then, they get their next case. Lambrose's niece is missing ... as well as another girl. Garth and the team realize Nicolette is Lambrose's niece ... and then they all realize Garth was telling the truth, and she's actually his mate.
Does he get to her in time, to save her from his brother and the Corporation??
Act of Brotherhood PSI-OPS Immortal Ops Book 6 Mandy M. Roth
Another great book in an incredible series! This is the story of Captain Garth Ingersson (6 ½ Foot Scandinavian Hot Viking/Wolf Shifter) and his mate Nicolette Henebury. There is a whole new crew to swoon over and to get to know as well as all the loveable characters from previous books. Garth and his team stumble into a scene that mirrored Nazi Germany during WWII. Children who were being used as lab rats for scientific experiments. A scene that brought back past nightmares for a few of the team. There are 2 little girls in particular that tug at the heart strings of Garth and sends a buzzing sound through him. Fast forward 20 years. Garth is on mission in Savannah, Georgia when he feels a tug and a buzzing that reminds him of the children in the past. He litterly runs into Nicolette on the streets. Nicolette and her roomie/ best friend Clara have been inseperable since childhood. Where Clara is bubbly and alwaays out and about, Nicolette prefers to be more practical. Clara loves being outdoors, Nicolette burns in direct sunlight and has a peculair taste in foods.(Get where I'm going yet)? Not quite understanding why, Nicolette is drawn to Garth and can't get him out of her mind or heart. Unknown to her or Garth, there is another who has found her and he looks just like her Viking. Two hot Vikings identical in looks but completely different in every other way. One good, one evil. Only Garth doesn't know his evil brother is in town, YET. A battle is on the horizon, one that will put brother against brother. Old scars are reopened and choices have to be made. If you have been following this series you won't be disappointed. All the favorite characters join in. Lots of love and huge laughs are in store for sure. *I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review*
Mandy Roth - Act of Brotherhood: Paranormal Security and Intelligence an Immortal Ops Book 6
Finally Garth’s Turn
Garth, a Viking Wolf Shifter, an intense alpha PSI ops has often been featured in previous PSI Ops books. An enjoyable character, he brings an element of humor and tough dedicated team member to the storylines. He is also a sexy Wolf Shifter male not looking to settle down with a mate as many of his teammates have, besides he believes he’s not destined to find a mate. The book starts with a look back into a PsiOps rescue which will break readers hearts, but also has great significance for Garth in the future. This is a good sized book that lets readers really get lost in this detailed paranormal/urban fantasy world Mandy Roth has created and continues to expand upon (thank goodness for the descriptions of all the characters in the Immortal Ops Helper in the beginning of the book). Many well liked characters from the series and spinoff storylines make have significant roles in this book as well as bringing lots of fun banter and humor. The heroine , Nicolette, is introduced during the flashbacks and is reintroduced years later as a dynamic beautiful woman who has no idea of her early years or what she and her friends actually are. In fact she has no idea shifters, Vampires, Fey, etc actually exist. Years later Garth and Nicolette bump into each other (literally) on the street and they end up spending two glorious days together before things get crazy, evil twin brothers appear and the rollercoaster action begins. Throw in romance , sexy seductive scenes, awesome secondary storylines and characters and you have another awesome book in the series.
The books in this series keep getting better and better. Oh my what is a girl to do when she runs into the man of her dreams. Nicolette was the type of person who always wanted to include everyone and made sure no one was left out. Garth was a 1200 year old wolf shifter who was on leave from the PSI and in town for businesses. Garth had no intentions of ever settling down his love of weapons and collecting them was far greater then his want of women at the moment. That however changes when he plows in to Nicolette on the street and boy did it ever change his mind. He falls head over heels with her and she him, but their union is going to cause a lot of trouble, confusion and many heads will be rolling. However there is always a snag in the road and the past comes rolling in as an evil force in guise Garth's twin Grid they may look alike but they are not anything like each other . Grid was evil and loved to torture and kill those weaker then himself especially women. He sets his sights on Nicolette . He's quest is to spread harm and make those who try to stop him suffer will suffer and the only that can stop him this time is Garth. Will Grid win or will the Garth and his friends finally put a stop to grids evil ways and save Nicolette and her friend..........you know the good guys always win. I just love the way the story plays out you just have to read to find out , oh and be on the look out for some of our past favorites.
