Pressure is the new normal for Teddy Sinatra. As the oldest son and heir-apparent to take over the Sinatra Crime Family, the underworld, his men, and his siblings all expect perfection from him. His father, the king of mob bosses Mick Sinatra, is very much still in the game and expects his son to be worthy to someday take his place. But when a misunderstanding goes horribly wrong, and Teddy is blamed for the carnage, mob families take sides against the Sinatras. Teddy and Mick must join forces in a survival of the fittest unlike any the underworld has ever seen. But it is a risky move that will either forever cement the Sinatra family as top dog- and Teddy as its’ future head, or forever destroy all his father worked to achieve.
At the same time the pressure is mounting on Teddy, African-American barmaid Nikki Tarver is in a pressure cooker of her own and is in a fight for her survival too. She only spent time with Teddy once, when he was in LA on business, but when her life turns upside down she has no recourse but to call on him. And although Nikki runs to Teddy for help, it is Nikki, with her toughness, and with her tender love and care, who ends up helping Teddy.
In the first installment of the Teddy Sinatra interracial romance series, Teddy and Nikki, with a needed assist from Mick Sinatra, find out just what is required of them to climb that ladder to the big-time, and to stay there.

Teddy Sinatra is the underboss, second in command of his father Mick Sinatra the Don of the Sinatra Family. Teddy has always been the silent child, handling his business and minding his business, while taking care of his younger siblings at the same time. But being the underboss is starting to wear and tear on Teddy because this is his life now and it is the same thing, day in and day out which feels to him like there is no escape and he is drowning in it. The only bright spot for him is when he crossed paths with a woman in LA name Nikki Tarver, who helped his family out tremendously when his stepmother Roz was brutally assaulted. After returning to Philadelphia, he stayed in contact with her via telephone until his life amped up again where there was no time at all to even talk with her.
Nikki Tarver has not had an easy life, not by a long shot but the one thing she is not is a quitter, she has her integrity intact and will not compromise, even when others have repeatedly let her down including her deadbeat dad. But the one thing she had at least for a little while is hearing the voice of Teddy Sinatra every night, someone she was able to talk to and he listened which was such a rarity for her and she was excited about speaking to him until suddenly he stopped calling and Nikki just took it as a sign like all of the other times in her life that it just wasn't going to work out for her. But when an attempted assault happened to her in her apartment, Nikki turned to the one person she believed would help her out, she made the call and not only did Teddy answer, he came running to her immediately.
Teddy and Nikki's story was so fantastic because Teddy is different from his Dad, uncles, and cousins. He is an underboss but his mouth is not rough like the rest of his family (well except Big Daddy Sinatra, his mouth isn't rough at all). Teddy is an anomaly, he is incredibly sweet and kind to Nikki and it speaks to his desire to not only want to be in a relationship with a real woman but is not afraid to show it, this is what I love about him. Nikki is the same way, she wasn't trying to play games or be coy with him, she is a straight shooter that knew how to stand with her man without apology. They are my favorite couple now and I just love them so much and can't wait to read their next story.
Joey, Joey, Joeyyyyyy...When is this dude going to grow up?!?! I mean seriously!!! Honestly, I am rooting for Joey to get his act together and who knows he may be the one person that will blow all of our minds, just is desperate for affection and attention and his self-esteem is zero, so Joey is going to need a whole lot of work and patience to boot. But let me tell you something, if author Mallory Monroe can turn Salvatore Gabrini around (which I didn't like him when he was first introduced) and how we all love him now, I know for a fact that the author has some serious stuff up her sleeve for Joey's life to be turned completely around. Oh Yes!!!
Mallory you've done it well again. I loved the Teddy and Nikki spin off in the Sinatra chain of love. I think Nick needed to see his son find love.someone has solid as Roz. I totally recommend this book to all your mom boss fans.
In the last Mick book, Heat Wave, Teddy and Nikki met in a hotel bar in California right before Roz was almost killed. Mick couldn't get to the hospital in time and the powers that be at the hospital wouldn't tell Teddy anything about Roz. By the time Tommy arrived, Nikki got one of the nurses to allow them to see Roz.
