Twisted, suspenseful and lots of different levels to this story. Jacob starts as T.R.E.X but after a duty goes horribly wrong he is out. He life in tatters he goes rogue, little does he realise what he got himself into. There were parts I found hard to follow, characters conversations sometimes just a bit too mixed up, back and forth banter and rows mixed with dom/sub talk. Not just that but talking in some sort of code without actually saying anything or getting anywhere, I must admit I lost concentration more than once and had to put book down for a bit and take a breather. But having said that, the depth of plot, the characters and everything involved with all the twists and turns still had it deserving of 5 stars. I will definitely be reading more of this series as I love the original series, since some of them also pop in in this one it's a win win for me. Complex and some action scenes to keep it edgy as well as the romance side which is m/m there is plenty to enjoy.
