Lots of killing people unfortunately but I guess a fine age-appropriate version of the story

Cash -- When Hercules was born all the goddesses and gods adored him, except for one, Hera. She put a curse on him to make him kill all of his sons, which he did. Then the king made him do twelve tasks to earn back his honor. The rest of the book is about Hercules accomplishing the tasks. This is a good book.

Lillian (read in June 2010) -- This book is about Hercules who was half god, half human, which made him very strong. He was born on Mount Olympus, but Hera, the goddess of marriage, was jealous of him. He got married and had three sons, but Hera was so jealous that she tricked Hercules into drinking a potion that would make him kill his three sons. So he killed his three sons. He couldn't believe what he had just done, so he was given twelve tasks to complete in order for the gods to forgive him. From this book, I learned that you should always check to see if something is poisonous before you drink it. I give this book 4 stars which means I really liked it.

Hercacles (his original name) is my favorite greek guy.He has superstrength. In his most famous adventure he beat the twelve most fearsome mosters of the world.
The twelve stories involve the Nemean Lion, the Hyrda, the Styplian birds, the big Boar of the Mountains, the Cerbus, the twelve apples of the Hera's tree, the story where he has to get the cows from Gastrom (and his three headed dog), he also has to face carnivous birds, the Two man eating horses from Calyopos, the fire breathing bull, the deer with the golden antlers, and he had to get the belt from the Amazons.
