In a largely unincorporated county in Minnesota, the newest office of Gray Wolf Security have just moved in...
BOOK ONE Tunstall Grayson has been on the run longer than he can recall. He thought living among humans would be easy, but it’s one of the hardest, and loneliest, things he’s ever done. After causing the death of a woman he cared deeply for, Tunstall has shut himself off from all human relationships. Therefore, when Ash Grayson finds him—with a little help from a friend—Tunstall tries to push him away. But Ash knows more than he lets on and he wants to offer Tunstall something he has never had: a true family. With the responsibility of growing a new office of Gray Wolf Security, Ash has not only given Tunstall a place to call home, he’s given him a reason to gather other misfit shifters and build his own pack, one that won’t betray him or hunt him down. One he can truly trust. But if Tunstall thinks he can continue to avoid human contact, he’s got another think coming.
BOOK TWO Tunstall has a list of things he needs to do to make a success of his branch of Gray Wolf Security: find a good office manager, hire a strong technology expert, and develop a good relationship with local law enforcement. Tunstall has successfully fulfilled the first two requirements, but he finds himself struggling to develop a relationship with the local sheriff, Erik Os. Ironically enough, Erik is also a shifter like Tunstall and his band of operatives. Unfortunately, Erik is a wolverine, a bear-like creature whose natural enemy is the gray wolf. Erik doesn’t want Tunstall in his county. However, when Erik meets Regan Smith, Tunstall’s young office manager, he can’t quite dismiss the instant attraction that develops between them.
BOOK THREE Orson was assigned to a simple case: watch the lawyer representing the men who attacked the lodge. Nothing more. However, while performing this task at the only hotel within fifty miles, Orson meets Talia - the wife of his biological brother, a man he barely knows. Orson has no interest in revisiting a past he’s closed the door on, but when he sees a man bribe a waiter to poison Talia, he has no choice but to rush to her rescue. Where that rescue will take them is something he never could have predicted.
BOOK FOUR Tunstall travels to Austin to get help from Gray Wolf security expert, David Grayson, for the security system that seemed to fail his people in Minnesota. He’s joined unexpectedly by newest recruit, Garrick Hamilton, a naive, but likeable shifter with almost no experience at the security game. They’re not in Austin more than an hour before Garrick invites himself onto a case, protecting a pretty, but terminally ill, social worker who’s been getting threats from someone wanting to find one of her young wards.
BOOK FIVE Clancy Drake was minding her own business in Austin when Tunstall walked into her life and turned it upside down. Now she finds herself in Minnesota, watching the man she’s been crushing hard on pine over a woman who’s been keeping time with another guy. She wants nothing more than to be there to pick up the pieces when Tunstall gets his heart broken, but the wolf, Ciarrai, walks into her life, making threats she knows he’ll follow through on. He leaves her with two choices: betray Tunstall or allow him to learn her truth about her past.
BOOK SIX Tunstall knows now that war is coming. The new leader of the Mahoney Cartel has a personal vendetta to carry out against him.
Tunstall Grayson, a Wolf shifter who left his former pack behind many years ago and found refuge with his human family Silas Grayson (Ashford and David Grayson's grandfather). Things didn't end well when his pack went looking for him.
Now he was wandering around with a companion named Levi in search of a place to call home. Despite his companion insistence to call Ashford, Tunst refused. Afraid of what his former pack would do if/when it tracked him down again.
Ashford tracked him down with a little help from a friend but he was push away by his cousin. No being one to give up, he made him an offer he couldn't refuse. Ash gifted him the family property in Minnesota, and an opportunity to ran the new GWS branch. He jumped at the chance.
Along with some other misfits, their office was up and running. They got their first case helping Trinity Larson with some trouble she was having. With the help of Kirkland and David, the solved the case.
Despite the attraction they felt towards each other, Trinity went back to her life in Europe while he stayed in Minnesota. Levi left as well. Things were bittersweet when she returned.
Book 2
Tunstall and his team were to take down the remaining of the Mahoney lackeys who were still up to their evil ways. They would need the help of the local law enforcement as well to stop the criminals but things wouldn't be that easy.
Erik Os, a wolverine who was the gray wolf's enemy. As the local sheriff of Bemidji, Minnesota he didn't want Tunstall in his county. Meeting GWS office manager tilted his world on its axis.
Regan Smith, GWS office manager loat her parents at a tender age was raised by humans. She finally felt like she'd found a place where shw belonged with Tunstall and the rest of the team.
She and the sheriff hit it off but his animosity towards her friends wasn't making things easy. She loved all the men in her life and she wouldn't choose between them.
When Trinity and Regan found themselves in danger, they took action to hold the intruders off. The security systems malfunctioning didn't feel nor sit right with Tunstall. He decided to so something about it.
Book 3
Orson McMahon, a Bear shifter and an operative at GWS was assigned to look at the drug dealers' lawyer. He did whatever he had to do to get the information he needed. He ran into someone who was connected to his biological brother, Benjamin.
