Dante Gabriel is angry. Someone has violated the woman whose scent has left him emotionally paralyzed, and he’s become unhinged. He vows to protect Erin Hamilton—mostly from himself.
Erin has other ideas. She’s determined to figure out the strange man who keeps leaving her aroused and unsatisfied. When she pushes Dante for answers, he goes looking for them himself. What he uncovers could put Erin in mortal danger, with him as her only salvation.

Blood Bond Saga Part 2 by Helen Hardt GENRE: Paranormal Romance NARRATION: Dual POV BOOK DETAILS: Part 2 of a 6 part series AUDIO AVAILABLE? No
THE STORY: This is the 2nd Book in the 6-part series and continues on where Book 1 left us.
We are starting to see there is more than meets the eye with Dante and Erin’s connection to one another, but the more clues we are given the more questions arise.
Frustration eats away at Erin as Dante continues to leave her in a state of arousal and confusion, but Dante is being haunted by his past and continues to learn more about the world he has missed out on in the last ten years and seeks the help of his grandfather for more answers about his strong connection to Erin.
The mystery continues, the heat turns up a notch and the blood begins to thicken in the 2nd part to the Blood Saga.
MY THOUGHTS: So damn close but yet so damn far away, we nearly see Dante and Erin get it on, but they are rudely interrupted and we are yet again left wanting. The intrigue behind Erin’s pull towards Dante is still high and we are still left guessing.
The underlying danger is starting to make itself more present although it is still unknown. We get to see a softer side of Dante in this instalment, his torment from his past still ever present in his mind but the thought of hurting Erin holds him back.
The build-up in this book is insane, I am so damn frustrated myself for poor Erin. All I know is with a lead up this long when it does go down it is going to be Epic.
I need book 3 now!

That’s the thing with serial books, you got to drag it out right? I’m soooo disappointed with this one, considering I liked Part 1 so much.
I’m doing the audio review, I got the Unchanged Blood Bond Saga Part ONE. To explain, there are six parts of the book, but there are also two parts where three parts are lumped together. Confusing much? I know, but I like listening to lumps than 2 and half hours at a time.
Anyhow, I really enjoyed the first book because I felt like so much happened, but this one was just so disappointing.
One word to describe Part 2 is = Rinse and Repeat.
I can’t count how many times Dante tries to have sex with Erin only to have him reject her. I want to say maybe five times? Maybe more, yeah it’s REALLY annoying. I would think the author would have stopped after the first two times. This hindered my listening experience a lot.
We don’t really get that much information about the history of vampires until the last five minutes of the book. I kid you not.
The ENTIRE book is Dante fighting his attraction to Erin and Erin trying to slut it up and almost rape him. It’s so sad but true.
I’m going to finish the last part of the audio book, but if it’s another filler book, I might have to shelf this series.
Dante Gabriel is angry. He is enraged that someone has violated the woman he has vowed to protect-Erin Hamilton, the ER nurse. Her scent emotionally paralyzes him and becomes unhinged. Is he alone? He knows he must protect Erin at all costs, but mostly from himself.
When she pushes Dante for more answers, he goes looking for them himself. He continues to leave her aroused and unsatisfied, and she wonders if there is something wrong with her. What answers Dante does find out will put Erin in mortal danger with him as her only salvation.
RATING: 5 Stars
REVIEW: This is the second installment of the Blood Bound Series by Helen Hardt. I was anxious to see if Dante and Erin would finally become an official couple, and the book was wrought with emotional turmoil for both. Dante with his nightmares and trauma from being captured and Erin feeling traumatized because Dante keeps leaving her for reasons unknown to her. I am beginning to some sleuthing myself and paying close attention to ALL the characters because I suspect the person or vampire that violated Erin is someone she knows.
With Dante furious with himself for not having protected her better, he also looks for answers as to what is happening to him, to Erin and why are they so drawn to each other. The answer is shocking. I was taken aback by what was discovered in this book, and the author did well to leave me in suspense until the final reveal.
I was quite pleased the simple writing and characters that were developed over the course of two books.
