Title: ➳ ❤- Edge
Series ➳Tortured Heroes 6#
Author: ➳ Jayne Blue

ღ Crystal Falls, Texas, population 6,159, it was small town feel. When you looked around it kinda felt like late 50’s early 60 vibe. It’s an old-fashioned mentality a lot of people have in this town. They do kind of exist in a time capsule, & they were stuck in their ways & didn’t like change.. So as you can imagine what happen when Lila came to town & open her Lil coffee & pastry shop

➦..Beckett Finch is a strong man. A man of honor, duty, loyalty. A hero. The real kind, but he carried demons with him
It’s why he move to Crystal Falls, Texas, six years ago. He thought it would help..

♥●• Lila Kelly was looking for A fresh start. A corner of the world where no one gave a damn who my father or grandfather was. And it was way too small for either of them to bother with. Or so she prayed.

► They both have their secrets, but what happens when they their past cross paths?

💕 I really enjoyed Edge & I am excited to see what Ms. Blue writes next.

► one way to find out how the story play out, is to “one click” this book & find out for yourself

➦📚 Hope you enjoy this read & also always keep in mind this is just my opinion & my honest review 💕

➦ 💕 I received an EXCLUSIVE copy of this book in exchange for my honest review of it. 💕

Sheriff Beckett & Lila
Well Sheriff Becket is who he is in the small town of Crystal Falls,Texas his Deputy is Crane and his Clerk is Romana along with three other lower ranger deputies that makes up the police force. But the Sheriff he has special training he was in the military special forces now that can be bad or good in his case good for the job but bad for his scars and his ability to get restful sleep. So one morning it starts with a bang with the oldest man in town gets into another car accident(Emmett) and flips out they have to arrest him yet again. Then they come back to the station to get a visit from the next to oldest person of the town Ms. Garrett she is all in a up roar because of her store once there the Sheriff understands why she is so upset. After talking to Ms. Garrett he goes over to the new coffee shop across the street to see if they can help with any information about the antique store being vandalized but once inside Beckett see’s Lila for the first time and his mouth goes to the floor and his pants get tight and his mouth gets dry and thank god she has coffee to wet his whistle. Oh lordly that man is like nothing I have ever scene Arlene says now Lila has her back to the front counter filling a coffee mug and looks at her employee and say who are you talking about. Arlene says turn around and see who looking at you and don’t drop his coffee and go over to him and see what he wants. So when Lila does as such and oh boy she has the sexy smile on her face doing so. Read the mysteries, fun, sexy book like voluntary did and enjoy. C.

Beckett is trying to survive his demons from his past from when he was a seal.
He is now a deputy sheriff in a very small town, which gives him something to do.

But times are changing now Lila moves into town. Lila has started a new shop and not everybody is happy with that, because she is from out of town. Lila has her own past, a past she tries to excape. But her past or actually her half brother doesn't want to let her go, bringing more trouble.
Next to the fact that one of Becketts old Seal mates visited him.

The moment Beckett meets Lila Sparks fly and they can't help it. They both aren't into a relationship, because of their pasts. But maybe they just deserve their happily ever after together? The road to it is no easy at all, but a great read.

I couldn't stop reading, because I wanted to know what was going to happen next.

A little mafia action and a strong, alpha, ex-Navy Seal protecting his woman and his small town. He's got PTSD and she's running from her gangster brother. He feels guilty for surviving a failed mission that left some of his men dead and two living. There's insta-lust and love. A small amount of suspense regarding who is making the small town scared and the villain turns out to be a surprise. I love this author's writing and have read her two biker/MC series and loved them. The Tortured Heroes series is a little hit and miss for me. This was one an ok read but felt a little rushed at the end.

Loved it!

Lila Kelly wants is a fresh start. Trying to put her past behind her Lila opens her cafe in the quaint town Crystal Falls. But, she soon finds out life in a small town is tough when your new in town. Always at the centre of gossip and first to blame when there's trouble. It seems where Lila's concerned trouble is always waiting to pounce.

Trouble brings the Sherrif to her door and he brings a whole heap of trouble of a different nature.

Beckett is a retired Seal, who is haunted by his past, and he is now the Deputy Sheriff in Crystal Falls. Lila also has a past she is trying to escape from, and has just opened a coffee shop, but is finding things rough going as the newbie in town. The sparks fly between these two when they meet, and when danger follows Lila, Beckett is determined to protect her no matter what. This is a well written flawless story, which had me captivated throughout. I highly recommend this authors’ work for all readers.

