Leah Marshall never dreamed that living on her own would be so hard. The meager pay she earns working at a gas station doesn't even cover the rent, much less afford her the finer things in life-things she imagines she will have some day. But from where she stands, Leah can't fathom how she is going to get there. Lonely, penniless and bored, she wonders what she has gotten herself into. Until one night, while working the late shift at the Pump'nGo, a brief encounter with two exotic dancers from the Red Velvet Lounge across the street suggests a possible future, one she never dreamed of.

I really enjoyed this book. I found myself relating to the character throughout the story. There would be these sentences of perspective and emotions that just resonated with me. Such a well written story. I like this author's style.
