Malorie Cooper likes to think of herself as a dreamer and a wanderer, yet her feet are firmly grounded in reality.
A ‘maker’ from an early age, Malorie loves to craft things, from furniture, to cosplay costumes, to a well-spun tale, she can’t help but to create new things every day.
A rare extrovert writer, she loves to hang out with readers and people in general. If you meet her at a convention, she just might be rocking a catsuit, cosplaying one of her own characters, or maybe her latest favorite from Overwatch!
She shares her home with a brilliant young girl, her wonderful wife (who also writes), a cat that chirps at birds, a never-ending list of things she would like to build, and ideas…
These books are have a super fast pace. The stories are awesome but I always want MORE, MORE, MORE! Seriously, every single story in this series has been great. The authors have been able to keep the pace fast and the storylines right and action-filled! For the full effect you need to start from the beginning but each is an excellent book all by itself.
Author M.D. Cooper brings us Rika's next adventure as she and her Marauders take on the Nietzschean Empire. While fighting on a world called Kansas Rika and her stealth scout and friend Leslie are taken aboard an enemy ship and taken to a black site. At that site which happens to be a rouge planet with a string of moons around it and orbital shipyards they find out that if they had pushed passed them these ships would've been launched and taken them out from behind. But that's not all as the AI that runs the system rebels and sides with Rika. I won't give away the ending but this is a great book and I highly recommend it for all science fiction fans.

Rika Marauders-Rika Infiltrator Forward Something that's always a bit fun with the books that are being narrated is that I'm often listening to a book that is two or three releases behind the one I'm writing.
It's hard to believe that Rika's journey started only a scant fifteen monts ago, on Dekar station- on that fateful day she was sold at auction to an unknown buyer. While it was arguably the lowest point in her life, it was also the event that turned everything around for her.
When she woke, she was on Pyra, a planet that would play a pivotal role in the next year of her life. There, she met Team Basilisk, a Marauder spec-ops group that had been tasked wis assassinating the Theban president.
While Rika spearheaded that operation, she never completed the mission, unable to kill President Ariana. It was then that we learned what Rika was really made of.
Rika continuing to grow into a great leader here. Even if makes mistakes at times, she owns them and rectifies them, and doesn't lose the trust of those around her. Compared to the previous novel, more of the other mechs also get to shine here, and you see quite what a formidable force they can be when allowed to be. Good action and suspense in the book, with nothing drawn out too long. One slight cliffhanger at the end will be interesting to see how it goes, as I still can't quite work out what is going on there :)
Probably closer to 3-1/2 stars, but I’m rounding up. I was a little concerned about the stories becoming too formulaic, and in some ways they are, but there is still plenty of new twists and enough character development for Rika to keep it enjoyable and interesting. She’s starting to ponder some moral and philosophical questions about who she is and what she is doing. She’s a killer, but not being a murderer. Remembering that the enemy soldiers are people, too.
Once again we our hero Rika taking the fight to the Nietzscheans, but a small issue of getting captured throws a different spin on things. As we was expecting Alice has it appears shown her true colours, and I would not like to be in her shoes when Rika and the Marauders catch up with her. Looking forward to the next book.
This story was another wonderful adventure for Rika and her people. They accomplished a whole lot of K.A.T.N. and Rika and Leslie even managed to hold their own little party. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book.
As always, the book kept me at the edge of my seat. I was shocked at some points, and I had to put the book down several times because I was crying so bad I had to get up to get tissues. I had a great time reading it and am looking forward to Precipice of Darkness. Onward I go!
It is an absolutely amazing thrill ride. You won't want to put it down till then end. Between laughing at the Mech antics and yelling at the enemies you will be pleased
Another fantastic read!! Already preordered the next one!! Can’t wait to see what more happens!! I would really not want to be Alice!! Read to find out what happens!!
Should be called Rika: Dumbass. The entire plot is based on her idiotically walking into an ambush and then being carried away in a net. Any "infiltration" is accidental.
After a couple pretty good books, Cooper has returned to his bread and butter plot-devices: ambush, hesitation, and betrayal.
