Buena adaptación del poema tradicional que narra la expulsión de Adan y Eva del paraíso después de haber sido engañados por Satanás en forma de serpiente para comer del árbol del conocimiento.

First and foremost you should know that MY Bible is the His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. No piece of literature has pierced my soul like those books. I don't want to spoil anything in case someone who has not had the pleasure of reading them is somehow reading this, so I'll just say that it is a response to Narnia through the lens of Paradise Lost. In fact, the title is a direct quote from this poem.
So it is no brainer that I, a Pullman devotee, would want to know the source of inspiration for his magnum opus. But the thing is, that epic poem is written in old English, and, as you might have guessed it, English is not my first language. So the original text is not something that I, with my current skills, can tackle. But you know what IS something I can handle? A manga adaptation in my own language.
I can't compare it to the original, since I just told you I haven't read it. But I can surely say that I can perfectly see where Pullman took inspiration from. It's beautiful. I feel like I have seen behind the curtain. I have bitten the fruit and gained knowledge.
Thank you Mr. Pullman, for avenging Eva through Lyra. For stating how the thirst for knowledge and the overwhelming need to love are not sins, but virtues. I love your books even more now. As if that were possible. I am an atheist, and very adamant about it, but I would build an altar in your name.

Excelente libro. El protagonista de la historia resulta ser Lucifer, el único que es capaz de rebelarse ante el poder absoluto. Se discute sobre la libertad y el libre albedrío ¿Existe libertad si hay un ser todopoderoso que controla todo a nuestro alrededor? ¿Será la rebelión de Lucifer un plan más de Dios? ¿Por qué tentar a los seres humanos con el conocimiento y no otorgárselo? ¿cuál es el sentido de los seres humanos en la historia? ¿Adán y Eva solo se convierten en humanos en el momento en que pecan?
Lo único que me saca del ambiente de la historia es el lenguaje demasiado religioso, pero se comprende, debido a la obra original que es un poema épico.

No conocía ni la obra original. Me pareció muy interesante. El autor retoma la narración bíblica y propone la ficción de lo que no se dice en la Biblia. Explora (o detalla) las causas, las circunstancias de la expulsión de Adán y Eva del paraíso.
La calidad de la ilustración, el trabajo artístico, es de primera calidad.

Una epopeya bíblica basada en el “pecado” de Adán y Eva y la caída del ángel al infierno. Un manga muy bonito estéticamente, pero es una historia bíblica (machista, vamos), y no es mi estilo.

Pues una interesante adaptación a historieta del poema de Milton. Obviamente la diferencia de formato y la adaptación en diálogos pues no va a dar el mismo efecto de la obra original.
