Logan only went on the date to make his mom happy...but the woman was everything he wanted...
When you grow up in high society in the south, moms never let a single woman alone for long.
Despite a recent divorce and a child in tow, Emily Blue has two meddling moms trying to set her up. Logan loves his mom and only agrees to date Emily to make her stop asking. But when the two of them get together, sparks fly.
One drunken kiss later, and their lives are entwined whether they like it or not.
But they both have completely different lives and pasts that haunt them.
I’m so goddamn bored I’d rather pluck my own eye lashes out one at a time than continue reading this book.
Emily is an asshole. She is either breaking up with Logan mentally or verbally every single page. For literally no reason. Her ex husband is an asshole who cheated on her, and she hates him, so she treats Logan like a piece of man candy while the Ex is around (throws herself at him to make the Ex jealous, blah blah blah). Then she shuts down like a broken sad sack of emotional instability every other time she sees Logan. No eye contact, refuses to speak, and basically acts like a robot- unless she’s drunk.
Logan has zero reason to like her. Other than the fact that she kissed him, and he liked it (even though she was wasted, tanked, stupid drunk because her ex husband showed up at a party with a younger new girlfriend- she doesn’t even REMEMBER kissing Logan). That’s it? Who the hell would stick around with a chick who is running away from him every other page? He probably deserves better.
I am at the point where if Emily got ran over by a bus, I probably wouldn’t care.
Also, the amount of unnecessary details was annoying page filler. Why the hell do I care about Logan taking his dogs out after a trip? And all the details about the woods and how the dogs run? Nope. Don’t care.
I give up. Throwing in the towel. Moving on. I hope you have better luck reading this than I did.

Duudeeeeee, I have nothing against trashy romance novels in fact I read them all the time to get out of a reading slump like rn but this book is just not it, the writing was clearly lazy.
Let's start with what baffled me so much, I don't understand why did Logan liked Emily sooooo much? There was literally no reason why! She could never hold a good conversation, it was so boring to hear her talk. Entire time she was like, I miss my child, I can't have feelings for Logan, my ex husband is trash, juniper is the most important thing in life.
Most important thing? Yeah sure you didn't even tell her about getting a boyfriend until you kissed each other in the resturant and he proposed to you to marriage spontaneously! Never was her opinion asked, she is a 9 year old for god's sake!
As for the writing, there were so many unnecessary scenes! I don't care about his dogs! I don't care about how he would rather hire dogs than people, oh my god just fuck offffff, my pledge of not dnf-ing a book this year came to bite me back in ass with this pick tbh. Also the conversation were so choppy? They never flowed properly, she would ask something and he would reply with something is totally off base and then they would laugh. Is that what American sense of humor is these days? Idk dude, it was weird.
Also! How did Emily not know that her trash ex-husband cannot take the full custody of her child? She has been in an divorce! She is familiar with the procedure, she should be aware what are grounds for full custody and what are not?! How is so ignorant and dumb!
Honestly, Logan is too good for Emily but they are both so dumbbbbb that I don't care.

Logan thought he had a great life but his mother wanted more for him so she started match making with her friend. Emily was raising her daughter on her own after divorcing her husband when she learned he had been cheating on her. Emily's mother had been pushing for her to get out and find a good man for her and her daughter. When both Logan and Emily agree to go out with each other they think it'll be one and done and they can say they tried. However neither expected to like each other. The first date wasn't all that good but after spending time together and introducing him to her daughter things slowly progressed. Just when it seems liked this were finally on track Emily's ex starts threatening to take full custody of their daughter if she doesn't get back with him. What will Emily do? Can Logan show her that he can help her and be there when she needs him?
This is a great story and will keep you entertained from beginning to end. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between Emily and Logan was electrifyingly hot. I would recommend this to any of my book friends.
I voluntarily read and reviewed this book I enjoyed it so much I bought my own copy.
Claire is a favorite author of mine. I try not to miss the opportunity to read any of her books. I always recommend giving yourself time to read the book from start to finish as you will not want to put it down. When I was offered an advanced copy of this new book I jumped at the chance to read it. My honest review of this book... Have you ever played or been played in a match making scheme? Well these two mothers are sure that their children are perfect for each other. Logan and Emily thought they were happy with their life as it is. One failed blind date, once chance meeting, a lot of meddling, can their hearts find their way to each other? This story is a well written. The characters have been well developed they show a believable as well as relatable personality. I enjoyed the back and forth of the characters throughout. This Is a wonderful HEA with no cliffhangers. I recommend giving it a read. Enjoy!