Talia Abramov was married to Orson's brother years ago. She came to him asking for help in protecting a young man her late husband was trying to help get away from gang members.
When he sensed that something was wrong, he saved her from getting poisoned. Learning about why Talia was really in Minnesota rocked his world. The Mahoneys took his brother away from and they would pay that was a given.
OMG I liked the bond between Trinity and Creed, those two have an undeniable chemistry. They were both hiding some huge secrets. The more time they spent together, they realized they had more in common than they thought.
Turnes out the Mahoneys had their hands in many jars.
Book 4
Tunstall came back from Austin, Texas with some unexpected and wonderful surprises.
Garrick Hamilton, a horse shifter whom we've met in book two was with him when they found out about the threats Kipling's wife's best-friend had been receiving.
Erin Zontini, a social worker who had a lot on her plate and getting threats from someone who was looking for one of her foster kids weren't helping.
There was an instant connection between Erin and Garrick, they were mates even though in the past they kept on losing each other. Well not this time around, he would make sure they got their happily ever after.
I liked Clancy and Tunstall together, the shewolf wanted more from the man but the latter had to take care of somwthings on his end first.
Turned out the child was connected to Tunstall.
Book 5
Clancy Drake had feelings for Tunstall Grayson but the latter was still pining for Trinity even though she was with someone else. She was approached by Ciarrai the wolf who had been after Tunstall for years.
He wanted her to betrayed the man she loved. She couldn't do it no matter what. Instead a compromise was made. I liked the way she got through Tunstall and Ciarrai.
Finally the indentity of the person causing Tunstall and his cousins so much stress was revealed. It was someone from Tunstall's past. As the war continued a dear friend was taking from the pack.
Clancy got her HEA and she couldn't be happier. After all she went through, it was a gift to see her truly loved.
Book 6
After all the heartache and loss Tunstall suffred through oit the previous books at the hands of the Mahoney's cartel. It was time for him to take them on with the help of his pack, family and friends.
And yes he finally got his HEA as well.
Another fantastic bundle by Glenna Sinclair. GRAY WOLF SECURITY (SHIFTERS) kept me wanting more. Two thumbs up!!
The reason why I didn't rate this higher is because the author was inconsistent with details. Ash's grandfather's name was Simon. Yet, by book three, his name became Samuel? I had to go back to book 1 to make sure I was on the same page. Tunstall has brown eyes. When he finds his daughter, she has blue eyes--which the author says are just like his?? Really! It was like this throughout all 6 books. One of Trinity's attacker's names changed from Tony to Kyle.
It's just a matter of proofreading.
Tunstall Grayson is Ash and David Grayson 's cousin, but he's a gray wolf shifter. Ash explains is the real reason why he named the business Gray Wolf because of the stories he grew up hearing from his grandpa Simon. Tunstall knew Ash's great-grandfather, Silas, he taught him how to live among humans. Silas' little boy, Simon, Ash's grandfather, would tell him all kinds of stories about his cousin who would turn into a gray wolf. David never believed any of the stories, but Ash does. Ash had a picture that his great-grandmother took of Silas and Tunstall together over 60 years ago, to try to prove him point that he knows what Tunstall is.
Ash wants to make sure that Tunstall is taken care of, but he knows he's running from something. After his pack came after him with the intent to kill him when he was living with Silas, Tunstall refuses to stay near Ash and his family. So Ash offers his property in Minnesota, right near the Canadian border. He wants Tunstall to open another branch of Gray Wolf, leftovers of the Mahoney Cartel are running drugs across the border and they need to be stopped. Ash doesn't want another repeat of attacks on his family or anyone else's, so they need to be stopped before they can get across the border.
Tunstall recruits for misfit shifters; ones with no packs, no family, but wants to be apart of one.
This was graywolf security shifter series. This series was pretty awesome. I loved how exciting this series was, so suspenseful. The plots were great, the characters were entertaining. There was only two things I thought coulda been better. The romance was lacking, usually im not one for reading sex scenes all that much, but this story had like 4 or 5 couples coming together, and only 2 or 3 actually "got together". And the second thing was that the dialogue was weird. The characters were constantly saying thing that were sorta unnatural. Or reacting to thing so unnaturally. Hard to explain what I mean. Although, those strangely infuriating reactions might be one be the reasons the stories were so good. Idk. I still rated it 5 stars because I love the graywolf security series's, and this series included some of the old GWS characters, AND each story had its own drama, it also carried over one of the main dra!as from the previous seriess, aaaand it also had a whole new big drama that started with the first book and ended/resolved in the last book. Good stuff!!
This series really didn’t hold my attention until the last couple books. I didn’t like how at the end they tried to make it seem like Tunstall and Creed were in on it together the entire time. It really didn’t work especially since the book was in Tunstall’s perspective the majority of the time. If they were in it together it would have been brought up way sooner or at least hinted at. Also I didn’t like how the last couple books depicted Trinity as the one playing two guys when in the first couple books Tunstall was continuously pushing her away and into creeds arms. Then in the last books he was all like I’ve been here waiting the entire time. False!
