The heroes, reunited at last, board the Mockingbird and fight their way to Iselda as well as the source of the poison that has been plaguing the inhabitants of Stilben.
Another great installment. Now I just need the inclusion of Pike and Percy. So, I hope these comics did well enough for Dark Horse that they'll decide to order up another series so we can get more of the early stories of Vox Machina.
it left me unsatisfied. It does the thing that comic books love to do: set up a sequel, to make sure the readership continues into the next project. But it left the arc itself feeling unfinished. The last 2-3 pages are wasted setting up material for another series, instead of fleshing out character and group growth post-first-adventure. It felt a little money-grabb-y because of that. This just feels like the sort of thing that might be better suited to a graphic novel or collection format than a serial. Admittedly, I'm not fond of serials. It's perpetual dissatisfaction.
That said... if they do another series, I will still read it. I'm still into the art, I still think the early characters are captured well, and its a world and story that is familiar and loved. I'm into the head cannon.
"I like it here, lots of opportunities for a band of plucky adventurers. Good opportunities for character development." "I think we should find a very expensive tavern, and get completely shitfaced."
A nice ending to this first arc, but it felt like they crammed a lot of information in one issue and as a result, I found it a little less well-paced than the previous installments.
Okay so prior to reading this series, i had no knowledge that it was a show or part of dungeons and dragons type thing, i always found that so complex when my friends were talking about it, so reading this got me intrigued in it a bit. Like i don't mind reading stuff like this, it's fun and imersive but i think the whole role-playing thing throws me off a bit since i don't really do that a lot. Overall this was a good series and I believe theres more to it, so i'm going to go ahead and read that. I'm telling you right now I really like Vex and Keyleath's friendship? relationship? I don't know, but it's cute and I'm here for it. The beginning of this issue reminded me of that scene in gardians of the galaxy when Rocket is talking to Quill and Gamora about how they would do a prison break and groot just decided to practically start it and they have to wing it from there. The opening of this issue gave that same vibe, and i loved it. It was so good.

This was a fun read. Looks like D&D stories are all and fun. Enjoyed the last issue and a proper ending. Different set of characters set on different missions came across each other but finally came together as fate would have it to face a common enemy.
New team formed, they get to know each other more.
Really laughed at the solution they thought of to vanquish the cursed poison. Even after that when things were going south, Grog to the rescue!
My fiancé listens or watches Critical Role on Twitch. I want to be involved but no captions back when they started. Then finally they got captioned and I enjoyed maybe one or two episodes. But a graphic novel format was way better for me to enjoy. So I read all of these books 1-6 and loved them. There are more! Worth it is you’re into Dungeons and Dragons sort of thing. Comic format very entertaining to keep you enthralled with the story line. Both adventurous and funny!
This was just as amazing as the others in the series! The art was beautiful and it was so great to follow another Vox Machina story. I can't wait to see if they will be coming out with more! We need to see Percy and Pike!

It took me a rather long time to actually get this last issue and for me this was my least favorite out of them all, but altogether I gotta say I enjoyed the comics greatly and I can't wait for the bindup collection to come out because I am definitely going to try to get my hands on one of them.
Mixed feelings on this one. The story rounded out nicely, but felt like a lot was being crammed in, which left me feeling this should have been an 8 episode run maybe. . . Still, here's to more in the future!
Truly an amazing comic. Fantastic if you’re watched the show, if you haven’t? Just as good! The art style is great, and the characterization feels right too. It’s nice to see where everyone started.
I hope that there will be a Vox Machina continuation! I really want to read how they met up with Pike and Percy for the first time, and the pre-Critical Role canon! Like the Dragonslaying, the death and undying of Pike, and everything ^^
The final chapter of the six-part origin story of Vox Machina. It certainly was a climactic ending, with nice fighting and visuals, along with several "loose ends" that might be used for a probable sequel of shorts! All in all, it was worth reading!
Good color artwork. Wish there was 8 more pages of it. Prime video is showing a hot new anime series based off this book. Everyone works together and defeats the evil marilith.