WRITING:
The writing is fluid yet straightforward. It is easy to fly through this book as I did it in a few hours (with some interruptions and distractions along the way). Ms. Hardt is not a technical writer in the sense that she does not use overly complicated words, yet she uses medical jargon in the ER where Erin works, but not to excess.
PLOT:
The plot and subplots worked well together and, while one answers eluded Dante in this book, several questions were answered towards the end giving rise to a new book in the series.
The ending was clean, yet abrupt and I am finding with these serials. That does not leave for a neat conclusion; but, the central questions were answered going some, for reasons that leave the books open to more in the series. The plot and subplots do work together however and lead to the central element that will be later revealed in other books I suspect.
WHAT I LIKED:
I liked the way the story followed Dante through, not only self-discovery but the discovery of what is happening to his lady love Erin. He is, however, meticulous not to tell her about his vampirism or the secret that is revealed at the end of the book.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
I don't like that this story is in serial form. This was my main complaint in book 1. As with book one, the ending is abrupt and there is no leading up to it. It is disappointing.
OVERALL IMPRESSION:
The book is good and the story is rich. I really like vampires as I said before. The vampires in this series are different than the vampires I have read in many other books and it is quite refreshing. The romance is not overdone and the passion is thick but not gratuitous. I like Ms. Hardt's writing and find that I may read her other series.
Blood Bond Saga Part #2 by Helen Hardt continues the story of Dante Gabriel and Erin Hamilton. This starts a 6 part story line for this Blood Bond Saga, so you should read Blood Bond Saga Part 1 first. They are quick reads but ones you just want to grab the next one so fast. Dante is dealing with the torment he has been through along with trying to understand this connection he feels with Erin. Dante ends up talking to his grandfather some of what has been going on with himself and his thoughts. Erin too is trying to understand what has her so drawn to Dante. There is also underline danger that is coming out more and more. This series has me so hooked in that I can't wait for my next 'fix'! Love it!
A riveting continuation of the growing attraction--and frustration!--that Dante and Erin face, unable to stay apart but questioning why this feels much worse than one's everyday dose of the hot-and-lusties. I LOVED the push-and-pull in this part of the story, leaving me panting and impatient one minute but then shrieking (and laughing!) in denied pleasure the next. It was a sweet climb, filled with all the best aspects of a slow burn erotic story, and I eagerly lapped up every new scene, which not only gave us more of this couple's undeniably hote attraction, but another piece of the mystery about Dante filled. This is Helen Hardt at her best: giving us tiny pieces of a greater truth that's going to be mind-blowingly awesome. Gah! Such goodness.
Enjoyed this one as much as the first. A quick read and continuation of the story between Dante and Erin, but definitely a little steamier. So far I have only read the first two in this saga and I still hope that there is more written on the vampire history. I appreciate that each volume in the saga feels a bit like a tv episode as well. I would just like a bit more world building and to get to the core of why Dante was captured to begin with.

The story of Dante Gabriel and Erin Hamilton co rubies in this second installment of Helen Hardt’s Blood Bond Saga.
With the help of his grandfather, Dante Gabriel, seeks to learn more about the connection he shares with Erin, especially with it interfering with his ability to fulfill his strong urge to protect her.
While Dante try’s to understand, Erin is on the verge of frustration. She so strongly wants to be consumed by Dante, to give in to her desire and at every turn she’s been left aching.
Helen Hardt does an amazing job of giving the reader that build up between the characters. Erin’s frustrations easily became my frustrations. I just know that as their story progresses and when they eventually come together it will be beyond explosive.
Surprise, I hated this one as much as the last for every reason I hated the last - but the part that stuck out to me in the hour or so it took me to read this volume (and skim the last 20-odd pages) was this one scene at the beginning that really drove home the fact that I don't think it occurred once to the author to fact check her work. The rest is just the same old, poorly written, lust at first sight; nobody acts like this stupidity.
* Spoilers Below *
Erin (this nurse who's supposed to be good at her job) can't tell a UTI from a pregnancy.