I have always loved this series and this book is a great addition to the series. Garth is a grumpy Viking Wolf Shifter. Huge and good looking he is successful with the ladies when he finds the time which isn't often. At over 1200 years old, he is pretty certain he will never find his true mate. Nicolette is a pretty preschool teacher who lives with her best friend. She has no idea that wolf shifters exist but has a thing for Vikings. When she literally runs into Garth, she finds that he is the cupcake covered man of her dreams; until he runs off naked in the night. As for Garth, he has claimed Nicolette, but she can't possibly be his mate since she is human, his wolf thinks otherwise. When she and her roommate are targeted by his evil twin(yes an evil twin named Grid, even his name is vile), Garth, his team, and the Fang Gang rush back to Savannah to save them. Turns out that Nicolette is not as human as she thought ( her parentage is an amusing surprise) and that she was one of the children Garth and his team rescued from the Corporation twenty years before.
As usual Ms. Roth has combined edge of your seat suspense with romance and almost non stop action. I stayed up way too late reading this one and then I read it again. Viking wolves, vampires, fae, and Shark shifters? I can't wait to read the next one!
This book was given to me in exchange for an honest review.
Garth Ingersson team leader of group 8, a team of immortal shifters whose purpose is to fight and destroy an agency known as the Corporation, who kidnap and experiment in all types of supernaturals including artificially insemination to try and come up with a type of super soldier. Twenty years earlier he and others in the paranormal agency he works for, had raided a building and found a baby farm, with the babies and small children kept drugged and caved to control them. Garth found he had an extreme reaction to one of the children, a reaction he could not explain, and has never forgotten not stopped looking for her. Sent out of town on a mission he runs into a young woman Nicolette who immediately entrances him and he finds himself helpless to resist her ,even though she's human. Unfortunately Garths evil twin Grim who works for the Corporation is also watching her, Garth thinks she's just a bit ditzy when she keeps.talking about him changing clothes and braiding his hair not realising that Grim is playing some murderous game which he plans to finish by killing Nicolette in front of him. Can Garth realise what is happening in time to save Nicolette that's the question. I really enjoy this series i especially love the camaraderie between all the characters.
Garth Ingersson is a shifter Viking and grew up is a very brutal family. He loves weapons and is trying to make up for the terrible things he’s done to survive and for the terrible things his evil twin brother is still doing.
In spite of having different personalities, Nicolette and Clara have been best friends ever since at age four they were adopted to different families and moved next to each other. After Clara’s parents were murdered, they two girls moved into an apartment together, but Nicolette keeps making strange ‘what if?s about odd situations, special powers and eternity.
Too much internal monologue and silly battering. A little goes a long way and is better for the story. This just get you bored and skipping pages to get to the real stuff. But there was plenty to make me smile and laugh.
Footnote: 1) I love those health drinks, only mind is greener.
2) If we get any more of these mates pregnant before some have their babies, there’s going to be a busy birthing time with most of the men unable to go out and fight and family get togethers are going to be fun.
Fave scenes: Garth & the beautiful little girl, ‘Stop being a hunk’, the little kids taking care of Garth and the Viking cupcake & eye spoon.
Wow! I love love this series!! Act of Brotherhood is the story of Garth the wolf-shifter and how he meets his match!
SPOILERS are included and I'm sorry but this book was so thrilling it's hard to know what to write and not. Trust me this book is truly awesome!
SPOILERS.....last warning!
A day that will stick in Garth's head forever happened 20 years ago during the capture of a scumbag. While searching the house, the PSI's locate a hidden level held unspeakable horrors...a lab, a breeding section and finally a nursery with children some as young as 6 months. The kids were all malnourished and most were drugged but luckily they were able to be helped. Searc from the Fang Gang finds a little girl locked in a closet and she was in dire straits. Garth can't understand why is having such a need to protect her. Nicolette's bestfriend Clara told her she was boring..she didn't eat junk food, she didn't drink (much), she certainly didn't bring strange men home she didn't know and she's a preschool teacher. Nicolette bumps into a very hot guy one night and decides to have a one night stand but then she realises that she really wants MORE!! Garth knows there is something special about Nicolette but doesn't realise how special until it might be too late.
Vikings ahoy! What do you get when you take one drop dead sexy, Alpha male Viking shifter and add in an eclectic mix of shifters, vampires and Fae? A fantabulous read!
Garth has been through the wringer recently, finding out your brother is Evil Incarnate can do that to a chap! But when he is sent off to a babysitting job, he bumps into the lovely Nicolette. She is everything he shouldn't want; human, deals with children and has an unhealthy taste for grey goop!
The story starts with Garth and his team finding a group of children from the Asia Project and the weird reaction garth and Auberi have to one particular little girl. Fast forward 2 decades and the that little girl is about to do what no one else could - make Auberi and Garth cooperate!
Grid is lurking and some of the scenes with him are quite chilling. Similarly the scenes with the children made me tear up. I loved the interaction between all the Ops guys and Auberi and Garth are totally oil and water. My loyalties are divided between Gram and Striker as to who is my favourite Scot. Got to be patriotic and make them my funniest Ops guys!
