Pět strakatých žabiček

Rate this book

This book reminded me, and quite honestly, is a mirror of the five little monkeys jumping on the bed story. I’m so grateful that they were able to create such an attractive story that revolves around the childhood commonly known story. Such an adaptive
Book. I believe this book accomplished such a difficult ability to adapt such a popular child hood story and modernize it into a relevant modern context.

Most importantly, this book reminded me of the ever so popular game, frogger. A popular book and a
Popular game! This book is definitely a must have for a child!

Frogger and 5 little monkeys are all accounted for
In this simple and well illustrated book.

Im putting this here, its not that book but I read a book, written by my gf's friend who lost her brother, it was wholesome, its not yet on goodreads but it had the same amount of pages🥺

For my few Slovenian followers that are following me, let's support the local works! The original work is by Metka Dolanc and it is called Žabice.

This is one of the shortest books, if not the shortest I've read. It holds a powerful message regardless. The author talks about loss and grieving. With it she wants to create a safe space for children and raise awareness about the importance of letting children process death and loss in a healthy way. She wants the children to remember that they are not alone in such situations. 🥺

I really loved the illustrations as well, I think it is very cute! 🥰

Our copy of this is so well worn and loved. This is a great first board book, with squishy and colorful frogs to get the attention of any baby. As the child gets older, this is an engaging book to teach and review colors and numbers (math!).The song is fun to sing too.