Two meddling mothers, who are best friends, a single mom with a jerk of an ex and a billionaire, what can go wrong with this picture? The mothers plot to get their children, Emily and Logan to meet, it is kind of a bust. But slowly, they try again and realize they have a connection. The mothers are thrilled! Their meddling worked. The road that Emily and Logan travel is twisty and full of bumps. Eventually, they do realize that they are better together than apart.
This book was an enjoyable read. The writing is strong, characters are well developed and there are some great one liners. The two mothers make me giggle, because they are very proper southern ladies. Emily's little girl, Juniper, steals the show in certain scenes. (That is such a great name for a little girl (Juniper Blue)). This fits perfectly into Claire's Billionaire's series.
I received an ARC for honest and freely given review.
What a great book from Claire Adams! It really shows the turmoil and fear some single parents go through when trying to dup their toes back into the dating pool. The southern mama's really pack it on when trying to set their children on a date. And with baggage that Emily brings, it is a serious struggle to see clear to a relationship. But Logan is not throwing in the towel, thank goodness! This book is full of angst, betrayl, lust, fear and love. And the emotions are flying high! Great read! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book. Hero, Logan = 5/5 Heroine, Emily = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 5/5 Plot = 4/5 Mystery = 2/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 3/5 Humor = 2/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
I’ll start by admitting that I love the single mom and male suitor (billionaire or not- as long as he’s a good guy). So this story is right up my alley. Logan is a single, well off, incredibly patient, self proclaimed mama’s boy and Emily is a divorced, single mom just trying to be a good example for her daughter. Their perspective and well meaning yenta’s of mother’s push them together for a date in the hopes of more. This is very sweet yet frustrating story. I found myself growing rather impatient with Emily, especially in her treatment towards Logan. Though I’m all for the dominant alpha who takes no prisoners, it was refreshing to see a more laid back approach with Logan. Their story is sweet mixed with a restrained passion. I received this book for a voluntary, completely honest and non incentivized review.
What's a girl to do when your own mother tries to set you up with dates. Emily has been divorced from her ex for two years. She has a five year old daughter named Juniper. When Emily finally agrees to go on a date with a man name Logan. Logan knows if he doesn't go on this date with Emily he will never hear the end of it from his mother. Will it work out? Great read couldn't put down till finished. This book includes five extra books. The first extra book is called Billionaire Rides with Ethan and Kayla. The second extra book is called Bad Boy Billionaire with Jack and Leah. The third extra book is called Billionaire's Amnesia with Elijah and Kendall. The fourth extra book is called Extreme with Justin and Anna. The last extra book is called Addicted with Nate and Abby.
4.5 stars Excellent contemporary billionaire Southern style romance. The main characters grew up with the beliefs and attitudes that marriage is what each needs. Well Emily is a divorced lady with a beautiful preschool age daughter. Logan is a billionaire who was raised similarly to Emily. Their mothers are best friends so go on a matchmaking scheme. Emily is resistant to Logan's advances even though she really likes him unfortunately her ex is a huge problem. There are really cute scenes throughout the book that draws readers in. The only drawback I found was that the book may start out slow for some - well stick around you'll enjoy it. I like that the author researches the characters history so the characters become believable. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Adams.
I received this book as an advanced copy this book as an arc. Emily is a single mother of a darling little girl with a loathe-some ex husband that damaged her self worth and still tries to control her. Logan might have come from old Nashville money, but worked hard to create his own Fortune 500 company. These two had never met even though their families came from the same societal circles. Their mamas devise a blind lunch date for them where they don’t exactly hit it off. After another chance encounter at a charity function their views of each other begin to change. Will their mamas win and their interest in each develop into a loving relationship or will her loathsome ex destroy their relationship before it begins.
Another fantastic story by Claire Adams! Logan was a gem, understanding and thoughtful to the max. Not wanting a relationship but wanting to pacify his mother he agrees to meeting her friend's daughter Emily. Emily is another story. Divorced, a single mother, with a nasty ex husband, is cautious and scared of ever having a another relationship, ever! She agrees to meet Logan to stop her mother's nagging. Events, the cosmos and two mother's transpire to get these two together again and for all time. Humor, hot chemistry, anxiety, a precocious little girl, meddling mothers, evil ex all play a part in this delightful romance. I received this book as an arc and I am voluntarily submitting my review.
The only part of this book I even kind of liked were the chapters when Juniper was sick. The story was also very slow and boring.
I honestly disliked Emily and thought Logan deserved better. She went to their first date not even intending to give him a chance and left after 5 minutes. Then, used him to try to make her ex (a giant pos) jealous, and essentially used him for a trip to Japan (even though that wasn’t her intention).
Emily was just very negative and could honesty use some therapy. Not trying to be mean but she was emotionally abused by her ex and was still giving him that control over her. She should have gone to see someone.