Overall enjoyable but not the best thought out plot. Way to similar to Maliks story in how these idiot men think and behave in not recognising their mates, then shifting out and being kept away from the supposed human woman. This is mentioned by Garth in that he doesn’t want to do a Malik. But he does. Found it silly that Nicolette had been kept in the dark and had no idea about paranormals. Stupid of her UNCLE not preparing her to defend herself. Just doesn’t make sense to me. Even her best friend/flatmate Clara knew and didn’t tell her. How is that sensible knowing she may need to protect herself one day. Would have rather Nicolette knew how to kick a**. The banter between all the men and the reasoning that Auberi and Garth hated each other was good. Garth was a bit slow on the uptake about his evil twin being around. He was warned his brother was after his mate but he doesn’t put Nicolette talking about seeing him previously and him hiding behind the tree together until too late. The wrong name is used at one point. Garth instead of Grid. Glad Edee got her revenge against Grid. Read through Kindle Unlimited.

It's the Vikings time!!!!!!! I absolutely loved this book!!!! I love this series!!!!! So emotional, fast paced and full of action this book is a great addition to the series. Mandy M. Roth never disappoints!!!! I loved the rivalry between Garth and Grid and was heartbroken. There are some amazing twists and turns in the plot that only verifies the ability of the writer to keep us to our toes and have us glued to her stories
If you have seen my reviews for Mandy's books, you'll know that I absolutely love her. There is a fine line between love and stalk. I may have crossed that line many, many times. And will continue to do so. This is one of my favorite series, and I really look forward to the next installment. This is Garth's and Nicolette's story. They meet when she is a child and then again 20 years later. His intense pull towards her scares him enough that he runs out into the street naked. Right after they, well...got naked. While he is dealing with those crazy shifter emotions, his twin..evil twin, Grid, has plans of his own. I received the ARC for this book on Sunday night at 9 pm. Luckily, I didn't have to work on Monday, because I stayed up and read this. This is a MUST read. If you haven't read this series, you should. Try the audios as well...Mason Lloyd is the narrator for most and I adore him.
This story starts 20 years ago when garth an immoral wolf shifter is working for the paranormal security and intelligence (PSI) on a mission and finds a secret lab full of kid but on little girl semi to have caught his and his wolfs attention then she got sick and a vampire gave her his blood, all hell broke loose and he never saw the little girl again.
Present day. Nicolette is a school and lives with her best friend Clara. While on the out side thier lives may look normal they are far from it. One day nicolette runs into Garth and her whole world is turned upside down. OMG OMG THIS IS AWESOME. Funniest story ever so full of action, drama, betrayal, mystery, intrigue, crazyness and so much more. I love the interaction of the characters thier hysterical. I couldn't put it down and didn't want it to end! It's awesome! Voluntarily reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it.
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Garth. I love that Ms. Roth gave us his history so that we could better understand where he was coming from. His brother, twin at that, was as far from good as one could be and Garth had to accept that he could no longer help him. And he was not expecting Nicolette. And boy was she not expecting Garth. Garth allowed the sassy, sexy femme fatale to make an entrance, the one she never knew she had. I love that Garth allowed a different and more carefree Nicolette to open her heart. I found myself chuckling out loud at the antics of Garth and Auberi. You would think that males as old as they were would find a way past their issues but the enjoyment their friends had at their expense was hysterical. Ms. Roth again gives us a well written and enjoyable read. It is full of love, laughter and kick-ass action. I can't wait to see where she will take us next in this wonderful world she has created.
Once again Ms. Roth has surprised me by how she brings characters back together, The ancient ones as I call them saved their mates years ago when they were being held by The Corporation. What I loved about this was that the vampire doesn't know he is a father and the daughter's mate turns out to be the viking wolf he doesn't like. In the past the wolf stopped the viking from ending his twin's life for his evilness. Neither knows in the beginning yet by the end of the story their enmity towards one another will have begun a bridge due to their love of a daughter and a mate.
I have problems with names so I use their second identities to indicate the characters of which I refer, my apologies. As for this series it is awesomesauce to me as Ms. Roth just takes me away to a world of make believe. I voluntarily read an advance copy and have not been compensated in any way for this opinion.
Holly hell! Another fantastic I-Ops world books. Be prepared to laugh to the point of tears. Hello... this is a PSI-Ops book here. Make sure to have a cold drink handy due to the scorching heat. There are twist and things happen that are not really expected and left me looking forward to the next book in the series. Garth has been around for over 1,000 years and he has pretty much given up on a having a mate. Nicolette is a preschool teacher that is more than meets the eye. There is also more to these two then just a run in encounter outside of a bakery. Can they beat the past that has inserted itself into their life? Can Garth control his beast and not harm Nicolette? Humor, violence, hot sex, and a hatred among brothers... what else could you want?
