That is quite possibly one of the best fic's I've ever read. And that says something, at least to me, as I've read a *lot* of fic's.
It ticks all my boxes. Sport, big love, good feels, great story, fantastic dialog, just everything. And it probably has me shipping Krashlyn quite a bit now. SuperCorp and Clexa are gonna need to nudge over a bit to make room on my kindle I think.
It also got me to thinking about my GR tags. I don't have nearly the good feels tags I should. 80% of my tags are negative. I think it says something about the state of lesfic over the last few years. Break ups, bad feels, miserable MC's, MC's treating each other like crap. That just doesn't work for me and I can't stand it (and makes me wonder at the people that love it). It's why I stopped writing reviews. They're all the same.
Maybe I'll just write reviews on books that I actually *like*... lol. We'll see.
But this book. I loved everything about it. The Smith College traditions were soooooooo cool. All the screen time on the Rugby pitch was awesome (I played some in my youth, so there's that...). At least Ash doesn't end up going up against a 350 lb Samoan like I did, lol. (I lost).
Probably one of the best endings ever too, gotta throw that out there. She says there should be a part 2 to this, but is taking a break due to her wife having a son (probably a couple years ago now) so I can only hope it comes around. She's written a 600K word behemoth that I'm probably going to tackle, but seriously this one took me 4 days at 300K. I need a break, lol.
I was glad I stumbled on this while stalking my Goodreads friends free online tags for something to read. This is a long, sugary sweet, romance. And while I really did love it, I had to read it in doses as not much breaks up the happy, sex driven, couple. I will say that I follow women's soccer but I dont really follow anything off the field so I had no idea about all the Ali Ash thing. I creeped online and they really do make a beautiful couple. Anyway, I enjoued it, though I do wish for just a little more drama, and would gladly read the sequel once it comes out.