Wow, I loved Beckett’s character. Who doesn’t love a sexy alpha hottie! The struggle of being in the Seals haunted him daily, he needed a strong woman to help him and he found that with Lila. The magnetic chemistry with this couple will have you gripping your kindle. LOL! They are a hot pair. I also loved the small town storyline. It was a very interesting story with some twists. You won’t be disappointed in any of Jayne’s books. Great job as always!

I loved Beckett and Lila together.
I first met Beckett in a couple of Jayne’s previous books (King and Dark Oath) and thought he was quite interesting and mysterious, I could wait to get started on his story with Lila. I loved their interactions with each other and how the sparks between them started right from the beginning. There were a lot of times I felt so sorry for what Beckett was going through but I was happy Lila brought the light for his dark days.
I loved how much of a take-charge character Beckett was especially towards the end with Lila.
Such a good read

He comes home from being a seal in the service and has a lot of baggage. He is living in this small town quietly hoping it stays that way. In she comes and opens a business. She has her fair of baggage too. l Mainly a step brother and other things who brings trouble with him. On top of that she falls for the seal. It is exciting, suspenseful, emotional and so much more. Very well written and enjoyable. I was given a review copy and voluntarily review it.

I really enjoyed this book. Beckett and Lila are really well written characters. They are both good at their core but with deep scars that cause them not to trust easily. Their chemistry is instantaneous and undeniable but just as they are starting to get some sort of a solid foundation going trouble appears from multiple directions. Can they learn to trust each other and make it to the other side?

A former Seal - with nightmares -, now a Sheriff and a girl with faboulas knowledge in baking - especially blueberry muffin. There’s the main characters.
I really loved the description of the characters, not only Lila and Beckett but also their brothers and the people in the small town. The story wasn’t standard, but had its own twist, which I enjoyed.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Becket is Deputy Sheriff of Crystal Falls and he's a former Navy Seal and has nightmares of what he and his teamates live thru. Lila is new to town and opened a coffee and pastry shop, and she's hot so that's a plus for him. They both have their past coming to life and sparks are about to fly. Great book Jayne, another great story.

This book was wonderful. The storyline flowed and the characters, well they had a lot of character. There were a few twists, secrets, surprises, and some romance. I like Jayne Blue's writing because they are romance with a storyline that you could see happening in real life, and it isn't all about sex. I volunteered to read an advanced copy of this book.

Such a great and full storyline. Romance, mystery and intrigue line the pages of our don’t want to be called hero, Deputy Sheriff and new girl in town a bakery owner with a secret. As the secrets these two are keeping start to surface doubts creep in and trouble brews. Hold on to your seats this one just may end up with a big bang! 💥

Great reading

Beckett is the town deputy. When he left the seals after a bad mission he needed peace to calm his nightmares. Lila in her own has come this small town to escape her demons. Lila opens a coffee shop but her past comes back to taunt her and this brings Beckett's own past back also.

Awesome contemporary post-military romance. Lila came to town and opened a coffee shop unfortunately she was soon followed by danger. Beckett is the Deputy Sherriff who is a retired SEAL that struggles with night terrors. He tries to protect the townspeople he’s come to know and that includes Lila. Lila is trying to keep the town safe by running but her feelings especially for Beckett make it hard to leave. She’s got her brother Tommy trying to force her to launder for the Irish Mob. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Blue.

This is the first book I've read in the Tortured Heroes series so the stories can definitely be read as a standalone. However, I must warn you once you read one, you will want to read them all. I just finished the Dark Saints MC series and thoroughly enjoyed each book. Now, I'll have to go back and read the others in this series.

Ms. Blue is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her stories are intriguing, perfectly paced and captivating with a touch of mystery and suspense. The characters are well developed, relatable, likable and far from the typical stereotypes. Ms. Blue's storylines and writing style are fabulous. Highly recommend!

Lila moved to Crystal Falls, Texas and opened a coffee shop and bakery. Beckett Finch is the town sheriff, when the shop across the street from Lila's is trashed, he decides it is time to introduce himself to the new business owner. He walked into her shop and left with a date. Unfortunately, their pasts will catch up with them. Lila and Beckett are fascinating and sexy characters, neither trust easily, but they will fall in love and live happily ever after. This is an exciting read with action and suspense. Fantastic book!
