Drawn Together is a story borne out of the Author's years of research into one English County's Asylum records, which are formidably still extant from the mid-19th Century. All the characters are fictitious, even though the Superintendent is very much how a certain man once was. The plot unfolds between Comfort, a long-term asylum patient and eventually two other characters who arrive from a distant village in the same county. Why is Comfort, seemingly an introvert, eventually so drawn towards one of these new arrivals, a vicar's daughter?
