A rare blip in what has been a straight upward curve for me on this series, sees the volume get a rounded down Three Star, 7.5 out of 12, although it might just be a case of my expectations have risen over time... or it might just be a case of none of the chapters in this volume featuring fan, and my favourite Hitomi? Volume highlights are more use of Mao, and Yakuza Nitta finding himself under the support and aid, unwittingly(!) of Hina. Also, has Hina got the sort of temperament to have relationship the Yakuza don't think so!!!

This volume really leverages the supporting cast with some connections and developments occurring in their relationships with themselves and with the main characters. Hina actually uses her powers effectively in a couple chapters to support Nitta. And some new villains are introduced toward the end to perhaps give a little more form to the overarching story.

Part of the appeal of this series for me personally is the recurring theme of fathers and daughter, not just with the main character and her adoptive yakuza father, but in all the father figures who dote over the young telekinetic women in a proud and protective manner. And the series hits a nice balance, making fun of it as much as it exploits it for drama.

Anzu is still precious, and Hina is... actually using her psychic powers more! 90% of the chapters in this were about the psychic powers, which is nice. I feel like this series forgot about the psychic powers for a bit but now we got Hina and Nitta using them for greater personal gain which I can't help but feel is gonna bite them in the ass sooner or later.

Very funny stories as usual. The manga seems to be overusing the oblivious-Nitta-being-very-impressive for last many volumes at this point. It’s still funny, though. This volume did mention an important plot point about Hina and others with psychokinetic powers. So I’m guessing that will get relevant in the upcoming volumes.

Definitely starting to drag a little bit as it feels kind of aimless. Still love spending time with these characters though.
