I am happy to call the San Francisco Bay Area home, where I lives with my husband, two kids, one dog and three cats. I started writing at an early age, but have only been writing novels for the past five years. I love the idea of love conquering all, and that is what drove me to begin the Great Escapes series, where the reader follows couples meeting up in exotic locations around the world. In this series, each book is a stand-alone, and each can be read in any order.

But readers, be forewarned, there is a healthy amount of steam in these books!

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you enjoy Great Escapes!

A really enjoyable read for me, largely due to the overseas travel through Peru, the widowed heroine's backstory, and the excellent quality of the writing and editing. The twist given to hero Liam's previous relationship also raised this story above the ordinary. Likable secondary characters (fellow travelers, heroine's family) brought some humor in as well.

This is not the first Charlotte Blake 💛romance I've read and it definitely won't be the last!

I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.

Voluntary review of an ARC. Very enjoyable romance. Well written and characters are very likeable and believable. The first half almost reads like a travelogue, but I liked learning a lot of facts about Peru. I did feel, though, that at times the story hinted about things that never happened. Like for instance, why was Margaret so often sick and what was with the identical nightmares? Once I stopped looking for a hidden subplot, I enjoyed the romance. Recommended for all the romantics out there.

Margaret has lost Sam the love of her life to cancer and this is the story of finding herself while completing his bucket list to celebrate his life. Liam has signed up to hike the highest mountain in Peru after a bad break up and clear his head and get some perspective. Hiking buddies for ten days. Let the healing begin.

I read and ARC copy of this.

I enjoyed this book. It was sad that both of them experienced loss. However, they both were able to find happiness again. Which was a wonderful thing. I was glad that they both were able to find it again. Even if it took some time and hard work to get there.

I thought it was an okay read. After her husband's death, Margaret decides to check things off her bucket list. It leads her to Cusco and Liam. It read very staccato due to the 3rd person writing and just the author's voice.

No very much action

More of an introspective novel with a predictable ending. Only read because was free. No real ghosts, so a click bait teaser.
