Sam and his new team are drawn into a convoluted conspiracy, a plot for one company to take over another, which begins with the attempted murder of an innocent boy. When Sam learns that a powerful, professional assassin is running the operation, he decides to pull out all the stops.
Unfortunately, Beauregard has warned him to be careful on this case. The old Civil War ghost, who may or may not exist, tells Sam to be careful not to arrest the wrong person — and that Death is stalking one of his team. Get ready for a roller coaster ride, as Sam and the team take on foes that almost seemed to be supernatural at times.

David Archer was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. He is a fiction author and novelist, writing in the mysteries and thrillers genre. His approach to writing is to hit deep, keep you entertained, and leave you wanting MORE with every turn of the page. He writes mysteries, thrillers, and suspense novels, all of which are primed to get your heart pumping.
I'm a fan of Archer's work. Sam Pritchard. Noah Wolfe. At the end of the previous volume, Prichard had stepped out of being just a PI to being the head investigator for a security firm. That served a couple of purposes - it reinvigorated the Prichard character and added a whole new cast of characters. It also freed him up to expand the depth of the plots and to expand his localities from Denver to New York and London - with more likely to come. This book shows that Archer's up to the task.
The book isn't quite a cliff hanger, but there's an unsettled end that wraps up in the next volume, Unfinished Business. The door's been opened for Archer to generate a whole 'nother set of work by going into the lives of the newly introduced characters - but first, this one needs wrapping up. The next volume is a natural conclusion and does a bit of cross-over work, with Wolfe and his team appearing near the end. I'm excited - the restraints are off now.
Another cracking story by David Archer. Once again I found myself reading until the early hours. Even though the main character now has a team it doesn’t dilute the intensity and excitement of the story, it actually expands it. This was one of the best thrillers I have read with a nail biting finish. I feel the Sam and Indie characters are more like family. Such a wonderful read.
My, my, my! Sam Prichard continues to spread the Midas Touch in Innocent Conspiracy. This book continues to showcase his top notch team while Sam surely becomes the quarterback. The ending was not as grand as some, but I had fun reading it and that's what counts!
David Archer——I had to use my speed reading to finish you latest novel before my wife . Why did you have to make the ending so darn dramatic. As fast as I read,it wasn’t fast enough and you almost gave me a Heart attack !!! Thank you for another great adventure. Dr. C. 😊👍🥂
San Pritchard is one of my favorite series. It is well written with thought provoking situations that reflects current societal issues. It's scary how warped the world is today. David Archer puts it all out there for you to see. I have read all of this and most of his other works. If you want high definition suspense read his works.
Sam does it again and saves the day! You experience “on the edge of your seat” excitement and drama with a “who done it” mystery throughout. There is a recurring cast of characters that add personality and a sense of family to the series. I suggest you start at the beginning book and read, read, read!
Web Wide Awards is presenting their yearly awards when the biggest winner of them all is announced and Max is shot. Windows Security is hired to provide all future security and Sam is in charge of the investigation. Indie and Sam's team are able to determine the who and why.
Innocent Conspiracy (Sam Prichard Book #16; Sam and Indie Book #5) by David Archer... Another smart mystery where Sam and his team get drawn into an elaborate conspiracy that all starts with the attempted murder of an innocent boy. Add a formidable professional assassin to the mix as well a touch of the seemingly paranormal, and things take a bit of a thrilling turn...
This book was really wonderful I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. I would recommend to read all the series of these books I can't wait for the next one to come out.
This one had me on the edge of no more Sam with Beaurgard's prodiction . What a relief of the final outcome! Now on to next chapter of the Windless organization.
This is the best of this series so far!!! Characters are still wonderful! Plot is great! Ending spectacular! Want next one quickly Please!! Annette Graham
I am a big reader and in my long life I probley read thousand of books. One of the best ever. I do not leave. Reviews just my grading so please be assured I will read all you have written.
Considering the goings on in the govt. All the vitriol and threats. The millions being made while serving the people. This story, while not political at all, does show what people are capable of to gain money and power.
Another spell binding mystery. Just when you think you have it figured out a curve ball is thrown at you. Sam proves Beauregard wrong for first time. Great ending. I can’t wait for book #17.
I am a Sam Pritchard fan all the way. I love how we have gotten introduced to all the new characters and love them all. Sam is always fighting for good and the action is blood pumping.
Sam and the crew at it again to find who is behind an attempted murder. There was tons of action keep you on your toes trying to find who the people where behind this mess. Wonderful series.
I like to say Sam’s staff were so talented and enthusiastic in their assignments. Kim’s ghost didn’t play such the big role in solving the case. However, I liked it better when Sam and Indie worked alone.
One of the best Sam and Indie stories yet. Wonderful characters. A great thriller. I could not guess who the bad guy was. Got nothing done all day. Could not put the book down.
Heart pounding adventure plus great mystery with clues but some surprise. Loved it. Can’t wait for next. I hope the story continues for many more books.