After Teddy went back to Philadelphia, he called Nikki often. Then the calls stopped. She tried calling him but her calls went unanswered or unreturned. We didn't hear anymore about Nikki and Teddy until this book. Only a couple of weeks had passed in book time. Things went from bad to worse for Nikki. Finally, something unimaginable happened. No one would help her - not her father or her ex-husband. She called Teddy out of desperation. After she told him what happened, he agreed to come to California to help her. After resolving her problem, he took her back to Philadelphia to give her an alibi, if needed.
Nikki and Teddy became a true Sinatra couple. She fit in easily with Teddy's family. Her ex and father were gangsters though she wasn't a part of it. She was just used to that lifestyle and wasn't put off by Teddy's family business. Because of Joey and his crew and their lies, Teddy was involved in some things he didn't know the entire truth about. Of course, Mick blamed Teddy because Mick had put him in charge. Things went downhill pretty quickly but Nikki proved she was the strong woman Teddy needed in his life. She proved this, by her actions, to the rest of his family including Mick. Big Daddy, Reno and Sal show up when needed, as usual. They handled business with Teddy in charge. Reno and Sal went at each other which wasn't as funny as it once was.
This was a good book. Nikki was not as well-developed as she should have been. There was not enough back story for Nikki. Some questions were not answered. For example, why did her father and ex-husband think she gave evidence against them? How was Mick and Teddy able to find out the truth about her so easily when her ex-husband and father accepted lies? Will Joey ever grow up or will Teddy leave his termination in place? Will it take Nikki and Teddy as long to marry as it did Sal and From a or will they ever marry? Perhaps in future stories, we'll find out the answers. Surely, it won't take several books before these questions and others are answered.
Nikki Tarver turned out to be the ride or die chick for Teddy. Poor Nikki had gone through hell. First was an acrimonious divorce, a demotion at work, an attempted rape, now she may serve the rest of her life in prison for what she did. No one would help her, not her father, not her ex-husband, but Teddy Sinatra came to her rescue. She knew when she saw one,Teddy was gangster, she recognized gangster, her father was one and her ex-husband Damon was his right hand man. But she was drawn to him anyway. She could not understand why he was still single.
Teddy was at a point in his life where he was feeling overwhelmed with being his father, Mick the Tick Sinatra's under boss. He was incredibly lonely and felt that no one had his back. He was always fighting other people's battles. Nikki fit him like a hand in a glove. She was perfect for him but he was afraid of bringing her into his lifestyle. She was beautiful, curvy, brave, an strong with incredible street smarts. She was tried by fire, as his father and Tommy Sinatra said to do and she passed the test and now he was holding on to her with all he had. As long as he had Nikki by his side, he could weather any storm as long as they could do it together. Even his father Mick liked her and that was saying a lot, especially after what she did for him.
Mallory Monroe always writes wonderful stories full of drama and action with plot twists that leave one scratching one's head. She did not disappoint with this tale of new found love of Teddy and Nikki. I can see a lot of future stories to come from this couple and I'm anxiously awaiting to see what kind of drama they will bring. I really enjoyed reading this story and highly recommend it.
This is a must read. I savored every word in this book. I love Nikki. Teddy and Nikki are great together. I couldn't stop smiling and cheering them on. Nikki is strong, smart, lovely and take no crap. Teddy now can come out of the shadow of his father. He needed a woman like Nick as he calls her. I loved this story. Mallory you not only knocked this book out the ball park, you hit a home run. Thanks for making my day. I love the cover.!!!!!!! Teddy is one delicious looking man. Lol. Until the next installment of Gabrini family or Sinatra family I will be stalking Amazon books.
Like father like son...Teddy inherited his father sense of loyalty....his commitment...his strength...his good looks...and oh yeah...the serious size of the packaging...one that causes you to walk bow legs for days...pain and pleasure makes Nikki a made woman....a role which she gladly accepted...can someone please please handle Joey...he's a hot mess...even Gloria is upping her game..getting back in the good graces of Mick....meanwhile Joey still can't find his way out of a paper bag..he's kinda like Trump Jr...dumb as a pair of shoes....I mean a shoe...sheesh..
