The gripping sixth novel in the thrilling crime series by Jay Nadal. Perfect for fans of Angela Marsons, Helen H Durrant, Malcolm Hollingdrake and Mel Comley.
Isolation is book six in the DI Scott Baker series by Jay Nadal. DI Scott Baker caught a case of the brutal killing of a woman while her husband watches. At first, there was no motive for the killing until he received a phone call that helps him to change the direction of the investigation. The readers of Isolation will continue to follow DI Scott to find out what happens.
Isolation is another fantastic book by Jay Nadal. I had forgotten how good books are in this series, and Isolation did not disappoint. I engaged with Isolation as soon as I open the first page and the love affair with this book continued until the end. I loved Jay Nadal's portrayal of the characters and how they intertwine with each other throughout this book. Isolation is well written and researched by Jay Nadal. I like Jay Nadal's description of Isolation settings that allow me to imagine being part of the plot of this book.
The readers of Isolation will understand the consequences of burnout for law enforcement officers and their families. Also, the reader of Isolation will learn about insomnia and the problems it causes for suffers.
A man is forced to watch his wife being tortured and beaten and her eyes cut out. His kids were also murdered. He goes into shock and put in the hospital. It happened again to another family the same way. They don't get many leads to who the murderer is. Lots of men may be involved in the case but can keep under the wire. The ending is something we never expected to come about in a way that it did. Keeps you wanting to know more.
In many ways! Sometimes while reading it feels too drawn out, but in the end you start to understand the need far it to be written this way! It was sad subject matter, and it needed someone two care enough to tell this story! I cannot think of anyone better than Jay Nadal!
DI Scott Baker and his team, take on a hunt for a serial killer. People are dropping like flies, one after another. Scott and his team, need to piece together, who is connected to who, and why. LOVE the DI Scott Baker series!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed book 6 in this fabulous series. Pretty gruesome in graphic details but a very engaging story. Scott and his trusty team are faced with a suspect of murder who is always one step ahead. A very worthy 5* plus thanks to Mr Nadal. BP Sheffield