A 50 something year old man came in with a BP of 101/94 (that's not a heart attack that's hypertension) is rushed in on a gurney because he's having a "heart attack" so the doctor on call and Erin give him heprin & another blood thinner. He flatlines and then their immediate response is to hit him with defibulators, no mention of CPR, it's their first option.
Forget the vampire plot, when is someone going to sue this ER for malpractice???
Dante's struggle with his nightmares of torture are taking a toll on him. His tormenter still continues to have a strong hold on his body and mind. He is also confused as to why he is so drawn to Erin. She is like a drug addiction he knows he cannot surrender to. Erin is in the dark as to why she is so attracted to a man she hardly knows. One look from Dante and she is instantly lured into his spell that he holds over her. They get to a point where they are about to sexually submit to each other, only for Dante to keep pushing her away before anything happens between them.
We see Dante finally revealing to his grandfather some of what happened to him during his imprisonment to the person that calls herself his Queen. Dante's grandfather has found bits and pieces to the mystery, but I wonder if they find out too much that Dante and Erin will be in danger. The suspense is mounting and I look forward to Part 3 to see what happens next.
Wow, these keep getting better and better. I am so addicted to Dante and his story, it draws you in and holds you. I never thought I would be reading a vampire series but I am and loving it.
Every word Helen gives us in Blood Bond #2 gets us closer to answering questions about Dante’s disappearance and why he suddenly feels drawn to Erin, a woman he randomly met in a time of need. His attraction to Erin is a force he doesn’t know how to deal with. Erin is just as intrigued by Dante and as much as they try to move on from their chance encounter, it's abundantly clear that won’t happen.
Each turn of the page gets us closer to the answers we desire. What happened to Dante for all those years and is he still in danger? What does this connection with Erin mean and will it bring her in harm’s way? There is no doubt this series will continue to keep us intrigued and coming back for more. Helen has the perfect formula with mystery, intrigue and sexy times. Rest assured there will be some “oh no she didn’t” moments, as well as “whew, is it hot in here?” This is a bloody journey you don’t want to miss out on!
I swear, I think Helen has cast a spell on me. I went from hating all things vampires and afraid to even read book 1 to being excited to read book 2. And how hot, hot, hot can book 2 be? Dante and Erin had a a lot of sparks, but memories from, Santa's time in captivity always douses the embers, before they have a chance to turn to flames. I'm retelling some of what he could remember to his grandfather, Dante learns why he is so drawn to Erin. And that gives him an even bigger reason to protect, her. Helen, Wow! Just Wow!
Omg!!! This series is going to be addictive. I absolutely love this author because she always blows my mind. This is the second part of the Blood Bond series. You will need to read this first book or will be a little lost. I started this book right away and I could not stop. I was hooked on these characters so much I read it all in one sitting.
This story starts off right where the last book ends. Erin can’t get Dante off of her mind. She feels something deep for him but he keeps on blowing her off. She is also hearing some crazy stories about vampires. Erin doesn’t believe in the paranormal at all but when one of her patients tells her a story she starts to wonder. Erin knows that Dante is wrong for her but he keeps on coming back to her. She is starts to notice that there is something different about Dante but what?
Dante goes to his family for help. He doesn’t understand why he feels so close to one human, Erin. Dante feels things he can’t explain when he is with her. He is also trying to find out who the female vampire that kept him for so long is.His family is shocked on how much Erin gets under Dante’s skin. Is there some kind of love connection between them or is it even more dangerous than love?
I absolutely loved this book. The storyline has it all romance, mystery, and some suspense. You will fall in love with these characters all over again. I love that Erin is no damsel. She is a very strong and independent woman. She gives Dante a run for his money. Dante is still a lost soul that is trying to find out why he was captured. He feels very deeply for Erin but he is afraid of what she would do if she find out who he really is. These characters have some intense chemistry that will make your temperature rise. This talented author will have you at the edge of your seat. The ending will make you want even more. I can’t wait to see what will happen next to these unforgettable characters.
Helen always has a way of blowing your mind with her writing.. Blood Bond Saga is no exception. I highly recommend reading this Saga in order.
