My first Amish romance. About a young girl, her friends and family. Struggling with the same issues as other girl her age. Love, doubts expectations of her parents and community. Yet it is different, because the Amish people have a different life style as 'regular' Americans, or Europeans.
Beautiful, touching and inspiring story!

Very short

This is a very good short story. It would be so much better if it delved more into the characters lives and true feelings as the story developed.

I received a free copy of The Anxious Bride: Amish Countryside Book 25 by Sandra Becker and this review was given freely.
Best friends,Miriam and Heather, are faced with the dilemmas of faith and love versus tradition and community expectations. Miriam struggles with the loss of her best friend and first love but then must decide between twins who are different than the facades they show the community. Heather's Faith, love, and standing in the community are challenged when she becomes involved with an Englisher. This is a well written sweet romance containing attraction, rivalry, soul searching and blackmail all culminating in two happy endings.

She is in a bad place, she had her heart broken by one. Another one courted her but she was being forced into marriage by her parents. No wonder she is worried about what was going to happen to her. Will things be alright? See if it does

miriam finds herself being torn between a set of twins. One is laid back and easy going, the other is surly and sometimes downright nasty. His brother tells him that he is no good all the time. When he decided to go to stay with his uncle for the summer,Miriam becomes engaged to Abram, only to wonder if she madee the right decision. It was one her parents wanted. Abram was the favored son of the community. he always was so pious, such a gentleman. that is until his brother was around. Miriam started to hang. out with the other brother seeking advice when he came back from his uncle's. He seemed so different.
As the wedding day approached, she was wondering what she was going to do, she was falling fast for the wrong brother.
read the story to find out how it ends.

This is quite a different story from my usual reading material. Sandra has taken me into the heart of the Amish community and I found that and the story line made an interesting read.

In the middle

Miriam: unwitting trophy between brothers.
Abrams: twin 1; "favorite son"; I see-I want- I get. Wants Miriam for his wife ; resents his twin
David: twin 2; shadow of twin 1; resents his brother; also wants Miriam for his wife.
Who will become the winner and at what cost.