I am glad to see Teddy with his own story, first of all. Being a strong 💪 black woman born and raised in the ghetto with a college degree and some travel under my belt,I don't feel that Ms Monroe writes her heroines for me. I luv all the series she has written but for me the women are very stupid and leeches, maybe Gemma has some sense but not much. Sure Nikki has been thru a lot father and husband what have you, that alone should have motivated her out of there, being 30years old and working in a bar as your sole support should have been the wake ⏰up call...but come on Ms Monroe you don't have to be a black ghetto hood rat to be a strong woman. Remember Jesse Jackson said,I may have been born in the ghetto but it wasn't born in me. Cut a sister a break and write about a gal that is strong and almost is living her own dream and the man, well he knows how to be a man and not feel threatened by her.
Great introduction into Teddy's story. It was nice to finally meet him. He is Mick but he is also his own man. I cannot wait to read more about Teddy and Nikki. I hope this is a series that will continue. I will never get tired of the Sinatra's or Reno or Sal or Amelia or any of of the rest of them. I'm a fan for life, as long as Ms. Monroe doesn't mess up these books the way she did Tommy. I still cannot read a Tommy novel bc I hate Grace. Why did she mess up his story line?. Forcing me to stop reading his novels. Anywho, I have digressed now back on topic. Great read. LOVED IT! Cannot wait for the next installment. Nor can I wait for any of books about this family to cone out. I pyrchase all of them, regardless of cost and before I read the description. I know I'm gonna be highly entertained. Anywho, if you haven't read this, read it. If you are not familiar with the Sinatra-Gibrini family, become familiar. You Won't Be Disappointed. Also, on a side note, if you haven't read the Alex Drakos novels, CHECK them out. Now that I have gone all over the place with this review, I have to say, Mick remains my all time, fav book series hubby. 1 love me some Mick but Teddy just might earn the #2 slot if his stories continue to get better.
Out of all of Mick’s children, Teddy is my favorite. I’m so glad Ms. Monroe wrote a book about him.
Teddy is dealing with the ins and outs of his family business and his legal business. The stress is getting to the point to where he’s having nightmares. On top of that, Teddy is lonely. Nikki is back in LA and is dealing with a boss who is trying to pimp her out and a superintendent who attempts to rape her. She calls Teddy and he does what he does best, protect her. He takes Nikki back to Phili with him.
The only thing I didn’t like about this story was that everyone kept bringing up Nikki’s weight. I didn’t see the point of that. She was different from the “norm” and Teddy loved that about her.
One stone left unturned for me; we know that Malidec had his partner contact the FBI about Nikki but we don’t know the outcome of that. Will we see that in a future story?
Ms. Monroe, you did it again. You wrote a suspenseful, action packed drama filled with humor story. Family and love is where it’s at.
I can't tell you what a wonderful day it was when I discovered Ms Monroe 's books. I all but count down the time for the next book. None have failed me yet
Thank You, Thank You!Finally Teddy gets his ride or die.I loved this story from beginning to end .This family and the dynamics of them is changing and evolving and its so very good to see.I love that Nikki is not and does not fall into the mold of what Teddy's girlfriend should be and look like.I say yeah to Ms.Mallory for getting it right the first time.I love that Mick is changing and his edges are getting a little less rougher. There is going to be so much more to Teddy and Nikki's story,it is going to be so juicy! Also I know most people want Joey to grow up and mature, well I think he will and I also see him going in another direction.I think Joey would thrive with Big Daddy or maybe his aunt Amelia.I think his story is coming and I think its going to be so good. This book definitely needs to be added to your library and collection if you are following the Sinatra's,I know I am.Also I know the drum has been beat a few times on the subject of Tommy and Grace ,but I still think that Sticks would have been better. Not that I've got that out of my system, let me say I,want more of Teddy and Nikki !
The book was ok. The author needs to make future books more believable. Stick to realistic situations. The hero needs to be more of a romantic hero who knows how to take care of his love interest. Cherish her, romanticize her. Have the reader fall in love with him. More detailed steamy sex story lines. Make hot, passionate toe curling love scenes. Less insulting of ethnicity and disrespect of women. Treat her like a lady. Get out of the ghetto and keep it respectful, if you want to keep readers. This book is a one time read for me.
Ted steps out of the shadow that is Mick and he brings Nikki with him. Read how Ted views himself and how he reacts to the needs of his family is was interesting to see how Nikki step right in and when to work. In other versions of Ms Monroe's work you see more romancing and the courtship side of the men and their ladies, Ted does this but the family helps to smooth things over for him. Ted's first venture into a relationship appears to be a winner.