Emily is a single mom and raising her daughter Juniper, in Nashville. Logan is a bachelor and a hard working billionaire who hasn’t had much time for dating. When Emily ‘s mom and Logan’s mom get together to work up a matchmaking idea. The two are forced to meet for a date. Emily has to deal with her controlling ex husband, and forces her to choose between him or Logan. So many issues and emotions to think about. Will she choose love or will she choose the past? I received this book as an ARC! This book will Not disappointment you.!
A story about two people going on a blind date and then finding love when not expected. A romance with chemistry and passion. Storyline and plot are nice. Well written story. Characters are likeable and believable in the description. They develop nicely through the story. I like it is written in dual POV, which gives the reader both the thoughts and feelings of the main characters. That makes the story even more emotional and captivating. The twists and turns are so unexpected that they made it worth the read. This story is captivating from start to finish and I read it in one sitting.
Logan has determined he doesn't have to time to date with his job. After her divorce, Emily is determined to never open herself up again. Two meddling mothers are determined. Will Logan be able to prove not all men are the same? Will Emily open up her heart for a second time?
I could understand the point of view of both main characters. I loved how even though she went back and forth, Logan was determined to help her any way he could. I didn't blame Emily for being scared, but was proud when she put her foot down and said enough was enough. Great read!

Let me tell you first that I loved the book!!!!!! Emily’s and Logan’s story gave me the feels! I laughed with them and I rooted for them from the beginning. Emily’s ex-husband gave me the urge to smack his face through the book, he was so annoying. The end was perfect and gave the best conclusion to their story! If you haven’t grabbed the book already you should totally do it like now!!!! I’m definitely going to read more from the author in the future!
I received an ARC of this book and I’m voluntarily leaving a review.
Good families in the south never let their daughters stay single long. That's the case for recently single single mom Emily who has two women manipulating her love life. This was a fun book to read with likeable characters. I actually felt like I was on some of their dates with them. Claire Adams is a great writer and his book is definitely a five star read. Lots of surprises and chemistry that's off the charts. I read a reader copy and voluntarily chose to write a review.
Logan and Emily both come from very prominent families in Nashville. They also come from two mothers who cannot help but want to be involved in setting them up with each other. Emily is a single mother with an ex that is a real piece of work. Logan is a very successful businessman who hasn't had the time to meet the right woman. Will their mother's succeed in their mission to find happiness for their children? You will have to read to find out. I give the book 3.75 stars total.
Logan was perfect for Emily even though neither one knew it...good thing they had their mothers to steer them in the right direction. I loved Juniper, she was a great character who added to the story. My one critique is that Emily was too gullible to believe the things that Lionel was telling her. Even a person with less than average intelligence knows that his threats wouldn't be taken into consideration in a child custody case.
Several good stories, which give you an element of escapism. One story sadly had too many contradictions, one chapter the girl speaks to her mom almost daily, and lives happily with her dog, in the next sentence, she is an orphan & her dog has died. Then in the next chapter the Mom & dog are back in the land of the living. Thankfully the other stories compensate for this.
Very engaging novel. An air of love surrounded the whole novel. The characters were all interesting and well developed. The story was very well written and flowed effortlessly. There was a gentleness theme to the whole novel. A read to highly recommend to everyone!
I received an advance review copy of this novel and I am leaving an honest review.
What an awesome read! Claire Adams has gifted us with a wonderful romance novel with a great storyline; some pretty kickass characters; lots of emotional upheaval; and a simply marvelous HEA. You truly need to grab a copy of this one today! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and loved it!!) ❤️❤️
Billionaire's Single Mom is a good read, with likable characters and the requisite drama to keep things interesting. A few typos had me rereading some lines, but the book was not riddled with errors. There were a few parts that seemed a little clichéd, which momentarily lost my interest, but overall it was entertaining and kept me reading too the end.
A great book. Exciting, fun, emotional, surprising, intriguing and so much more. It happens in the south where there are different ideals and hopes and ways of doing things. His mom talks him into going on a date. In the south your mom is the most important person. Things turn out different. And they both learn a lot. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.
This book contains a series of stories of monies m who were really screwed up and the women who were able to connect to them. Their love was able to help these men get it together and find the true value of life. Some stories were a little sappy but, overall, were nice, light reading.
What an enjoyable story two moms plotting to hook their kids up grabbed me from the beginning I do enjoy this authors books she never disappoints the reader definitely worth reading.i voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Meddling Mothers, a jealous ex, insecurities, fun and passion are all part of Logan and Emily's story. Will they let their walls down when they are set up by their mothers? You will not be able to stop reading until the end.
A blind date, two scheming mothers and so much more. A well written storyline with great characters. Logan and Emily have great chemistry and this was an entertaining read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