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I have been reading the I-Ops series since the beginning and I have proceeded to read all of the spin-offs, and their are certain operatives that I have been patiently waiting for and I'm sure fans of the I-Ops series and spin-offs know who I'm talking about. Every time a book is released I get hopeful that maybe this will be the one but so far I have only gotten 5 that I had to read and the others I get mere glimpses into their lives and I hunger even more for their book. Garth and Nicolette's book was an amazing read I loved every minute of her quirkiness and his alphaness, but it gave me yet another glimpse into 2 people's books I cannot wait for. While Ms Roth keeps giving us amazing stories every new glimpse is driving me nuts lol but I love every book that is released and I know eventually I will get the stories I want. Great read and the evil twin angle was genius.
This is Garth’s story and him meeting his mate Nicolette whilst on a job in Savannah. He literally bumps into her, ending up with cupcakes all over him, and is instantly attracted to her. A quiet, clumsy but instinctive school teacher for three year olds, she’s a natural with the kids, and Garth finds himself following her round, smitten. Part of the narrative also includes his evil twin Grid. This was one of my favourites, with lots of humour thrown into this one, especially the centuries old feud between Garth and Auberi. Nicolette might appear quiet, but she’s so much more, as is Clara, her best friend. The Viking research for Garth’s character also feels accurate plus we see the impact of the last book on Gram, and Striker behaving well, around Edee.
Every book I read in this series, I think Mandy Roth has outdone herself and can't top what I just read. Every book I read in this series, she proves me wrong! I have no idea how her books can keep getting better since I personally think she's one of the best writers out there. I knew from the last book when Garth played a role in it that, I couldn't wait to read his story. I knew his back story had to be good, but I didn't think it would draw me in like it did! From the very beginning, I couldn't put it down until I finished it. There were times where I wanted to yell at Garth and Nicolette to pay attention, but that just made it more real! Mandy Roth knocked it outta the park again and I thank her immensely!!
Wolf shifter Garth has kept vigil by the hospital bedside of his best friend Gram. To get him to leave, Garth has been sent to Savannah pick up a prisoner. There he runs in to preschool teacher, Nicolette. The two share an instant attraction to each other and end up sharing a bed.
Lurking in the shadows is Garth's evil twin brother, Grid. He and his evil cohorts from The Corporation are planning to kidnap Nicolette and her best friend Clara.
What a fantastic ride! I LOVE this group of good guy supernaturals! They love hard and deep. They banter. They fight with each other. But when the going gets dangerous, they are there for each other. I highly recommend this book. Grab it today!
This is a great book; this is the sixth book in the Importal Ops: PSI- Ops series written by Mandy Roth. Captain Garth Ingersson is in charge of Paranormal Security and Intelligence Agency Special Ops Team Eight. Its a position he didn't originally want, but one he has grown to accept. The men who look to him to lead are like brothers to him. Especially since he and his twin brother had a falling out years ago. Much has changed for this ancient Viking over the centuries, but one thing remains the same--never thinking he has a true mate. This six-and-half-foot-tall Scandinavian is about to have his world turned upside down. This book will keep you up reading way past your bedtime because you will not want to put it down. I can’t wait to read the next book by this great author.
The opening had me wishing someone talked to me like Garth talked to his weapons. H. O. T. The similarities to Roy's back story, made me want to go back and read that one again. This is a longer story, which I appreciated, but I did wish there would have been a little bit more at the end, a little "Landros, you got some splainin to do" more. But my hope is we will see some of that in a future novel. This novel is a wonderful interlude story. What I call a book that is great in its own right but I find it has my interest more peaked for the future books about other characters. Specifically Landros, Auberi and Gram. Once again though, Mrs. Roth does not disappoint. Once I started reading it I couldn't put it down.
Here is another masterful PSI story and each one just keeps getting better and better. I always look forward to and love reading her latest PSI endeavor. Garth faces the unique dilemma of go hunting down the upfront villain of this story which is his twin Darian aka/Dare. While on this journey his fellow PSI members make great appearances to add tension and laughs as only Ms. Roth can create; especially Striker. Little does Garth realize that the 3YOA girl he helped saved 20 years b/f will be his undoing in the future. He has never forgotten little Nicolette. But I shouldn't use the term "undoing" as she is so much more. Just read this book to learn all the answers.
For my voluntary and honest review I was given an ARC of this story.