I've been following GWS since the first bundle, and even with the issues it sometimes have I mostly like them, and I get the author trying to get into a new genre, but why combine them and ruin a good thing? Most of the explanations about the shifters are good, but suddenly everyone is a shifter when before no one knew about them? That's hard to believe. The other thing, at the end, when they have a twist like the one in the book, I like it when you are able to go back and see the pieces falling into place and that it makes sense, in this case it didn't and that breaks the narrative. The inconsistencies and the repetitiveness get tiring after a while.
I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. Thank goodness all of the stories were bundled together. I don’t think I would have liked missing out on tying up all of the ends. I must admit that there were a couple of loose ends tied in away I did not agree with. There were no clues given to the reader so these came out of nowhere. There were also a few inconsistencies. A couple have been mentioned in other reviews here. Another is the cover. Twice in the books it states that Tunstall was unable to have a tattoo as his body healed to quickly and rejected the ink, and yet, he is pictured on the cover with a tatt. Otherwise the story was fabulous. I have downloaded a few more of Sinclair’s books to read.
Tunstall has stopped running. His cousin Ash has set up a security firm for him to stop drug trafficking at the Canadian border in Minnesota. T has to search for operatives. He has Levi: his vulture buddy but he needs more. He meets Trinity, his soul mate under dire circumstances. There he also finds Creed; a lion shifter who just happened to show up at the right time. Now he has four operatives. Little by little they trickle in. Until he can now run the agency to stop the cartel. Mainly this book is about society intolerance, forgiveness and making a cohesive unit out of shifters with diverse personality traits.
Gray Wolf Security (Shifters) was an enjoyable series about a group of misfit shifters who just wanted the freedom to live their lives. Unfortunately they have a boatload of trouble after them and have to do a lot before they are able to. The characters are well fleshed and you learn who to like and who to dislike. I have to admit, I didn't like the heroine at all and was actually insulted that she has the same name as my granddaughter! How's that for some good, descriptive writing. Still, the storyline is good and they are some surprising actions that I never saw coming not to mention there is a HEA at the end. I would read more by the author.
I chose this rating because, the book was fitting for the genre I read (Fantasy), but not only that; This book was well written and had alot leading up to the huge crescendo at the end of the book, and was definitely well worth the wait! I really did enjoy this book, even with the beginning of the book being sluggish..I would recommend this book to anyone who loves folklore and the idea of shifters in this world, with just a touch of romance..❤👏👌
Pretty good series that flowed well. I will admit that Trinity got on my nerves and I wanted to be done with her at many points. Toward the end of the series there was a lot of cut and paste from previous books. I understood the need for context but at times it seemed like filler. I hope more books are coming that tell us more about Coulter. Love the little girl!
Book 1: I was hoping for a sexy, happily ever after read. It wasn't either, although the romance definitely played a role, there was some hot kissing, and the ending was hopeful. What it was was a novel with characters full of depth who made you care about them. I'm hoping we get Creed's story, and I want to see more of Levi, even though he left at the end of the book.
I don’t usually read shifter or paranormal books. But I just had to try this one and it was a really good book that I did not want to put down. There was lots of action with believable characters.
As per usual, another great series of stories from this author. Loved each and every book in this series. Could not put it down. Wonderful characters.. strong, sexy shifters... and the women who come to love them. Beautifully done.
Tunstall has been running for years. He left his pack and kept moving as they were hunting him. Meeting a distant human relative bring a new beginning for him and another band of misfits who are searching for a new start also.
I have loved the other Gray Wolf Security sets but I found this one fractured and confusing. I finally read the whole set but was disappointed in the series
I truly enjoyed reading this series of books 📚!It was full of intrigue, mystery, romance, and love 💘. I would definitely recommend this series of books to read!
This was my first Glenna Sinclair book and probably my last. Very rarely do I DNF a book, I was tempted many times on this one, but continued to soldier on. I do read a lot of shifter books, paranormal romance and the like; this one is my new least favorite. What I liked: The characters in general. What I disliked: *It seemed if something was needed - lets just further develop the character so they have that skill too. It got unbelievable -the limitless list of character skills as the books went on. *Books - just that, no separate titles, just Book 1, Book 2, etc. *The only version is the ebook version - why does the kindle version have 1382 pages but my nook version only has 824 pages. They can't be that different can they? *Character detail research. Example: As a photographer myself, I was instantly put off by the research done for Trinity. A photographer of her skill and caliber would never wear her camera using a neck strap!!! She would wear a cross body strap like a BlackRapid. *Simple grammar and spelling errors. Ex: "I stared through the scoop on my rifle..." I believe that should be scope not scoop. I've never used the lookup feature so much on my ebook as I had on this book. *Listed as "Paranormal Romance". Most of the 'books' this "romance" is a minor kiss and otherwise cold. A couple of the 'books' have a single sex scene but very mild. I'd call it a shifter book rather than hint at a romance. *Inconsistencies- names, details, etc. *Overuse of malaphores - I read "like a ton of bricks" so many times that I started screenshooting every instance.
