About the author

USA TODAY bestselling author Stephanie Bond was seven years deep into a systems engineering career and pursuing an MBA at night when an instructor remarked that she had a flair for writing and suggested that she submit to academic journals. But Stephanie, a voracious reader, was only interested in writing fiction–more specifically, romantic fiction.

Upon completing her master’s degree and with no formal training in writing (her undergraduate degree is in computer programming), she started writing a romance novel in her spare time. Two years later in 1995 she sold her first manuscript, a romantic comedy, to Harlequin Books.

I’ve read this book but as the six part ebook series rather than this full length novel, which is why this hasn’t been included or added towards my 2023 reading challenge as the individual six ebooks have been added to it already.

Another superb daily serial. Della is a woman you hate. Snotty, catty, & shallow. Getting let go from her big pharma job selling diet pills she has to survive on temp jobs to keep her fancy apartment & rich doctor boyfriend. Living a lie she has cultivated with her friends, she has a love/hate relationship with food, mood swings due to a diet pill she's secretly taking & used to sell. Putting two & two together about the pills & the company she worked for drops her in the middle of missing transient teens, her maid's murder, & a hunky new neighbor. Fast paced daily entries has you laughing, cringing, & rooting for the hot mess that is Della. On a side note, she gets to work with characters from the Body Mover series (Carlotta & Detective Jack Terry) which I love!

What a great read! The ending was very abrupt, but the topics covered were done well, considering their controversial status! Bullying, weight issues, moral dilemmas, and much more!!! I'm finding that I'm really enjoying Ms. Stephanie Bond! And shes already became a slight addiction as she had me thinking and laughing and wanting to scream or cry! It was great!