I love Teddy, he is definitely his father's son. And Nikki is going to be his partner in crime, and queen of hearts. This was as with all the stories in this series is awesome. Joey...what is wrong with that boy?! When will he finally grow up? He's starting to get on my nerves. I can't believe he tried to go against his brother. Glad that Teddy fired his ass!!! Cannot wait for the next book. Love this series👌💛
A Very Good and Suspenseful Interracial Romantic Thriller
Teddy Sinatra: ,Chains For Love is a very good and suspenseful romantic thriller that earned a rating of five stars. Teddy Senatra finally found love with Nikki Garber in this fast pace and exciting romantic thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It was just as good as all the other Sinatra series and I would recommend it to everyone who enjoys reading very good romantic thrillers.
Let me start off by saying I love Teddy and Nikki together. They are an awesome couple and the definitely work. What I was not too pleased with was her constantly mentioning her size and the blaring grammar mistakes. Ms. Monroe, please hire another editor. You’re too big in the IR game to have these issues. With that said, book 2 is already purchased. I love Nikki’s swag, and I can’t wait to see how Joey will answer for his misdeeds.
Teddy and Nikki together are a force to be reckoned with..Anything going on around Teddy, Nikki was able to back him up as if they were of one mind! Miz Monroe, i have to say outdid herself on this one...action from the beginning to the end...my new favorite couple...WOW! Let me go read this again!
Teddy grew up and got himself a real women. I am so happy for this new series and I love Nikki. She is a strong woman. Doesn't take any mess and that's what Teddy needs. I loved how this new story came together but I'm biased because I've been following Mallory Monroe from the first Mob Boss book and I've yet to miss any. Can't wait for the next one!
This was one of the best books it was nice to see Teddy take the lead and Nikki is my kind of tough lady. Nikki handled business! I would like to find out more of what happened in the kids childhoods i.e the relationship with Teddy and his mother. Thank You Ms. Monroe for a wonderful read.
This story has it all intrigue , drama, romance even comic relief. This is one of the best spinoffs from Mallory Monroe. I really like Nikki and Teddy we get to see in a better light. I loved that Ms. Monroe told the story and what an adventure. Excellent get this book.
This Author has a command over her characters they appear the same but are distinctly unique in their differences. There's every emotion and exciting moments throughout holds your interest and leaves you biding your time waiting for more! Step up the pace of publication we're (,fans) waiting for installations📚 on any one of your characters. Your good 👍!!
OK, this one has to be the best one so far! first off, the female lead is not a tiny bone thin female but an actual woman of substance. And, the male lead it’s not someone looking for a tiny woman! In addition, their love story has actual depth through it and to it! I look forward to hearing more about this couple.
I cannot wait for more Teddy books. I’m in love with Nikky! She is just the bad girl we’ve been waiting on. I love the team/partner aspect of the relationship. Forget the other wives...I’m Team Nikky
Finally Teddy has a woman and what a woman she is!
I love Teddy and Nikki together. She isn't the typical Sinatra or Gabrini woman. She's a tough cookie who has no doubt about who her man is or what he does and doesn't have to decide if she can handle it. I love her!
Another great addition to this series. I love it when they have to call in reinforcements. Sal and Reno are hilarious. I can’t wait to watch How the relationship grows with Teddy and Nikki. I can’t wait to see how her relatives add to the drama. These series should be on tv.
When I tell you this book was off the chain it was. I didn't want it to end Teddy is a keeper for sure,so is Nikki. I'm so happy for Teddy finally finding his partner. It's been a long time coming. Can't wait until the next installment.
Mallory you’ve done it again.. I love Teddy and Nikki’s relationship.. I liked how she was there for him in his time of needed, how she backed his plays and even when she took over after the shooting. She belong right there with the Gabrinis and Sinatra’s..
This book was non-stop action packed, sprinkled with romance and overloaded with amazing powerful sex. YESSSSSSSSS!!!! What more can you ask for in a awesome read.
I loved Nikki, Teddy and Mick! This was a great quick read. I always say Mallory Monroe's books are quick read but really her books are just great action packed books. I'm happily on to the next book.
