an LTM Western About A Man Whose Wife and Child Were Murdered

LTM has penned a western about a small rancher who had been a bounty hunter. A Judge has an assignment. Deliver a prisoner to his courthouse. It takes a few days but he accomplished the mission with the chance to find out who murdered his wife and child. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

Good story

A decent story about an old drunk trying to get past a terrible grief and barely doing it. Grief is tough to handle.

GRANGER REBUILDS

There are many ways people deal with a personal lost, usually it's alcohol abuse. They becoming functional alcoholics, able to work but alcohol slows them down mentally and physically. Granger falls under that title, his family which consisted of a wife and their daughter were burned alive in their cabin. No one knows who was behind this horrific act which left Granger a lost soul living in a barn with the family dog.
There's sexual and physical harassment of a young secretary who was Federal Judge. This judge held the mortgage to the house she rented as a gun to her head. He threatened the secretary with lost of her home if she quit working for him and he would make it hard for her to find work in town....remember employment for women during that era was practically nonexistent.
This is a sad situation that continues to this date of alcohol abuse. Even though Granger is having a problem, I believe he'll pull through this period of despair and get his life back on track..He has a brother Albert who seems to help his brother when he asks..good sign..family support