Part 2 begins where we left off in the Part 1. Dante continues to be unavailable to Erin causing her to think of him more and more.. What is it about him? Why can't she seem to just move on? As she continues to ponder thoughts of him she also continues to hear more and more about vampires. Can she really believe that paranormal exists? She is really starting to wonder after hearing a particular story that has stuck with her.
Dante also struggles in this Part. He is also battling his own internal demons. How can he have feelings for a human? Is that even possible? Normal? Nothing about the situation is normal, however, he knows what he feels and these feelings go VERY deep. Can he stay away? Is he too dangerous for her?
This book really has it all.. If you want a good love story with some mystery and darkness then this is the book for you. Erin is probably one of my favorite heroines to date. She is so independent and strong willed. She is definitely a challenge. The Chemistry is also amazing. The banter is incredible, as well as, the internal battles they each face. I cannot wait to see where this is going to take us.. In true Helen fashion it will be nothing short of amazing.
I was excited for this book and devoured it the second i got my hands on it. I was not disappointed to say the least. I found myself wanting to bite my nails off from the suspense that was being pumped through the pages.
Dante...sigh. I loved being able to follow him and find out more about his struggles and past. My heart already ached for him but not it hurts even worse.
Erin is such a strong character and I love the way her resolve falls when it comes to dante. I cant wait to find out more about her situation and how it will all play out.
Everything about this book draws me, makes sense since its a vampire book 😉 I cant wait to get my fangs into the next one!
And the flaming hot relationship between Dante and Erin continues to be an absolute page turner through part 2 of the amazing Blood Bond Series. I never thought that paranormal romance could be so addicting, but boy was I wrong! Helen Hardt has taken these characters and brought them to such life that it's incredibly hard not to fall in love and almost.... just almost make you want to go find yourself and offer up your blood to one of these flaming hot vampires! You've done it again Helen Hardt, made us fall in love with an amazing man we never knew could exist.
Whoa!!! This is so intense and riveting!!! Can't get enough of these two and what is drawing them together. Dante wants answers and what he discovers change so much. Erin wants answers but still can't figure out the connection. Can she trust Dante when so much is not adding up.
This is the second book in the Blood Bond Saga and continues Erin and Dante’s story❣️We find out a little more about Dante and what’s happened to him over the last decade while he was imprisoned but we also learn a little more about Erin’s role….of which will surprise you - it did me.
This part seemed a lot of a filler, nothing really substantial has really happened yet and some things were also repeated. I hope things start progressing more soon.
This author has a talent for making you not want to put her book down. “One more chapter” over and over again. I am completely obsessed with this series.
This second part was just as amazing as the first part of Dante and Erin's story. I really loved they're story so far and I can wait for the 3rd installment.
Amazing series if you love romance, vampires and an amazing story
OMG it just keeps getting better and better I loved it, Erin and Dante are amazing, this series is one that will go down as top in vampire books, cannot wait for book 3 😁, it’s amazing!! The plot is just amazing I can’t wait to confirm all my theories.
Absolutely loved this book it’s only part two but Helen continues to keep the reader wanting more. It’s an amazing story that is captivating and enjoyable throughout the story! I couldn’t put it down once I started! I’m enjoying the Saga and look forward too much more to come! Where this one leaves off makes me want the next part now because I’m dying to see what comes next for the characters and the chemistry between them is exciting and electronic. Loving these parts of the Blood Bond Saga.
Blood Bond Saga: Part 2 starts where Part 1 left off and now we have an angry vampire. Dante Gabriel is just ready to taste Erin Hamilton and he smells someone else has already fed on her. She has no idea this has happened. But, he pulls away from her every time they get close and he still struggles with the time he had been kidnapped and the things that happened while he was kidnapped.
Blood Bond Saga: Part 1 & 2 are very good stories and as you read it I just want more and Helen Hardt does know how to tell a story! I can’t wait for Blood Bond Saga: Part 3!!! Fortunately, it won’t be too terribly long of a wait! 4.5 Stars
